Is there a way to automatically store recorded video/pics or any other data to your external micro sdhc yet?
P.S. If there's a thread on this already please point me to the right direction

Yeah, just click on settings, (the gear wheel icon when in picture mode), and go to storage and choose SD card.
Ah! Thank you, sir
Double thanks, great find.
Yeah, that's a pretty important setting; video recording on Full HD takes about a MB/sec. I did a 4-minute video yesterday and it was a quarter of a GB, so I was very happy it was going to my SD card!

What about doubletwist airsync into sd card? Searched but so far no luck. Any tricks/apps or something out there?

Thanks for helping me out if you can....searched all over but didn't find anything on this specific topic.
I came from Blackberry just a few weeks ago and it was as simple as connecting the BB to my PC, going into the SD card, finding video I recorded on the BB...watching it on my HTPC and or simply saving it on my PC.
I was curious if it's at all possible to record an HD vid on the Sensation, connect it to a PC...save it and/or play vid?? Obviously without a MHL dongle.
I know the vids are on my sd card....but I cant find them? Or it seems they are encrypted or something. I searched for .3gp...file size... etc. Nothing?
Is it not as simple as it should be...like BB was?
Thanks for your time!

App does not work since ICS release. Apps must run off internal. There are workarounds but more hassle than they are worth.
Not sure why someone would even need this feature in this day and age. It was only invented to deal with shortage of space before cell phones caught up with the times.

So yes, as the title suggests, I want to move my default app install location to my MicroSD card. I've seen lots of tutorials on how to move the default install place to the internal SD card, but nothing has said how to move them to the MicroSD. Thanks for your help in advance!

Are you sure you saw tutorials showing how to get info on the "internal" sd card? They normally go there. You sure it wasn't "external", that's the same as the micro sd card.

Actual you can. One way is to go to manage apps then select an app. There you will see a move to sdcard option. The easiest way by far though is to use this handy little app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidsail.dsapp2sd&hl=en
You can also use it to set the SDcard as the default save location. Some apps won't play nice if installed to SD though. Meaning they take forever to load and there widgets won't work. Why you would need to do this with a phone that has 2gigs of storage is sorta beyond me. The OP must have a metric crap ton of apps. lol

It is indeed moving them to the internal SD. Nice catch. I honestly never bothered to look at it. Just assumed SD was the external. Well you know what they say about assuming. Thanks for the catch.

The best help I can manage is a suggestion to avoid this. There is a good reason it wasn't implemented, more than one. Unless you like your apps to dramatically slow down loading times and disappear on boot, that is.

Yes, I did a bit further research and found a way, but it required making your phone think that the external SD was your internal SD, and I just thought that might be too much. Now that you say that it makes it slower, I'm going to abandon the project entirely. I have enough space on my internal SD to store my apps, and I can live with only storing media on my external. Thanks everyone!

I don't so much have a metric ton of apps, rather a metric ton of spare kernels, nandroids, and rom updates.

On all of the jellybean ROMs I've tried the music app seems to lag at times when my screen is off. Not sure why it happens just wondering if their is a fix. Also its seems that in order to play music I have to quit out of the music app and restart it for it to play, and that's not with the stock music player app that's for all of them on the play store such as pro amp, player pro and a few others.
Thanks guys.

no issues here, where is the music located, ext or int sdcard, if ext maybe an issue with the card, either way maybe time to format either or both sdcards, back them up first

You could be right I have all my music stored on external, im going to try installing music app to sd card and maybe it wont be laggy, if not that then ill try putting music on internal, then ill try formatting just want to make sure I do everything first before formatting. Thanks ill get back to you guys when im done.

I think you have a really low class speed external SD, maybe class 2-3, that's why its laggy. I have a class four though and have never had a problem

hmm that's rather strange then. maybe jellybean is just optimized for higher read/write speeds?
class 4 and higher 16gb are cheap, I've seen them for 5-10 US, or u could just go the route u already know of, internal

EDIT: Since more memory doesn't hurt anyone how does this SD card look, any opinions?

new mem wont hurt but that maybe not the problem
first try "stock" music player and save the music files to your internal sdcard, if it lags then ext sdcard not the prob, further troubleshooting required, btw dont have cable plugged in as it might be the media scanner running in the background which might effect performance, it seems as if something might be running to get the lag u r getting

like i said alot of my music plays fine and some others just unable to play now but were ok before.
this is weird and a pain. also some albums are not in correct order in terms of the track listings but that i can live with compared to unable to play.

through the pc and through settings on the phone.
iv googled this alot and found no way to fix this. there must be a way.
Seems simple to troubleshoot here. Simply plug device into computer, copy a handful of songs or ones you know that have issues to the phone's hard drive, unplug device from computer, take sd card out of device, now try playing the songs off the device's hard drive. If they play just fine, well then obviously the sd card is the issue. This is the first step i would take at least to figure this out.
Also try using the internal storage and see if they will play from there.
