On my Arrive, I've been catching up on some video podcasts and everything was working great. But yesterday and today, it hasn't been marking them as played so when I come back to play the next session, it restarts. I'm having to go to the list and mark them as played before continuing. I've synced and even soft-booted (held down power to get the Goodbye message and then powered back on), but it didn't help. Might be a Windows Phone 7 question more than an Arrive question.

I have an HD7 with mango 7720 on it, however since Nodo and mango betas, if I try to play songs I've downloaded though with my Zune Pass account in Desktop Zune and transferred to phone, the phone will more often than not stop responsding at the end of the tune andf I can only recover by pulling out the battery. Has anyone else seen this behaviour and found a fix? I've seen a a couple of posts about peope having this now ang again but this is relentless!!

Have seen the same here on HD7, but seems much better with 7720. Annoying as this is the only event that requires a soft reset (like back in the old WM5/6 days). Interestingly, if running a GPS logging program like Marathon in the background, it never happens. But if just feeding music to a pair of earbuds or a sonos box with screen off, good chance of it happening.

Not happening with any of my Zune Pass music. Everything is running smooth, and I'm on 7712.

how much zunepass music do you have on your HD7?
I've got 1260 songs / 8.06GB. Probably 70% of that is ZunePass, the balance DRM-free mp3. TProblem was first observed with NoDo and never occured before that... but i probably didn't have more than 4GB back then.

i only have about 6 zunepass albums on there. Something I noticed last night; when i'm listening to them on wireless network in my flat, no problems, it's only when I'm outside and connected by phone network (3G or HSDPA); this is when i get the problems. I'm on UK-O2. So I'm thinking now, does a track check DRM on each song each time it plays? Surely it can't be that?
I have the same problem - I cant confirm, but I too suspect it is only when I am out and about, and not at home

Solution- keep the screen on at all times.
It is directly related to the lockscreen. It doesn't matter in my experience if data is on, off, 3g, whatever. It will happen more for certain artists than others, but it will eventually happen to every one.
You can even "save" a crash, when you hear it hang before going to the next track, turn on the screen and it'll immediately wake up and start playing the next one.

I've read a few threads where people have had it on other devices. It mostly seems to be HD7 however. I have an HD7.
SOLVED. This worked for me anyway and the phone has been running with no problems in last 3 days (which is 3 days more than before). I switched off Artist art on the lockscreen. As soon as i did that, no problems at all and gap between zunepass songs has reduced a little even."

Still doesn't work for me unfortunately. It definitely has something to do with the lockscreen and DRM though
aquanaut88; I forgot to mention, I also removed lock pin. Not ideal I know but anything to cut down on battery removals.

Since the mango update there is a small change slightly irritating me.
Everytime when I push the power butten when in sleepmode the lockscreen shows.
But since mango it takes about 1 second to show the information like date, texts, mails etc..
Does anybody has the same problem and knows how to fix it?

the thing goes away if there's song active in mini player. so, go and play a song, stop it, turn off the screen and then turn it on again. there will be no more lag in displaying clock and callendar.
the lag will come back if you go and play a video. the song will go away from the mini player, and lag will be present till the next time you play a song.

That one second must be killing you
For me it's not a big deal. I guess this might be battery saving feature so phone doesn't have to sync all the time while it's off.
I had this problem and it ended up going away on its own after a few days.

I had this issue during the beta, however it was fixed in final release. Not sure what to tell ya.
I assume it takes about a second to gather the data, but I haven't suffered that delay either. It probably depends on how much email and contacts and other data that you may have.

I can confirm this. I did a few tests this afternoon. Youtube videos do not appear to invoke the bug, but videos played in the music/video app doe result in the delay.

Hi everyone, new user here.
I recently switched from a 1+1 to Mate 9. (brought from China). After some struggle, I manage to get Google play on it and installed my mobile game- FE:heroes.
I manage to open my account fine and played for a bit.
But I realize a problem soon after, I can't go back into my account. So after I closed the app, I tried to re-open it a bit later.
It doesn't work. So (I don't know how many of you played this game) after the starting screen it shows a basic page with a start button. I press Start. Then game just hang on the loading screen.
There is no error message or anything. it just sit there and load forever. (I had to closed the app manually).
Whenever I reinstall the app, I can relink my Nintendo account and go into my account once. Then as soon as I close the app, I can't go back into the game anymore.
Again, it just hang on the loading screen (after you press Start).
Also I get no notification from the game (FEH), such as your stamina is filled, or there is new event so on.
Of course, I get no such problem on my 1+1 and the game runs fine (even right now).
My mate 9 is running B167 version of Emui 5.0 right now, not rooted.
Wonder if anyone has similar experience or any help?
Another problem with Mate 9 is I dont get FB message notification. I installed FB messenger app on the phone. But it doesnt alert me when I get a new message. I have to go into the app manually to see a new message. I do get message alert from WeChat/normal text/email so on. So don't know about this one. I played around with settings for a while, hopefully I made a difference?

Could anyone tell me why Samsung released this device with this horrible bug? Second day after purchasing the phone, stock apps still on it, I'm watching a YouTube video and my phone just freezes. I can hear a messenger call ringing in the background but my phone is completely unresponsive. It does it while playing games, browsing the web, even while checking my phone settings and apps. Is there any fix for this other than twiddle my thumbs and hope for an update. That or purchase another phone, which isnt feasible at this moment due to budget constraints. With a phone this buggy, samsung should have allowed an exchange program. I would be willing to go back to the sky pro or earlier, just so I don't have to wait for my phone to reset itself every time it freezes.

I'm having strange problems with Android Auto on Honor 8x.
Sometimes, it works great. The navigation bar shows up, and when I click the audio button, I can see Pocket Casts and Spotify as intended.
However, about 2/3rds of the time, Android Auto doesn't work properly. Either, the bar at the bottom is blank, or my audio apps are not recognized, and pressing the audio button gives the prompt 'Pull over and install android auto apps when it is safe to do so'.
I'm trying to figure out why it works sometimes and other times not, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. I've tried making sure spotify is open before connecting the phone, I've tried making sure it's fully closed, wiping caches of android auto and google apps doesn't seem to make a difference after the initial set up either.
Anyone else?
I'm having exactly the same issue except for me Google play music always appears; just Spotify is sometimes there/sometimes isn't
I initially thought it was a Spotify issue and downloaded Deezer which had exactly the same issue after a few days
I've found sometimes that rebooting the phone works but I've also resorted to reinstalling Spotify at times
I'm just sitting waiting patiently in a hope that it's some "feature" which gets fixed when pie is rolled out, but who knows!

Mine was just weird full stop! Screen goes weird and kept locking up, half the time 'hey google' wouldn't work amongst other things. I ended up deleting it.
Glad to see it's not only me. It's great when it works, but it's always when I'm about to head out on a long drive that it ****s the bed. The 15 minute journey to town of course, everything's mint..... Having other problems with the phone as well with it's heavy-handed regulation of pretty much everything. No DNS-based or VPN-based adblock can seem to stay alive either. Tried them all! I really hope a decent custom ROM comes out one day, but if not I will probably cut my losses and head back to Moto. Shame really, because it's great value for money and an AOSP version of same hardware would be mint.
