I use LTE On / Off. Last night i turned off 4G before going to bed and when putting it back to CDMA auto (PRL) and now its stuck on 1X. Anyone know how to fix this? My download is ultra slow - i feel im on 9600 baud! I was using Mikrom, flashed to 3 other roms including new radio ROM and it did not fix it.
There is a post with almost an identical name that will explain that the LTE network is down, look around there are quite a few threads that talk about it.
verizons aware of the problem they said there tryin fix it
Depending on the area you are in, there may be an outage. Spoke to cust serv and to tech with VZW and was told, in Seattle, there is a 4G outage causing many TBolt users to default to 3g or 1x

It looks like its been fixed here in north Louisiana. 3g is back up and running here.

As of 3:33am eastern time LTE is back on in metro detroit... Slow as 3g... But it is on.

I live in fresno ca so only "4g" here is tmo which sucks for the places i frequent.
Theres no 4g with sprint att nor verizon and i heard att is fastest 3g

At$t is the faster of the 3 though this also depends on how saturated the network is in your area. I have seen 3g on at&t anywhere from 4mg down to slower than edge speeds. You really need to test your local network or get responses from people in your area.
Typical speed for me in Greenville SC is 1900 down 1300 up.
on ATT here is los angeles area, i get 3Mbps down and 1.5Mbps, pretty much everywhere i go no matter what. HSPA+ has not been turned on near me as far as i can tell.
Same here for So Cal. I got 3 down and 1.5 up

3Mbps down and 1.3 up in northern Fort Worth. No HSPA+ here yet.
No HSPA+ in Cincinnati yet, so 2.5 - 3 Mbps down is as good as it gets. 300 kbps up until I get HSUPA enabled. I'm just rooted stock at the moment.

Only 4g market near is Sprints and its in KC, My gf's EVO gets about 6mbps there.
I do a lot to save battery but keep the phone flying, but one thing i havent tried is using LTE only. I live outside of philly, so im thinking since im blanketed in all those 4g emvs and dont travel far i can pull this off all day without switching to 3g and back and forth. Anyone in cities centers doing this?

I use LTE Only mode, I live in L.A. and the entire city/county is pretty much blanketed in 4G, I've never seen my phone drop to anything else besides 4G but I'm sure it would if I went somewhere with bad service. Battery life is great for me on LTE only.

Use 4g only here in san Diego.. no issues
4G only here in Jersey City, no problems.
LTE only here in DC and all is well until I go too far from the city. Then I just switched it to 3G only. TeamAndIRC ftw.

Good battery life with LTE? LOL yeah, if you don't use data. Try using it hard for a couple hours and see where your battery is.
Yep in Houston. Very rare does it drop service (usually only if I'm in the rear of a store) and it drops to 3G. *using *#*#4636#*#* method
I use it all the time.
I have a few spots on my commute that 4g drops for a sec and if I don't have it on lte only my tethering will stay on 3G until I turn off data and turn it back on.
So when I leave it on lte only it might cut out for a sec but comes back on.
I only use LTE in Nashville as well. No issues.
I haven't lost service since I went LTE only a few hours ago n I've been playing on it ever since. Pretty good. Maybe the device takes on 3g if that signal is stronger? Every other time I use it In my house I notice it flipping between them. ill have to really take a few days n see if it makes a difference w battery

phone/dialer, *#*#4636#*#*
tap phone info, scroll down, choose LTE only from drop down menu, wait or optionally tap radio off and then radio on

LTE mode on in Denver - spotty as your head towards the mountains
LTE only in Seattle area, no problems.
I use an app called Network by mangelow to manage the radio.

I've experienced the same problem, it hardly ever drops to 3g, always straight to 1x. I also live in a extended service zone and usually only get 1 or 2 bars of 4g at home. One thing I noticed is that if I have my whole hand gripped tightly on the phone, I will lose 4g. Kind of annoying at times. Hope it is just an automatic switching software problem and they can update it to seamless 4g/3g switching with no 1x!

I have 4G signal but can't get any 4g data in Dallas. Anyone else have this issue? 3G works fine.

think I read in the rezound forums of 4g issues in the southwest. Haven't notice any problems down here in San Antonio
Haven't had any problems here in North Dallas recently.
Call Verizon and see if there is any outages in your area. First thing to do when you have issues as Verizon is always playing/tweaking with their 4G network.
Seems to be back up now. Was getting the 1X with no failiver to 3g all weekend.

I live north of you in Lewisville but have not had any issues with 4G in weeks..
I am in Phoenix and have basically no data, I had 1X for a while, rebooted saw 3G for a couple minutes and now nothing again. I see on another board other reports.

Wow I thought this was only me. I have toggled data and 4g/3g. Rebooted and I am stuck with 3g only. I am running son of a bliss.
No 4G in Beaumont, TX area either. 3G is available. 80 miles east of Houston here.
Same here in Cincinnati. Noticed 1x around 7am, rebooted a number of times. Searched some forums and twitter. Verizon, get with the program, if you have a data problem post it on Twitter so we know.
I can confirm as well in SE Wisconsin, only weak 3G

this is getting embarrassing for the nations most reliable 4g lte network.
Baltimore area, haven't toggled 4G/3G yet, but my phone currently has no data at all--not even 1X.
EDIT: After 4G toggle, 3G is fine.

I heard it was solar flares. The Hughes net at my work went down too and T mobile had the same problems.
Is everyone back up? BC i'm still stuck on 1x. I talked to VZW yesterday and they told me there were no issues in my area (Indianapolis, IN area), however I am still stuck. Had the SIM replaced last night at local VZW store. Tech support on the phone told me if the SIM didn't take care of it, they would send me a new phone. I'm not convinced that will do any good either if its everywhere. OTOH my wife's 4G samsung charge runs just fine sitting right next to my bolt...
I just got 4G LTE turned on in my area and I can't seem to get 4G to toggle on.. It's only showing a 3G signal. I tried using a 4G toggle app using device info to change it to LTE only, but no dice. I'm sitting next to my friend with a 4G signal, so I know it should work. Can anyone offer any assistance?

Pretty much in the same situation here except my area has had 4G for months now. I've personally tested a Razr and a Bionic in multiple locations nearby with fantastic speeds and was pretty excited to have LTE on my new phone but haven't been able to hold onto a 4G signal for more than a minute or two.
Since this is my first 4G phone it's been recommended that I call Verizon and make sure my account is setup correctly for it. If that doesn't work, the main Verizon store in my area has full LTE coverage so I'll bring it there this weekend and try to swap out with a new phone.
