Someone over at the Xoom forums posted the APK - this doesn't seem to work on some devices. Is there an odex file along with it which you can post?

ugh. that is so depressing. come on google.

i too tried to apk from xoom forum, i was thinking that maybe we could force it to install with root. by just moving the apk in root explorer into system/app. i dont have root at the moment as i used FOTA, anyone willing to try?

Tried. Doesn't work. Anyone know if there's odex files available as well as the apk?

Hope someone can mode it so it works fine on the transformer.

You need to root your phone then flash a ROM with 3rd party apps enabled to install an app that is outside the android market.
Search 4shared.com and type applanet.apk or you could go to applanet.net

You can install an applanet apk via the sideload wonder machine but you won't be able to install the apps though it anyways.. ATT just won't let it happen.

yup basically, even after sideloading applanet, you'll still need to install apps via sideloading if you don't root.
Applanet is warez, although I'm sure everyone already knows that.

[Q] Ice Cream Sandwich live wallpaper

Where I can find that live wallpaper?
It's shown in this video, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRtVxUoHoEI
It would be VERY great to having it on my Sensation.
Thanks in advance.
My best guess would be u have to dl ICS system dump, find the wallpaper, port it so it can run on GB and there u have it!

How to port it? I'm not a dev.
Try pushing the files using ADB

Which apk should I push?
I presume "HoloSpiralWallpaper.apk", huh?
Try it and if it doesn't work try pushing all the ones to do with live wallpapers
I believe its not gonna work, as the ICS apks arent compatible on GB

UP! Nothing yet?
Maybe you need to decompile for GB or the LWP needs lib files to run...

I've looked into doing it, but considering I have no idea how to recompile an apk and such I didn't get very far. From what I learned you have to change a line of coding in the manifest.xml file from ICS 4.0 to GB 2.3. I'm sure someone who has the knowledge can accomplish this.

If you're on GB then you can simply extract the AllShare.apk from a ROM that has it or go in one of lumins thing and look for the APK. IF it fails to install try pushing it and fixing permissions. It will most likely fail because it has Samsung proprietary stuff so just follow Lumins guide if nothing goes into plan.
If it doesn't work at all then I'm sorry, it might need other proprietary stuff like Swype.

Today is your lucky day...
I had to flash back to stock, and I remembered this thread, lucky you.
so... here is the apk, not sure it will work because is may have dependencies, but try it out.
apk does not say AllShare, but the icon matches the app in the drawer.
if it won't install, push it to the system\apps folder with a root file explorer.

Just curious, did it install or did you have to push it?
I was afraid that would be the case. It most likely has touchwiz and other proprietary Samsung files it depends on. Possibly even the kernel like wifi calling.

Tried both and I also fix the permissions but nope its most probably something to do with tw.

You can see in logcat when an apk won't install because it is missing something -- and it will usually say what. I've seen clear logcat indications that TW libraries are what is missing on Memo.apk, for example.

Install 4.2 Clock and Keyboard?

So Droid-Life posted the flashable zips a few days ago for the JB4.2 clock and keyboard apps. Is there any way to extract the .apk from these zips and install on the RAZR HD XT926? Obviously can't flash them since we don't have custom recovery. Just wondering if there is another way to install them. I actually already have the keyboard from last week but I really want the clock apps.
Thanks,
caseym

unzip and copy over apk and lib to appropriate locations, and set permissions for each. working well for me.
You can just copy them over to the correct locations, look at the updater-script for locations and permissions.
These are included in the Vitreous Rom as well, which can be installed without unlocking your bootloader.

Not working for me...I'm wondering the same thing as jojo. I copied the apk for the clock over to /system/app and set perms correctly. When I try to install it just says App Not Installed.
