Help restore G2X after root and app delete - T-Mobile LG G2x

I am new to Android and need some help.
My G2X has WIFI issue. I rooted it using SuperOneClick and then deleted 2 Tmobile "MyAcccount" system applications (version 1.0 and version 5.0.15) using Titanium Backup Free version. (I backed up data though)
Could someone tell me how to restore the G2X back to original state? I heard that I cannot just run "factory reset" after what I've done. Can I use SuperOneClick to unroot and then run factory reset? Will it restore the MyAccount applications to factory default as I deleted it already? I appreciate your help in advance. Thanks.

If you used Titanium to back up the apps first you can use titanium to restore them as well. You can use Super One Click to unroot the same way you used it to root. Then you can do a factory reset but im not sure if that will restore the "my account apps", Why are you trying to restore??

Factory Reset

I was wondering if you need to reinstall factory apps(browser, home, car dock, etc..)(I prefer after market apps for those) or will they automatically be reinstalled on factory reset. Also do i need to unroot or uninstall titanium backup, root explorer, and any other apps that require root. My purpose is to reset the phone back to the way it was the first time i ever turned it on. Thanks in advance for the info.
Droid2 Rooted.
Stock Kernel and OS.
hey there,
not to sound sarcastic, apols if it comes over that way, but you kinda answered your own question there.
.....if you factory reset (like it was the day it was made) then expect exactly that.
Not taken that way at all. I am kinda new to this stuff, good with computers and stuff just new to the phones. Maybe i can be more specific. I used titanium backup to remove some system apps you can only remove when rooted. I was going to use the hold down x while turning the phone on method. Then selecting the wipe data/factory reset option. My question's are- Do i need to unroot before doing this? Will this reinstall the apps deleted by titanium backup or did i really screw up by deleting them(stupidly used the free version of titanium, instead of paid, so only saved the data of system apps, not the app itself)? Thanks again and sorry for the unclarity of my first post.

HELP

So, I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S (Captivate) last weekend. I had it rooted and everything was fine. Then I got rid of some of the bloatware. I wrote a couple of programs for myself to use, so I needed to enable side-loading. I did that-successfully.
First sign of a problem was when I went to the marketplace and it would not download any single app that I tried. So, I went to restore the phone using the backup I made, but some reason it wasn't there.
Then I decided to revert to factory settings. I did a hard reset, but the problem was still not resolved. Then I found a thread on here about Odin 3. I've been trying to use that all night but the best I've gotten is to the File Analysis step. I've tried at least 10 different times.
I'm trying to get everything back up and running and preferably rooted again so that I can use my Titanium backup to restore all my apps and settings.
I'm at my wits end, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Factory reset would not solve any problems that may have been caused by deleting core apps. Is your phone rooted and nand unlocked (baseband) or just rooted? Are you running a custom rom? If so you need to reflash the rom after clearing cache and dalvik cache. If you still have the original rom then you can reflash an official samsung firmware using odin, look for your handsets firmware on www.samfirmwares.com
Other than that you could try finding out which apps are needed and using root explorer you may be able to fix the version you have. If the market is your only issue then try clearing data and cache settings/manage apps/market and download manager (two different apps)
How did you root your phone? Did you install a custom ROM yet? What bloatware did you remove, and how did you go about it?
Ok. In the wee hours this morning I finally got Odin to work and now everything works as it should. I switched computers and the program worked right away. Intersting tidbit though, I accidentally left the sim card in during the reflash and I had no ill effects. I'm actually wondering if that helped me.
Thanks tina333.
nenol, I used the one touch root. I have not installed a custom rom and I don't remember exactly which of the programs I uninstalled. I used Titanium backup to both backup my apps and to delete the bloatware.
There are very few system apps that are not needed by the system, titanium only backs up data by default. Be careful what you delete and always research first

[Q] Factory Data Reset after Rooting

I have unlocked (with the htcdev method) and rooted my ATT Status (ChaCha). I used Titanium Backup to remove most of the AT&T bloatware. I have installed several new apps from the market. I have enabled "Back up my settings" and synchronized with my google account.
If I do a Factory Data Reset what happens? Do I have to re-root? Do I recover my apps and settings from Google? Any other suggestions?
You mean nobody out there has reset their phone after rooting it?
Your phone will be rooted, because factory reset respects the system partition. Your bloatware will also be gone.
You will probably get all your old apps from the market, unless you reboot before it finishes (at least this is what I always get).
I suggest you to install Titanium Backup, and backup everything.
Thanks. I have backed up everything with Titanium backup.

[Q] Bootloop After Using Titanium Backup

Hi Guys, my friend recently rooted my RAZR HD via TeamViewer but didn't install a custom ROM or a recovery. Before I did a factory reset to clean things up, I backed up everything to my SD card using Titanium. After finishing the backup, Titanium said I should reboot to finish the restoration. Every since then I've been bootlooped. Do any of you know of a solution to fix this?
Thanks,
Carter
I don't think Titanium asks for a reboot when doing any sort of back up. It will ask for a reboot when doing certain restorations. It doesn't ask you to reboot when restoring user apks but it does on system apk.
If I'm understanding your question right, you backed everything up but then you decided to restore everything. If you never installed a ROM then it is strange for it to boot loop. If hyou did install a ROM then it could have started to boot loop if you restored a system file that isn't compatible with the ROM.
What I would do is start from scratch. Factory reset the phone, re-root, re-install Titanium, and restore only the user apps and your SMS messages if you save them. It's a slight hassle but only about 1 hour worth of your time. By the time you begin trying debug everything to find the culprit you would have lost hours.

I don't know if it will work in this situation but you might try wiping cache/dalvik cache in the recovery. That way you aren't starting from scratch. If this doesn't work, try the above suggestion instead.
Sorry for the late response. Did another factory reset and didn't use Titanium this time. Anyone know how to get my texts back though?

If you saved everything in titanium backup... then you have a backup of your messages. Open Titanium, click the batch tab, scroll to the restore section, and then restore and only restore the message thing. It should be a green color and on the right it should say xml. It will restore all your texts and mms. Just don't get confused and restore the messenger app.
If you have a lot, then be patient and make a sandwich, it's a little slow.
