Heyy I was wondering if someone could make a 1x4 widget that is completely blank unless a text comes in, then it shows the text. Or if it exsists show me to it! Thank you!

Awesome
These widgets look great!!!! OMG I have been waiting for this, especially the inbox one.
Running SR2.5.2 Vanilla with LP.
Thanks+1
Time to rip some stuff out of the dump
CM6 RC3
Wow, this is great.
By the way, if anyone is using Launcher Pro, this widget resizes horizontally very well.
When resized vertically the contact picture gets larger so it takes up more room. The voicemail message is given only 3 lines, no matter how large you make it. I will attach screenshots.
Thanks for this!!!
Anyone know if this is intended to bring VOIP calling to Android devices? Also is there anyway to resize this widget so it takes up 1x4 instead of 1x3?
Oh my goodness I love your dock background!

The only way I know of to resize the widget would be with something like launcher pro plus or you can do it by default if you're running CyanogenMod

By default he means with ADW Launcher. Cyanogen includes it in the rom but it is available for download. It is free in the market.
Thanks OP for posting the link. I saw this when it first came out on the G2 forum section but I couldn't get anyone to post at least a picture and I didn't want to go through all the trouble just to extract the new GV app(I'll let someone else do that). I just wish Google would put the voicemail feedback section in their mobile app that way i don't have to get on my computer to give feedback.
Awesome, thanks for the link. Loving the.widgets.

Anyone tried this with 2.1? Anyone with an Incredible in this forum even still on 2.1? ha
Thanks for the heads-up lou! Can't wait to see if any other new gapps fall out of that dump. BTW Widgets are great. Makes sending text with gvoice much more streamlined.
#1 Okay, I've asked this before, but to no avail.

#2 what is the name of the file of the pop-up that comes up at the bottom of the screen? The one that alerts when Su has been granted, apps loaded from os etc.
Any help would be.....helpful.
Thanks.

anyone?
10 char
The files start with "popup" iirc. There are 3 of them. One for top, bottom, and middle of the bubble. And if you didn't know already its in framework-res.apk.
Edit: actually that might be for the big popup. The smaller one is only one file I think. You will see a picture of a grey square but I'm not sure if the name starts with popup.

Its not a pop-up. Its called the toast frame and is called as such in the framework: toast_frame.9.png.
i found one called bottom_bar but its rectangle and the one im talking about is rounded.
thank you very much! i do appreciate it
Does anyone know of a simple "text box" widget that allows you to post a word or two, similar to minimalistic text but instead of the time, just whatever you want.

Not quite what I'm looking for.
Minimalistic Text has a static text option if you make a custom layout and look under misc.

Hi there, i am the developer of active apps. It appears that the widget active apps 1x1 is bugged.in the area you just mentioned.
I will provide a fix for that soon. Meanwhile you can enable control panel in widget. On pop up, Click on second button to switch mode.
Please send me email for the bug next time as the original thread has been deleted by mod.
Thanks.
Ahh OK thanx.... i did change to application istead of popup, the popup looks nice tho so i look forward to the fix.
Nice application...

It has just been fixed and uploaded to the market now. Let me know if the same bug still occur.
Btw, There will be two small buttons on pop up if you enable the control panel from the widget.
1st one is to kill all
2nd is switch between mode. Kill or switch.
So when you click on the app, it should act as according to the mode you choose.
Give it a try.
And thanks. .hope the app did help you in someway or another.
Thanx, switching in popup works great now, the control panel switching between kill and switch does not work tho... it's still allways switching no matter what i choose.
I love this app / widget....

Glad that it works for you now.
Hi All,
I've been quite closely following Alterbridge and his Overcome GB custom rom, and since i travel around alot, its been so worth my while following it through the XDA app.
The app itself is clean, no extra fuss, and gives exactly what you ask for. What i'm driving at here is, do you feel its missing anything? Maybe we can get the developer to join us and see if they like our ideas and possibly add them to the app.
i'll go first - i think the option to THANK someone in the forums, if they helped you in any way could possibly be added to the menu (for me in android, its long-pressing menu drop-down on a specific post )
The app itself is VERY similar to Tapatalk but its missing one of my must-have features. I would love there to be a "dark" theme that uses white text and a black background instead of black text and a white background. Just something to think about.
xda app
i still can't figure out how to post with it
Search function, being able to see the smileys instead of text wrapped in colons, ability to re-arrange the order of the favorites list, and the ability to attach files other than images.
I use the XDA app alot, probably more than I visit XDA on my PC, so I guess the little things that the tapatalk app don't do tend to bug me a little after awhile lol.

There is an option to use different themes. Press menu/more/settings/display style. And you want the simple theme.
