i have just receive a kaiser 8925 from my brother...he bough it from us..its an at&t phone...he unlock the sim for me and i didnt know...i try to install hard spl on it and do hard reset on it(i tot its not yet unlock sim)...its a wm6 and running 1.27.12.11 radio rom...now it can detect my sim card but i cant receive text or call from people...i also cant call or send text...what should i do??...btw...im live in malaysia...using digi network.

He have a G4 locked cid device, and update this for a wm6 using shelltools without problem.
after this he try to unlock to use another brazilian operator sim card. (from Claro to TIM)
and after this he only have miss call all the time.
with the Claro sim card (the oficial device operator) he has signal but dont recive call.
with TIM card he dont have signal.
all the rest work with claro, grps..but he cant talk.
anyideia what hapen and what do to back device work?
btw already try to install the cingular fix to see if something hapen but dont work too.

I've just unlock my Orange tytn2 because I want to use a Tmobile UK sim .I did read here sometime ago that flashing Orange phones might brick it.How do I go about using a different rom so as to get Tmobile setting?

There is a piece of softeare called connection setup. this will auto detect the network and your tmobile sim and will prompt you to install the settings.
I am on Orange UK and that software was taken off as part of the Orange UK customisation.
Now, usually most cooked ROM shefs have included this Connection Setup software with the ROM. so once you flash your phone (and only do so after you have extensivley Read and Read the froum) you will be able to get the setup automatically.
If you didnt want to go through all of that yet, you need to find the cab (software) and run it. most threads with cab collections will have it.

Make sure you hardspl before flashing a new rom, most roms have connection setup after the flash.
If you want to avoid bricking your Orange TyTN II, and wish to flash a new radio (or new rom including a radio), you'll have to SIM unlock it first.
I did it on a french Orange TyTN II, and everything went fine.
If you directly flash a new radio (alone, or together with the ROM), the SIM lock window will pop-up, and you will have to get the code from Orange before being able to use your phone again.
ok i recentley whent into trouble with my spv e650 (cant get a signal) and now i cant appunlock this phone ..whats going on?! iv updated to the new orange rom ...i run sda unlock and it first says phone not unlockable and then after i click ok it says sda unlocked - but i done this 10 times alredy and still my phone is app locked. about the network issue, iv been down to my local orange shop and thay said its not a prblem with the arial its a swproblem ...so i want to flash a orange uk radio rom( i seen it on these forums somewhere) - but i need the app unlock to work ;( please can someone help me, as i need this phone for importaint phone calls

there are a couple of ways I know of application unlocking an orange e650 - there is an official french orange site where you give them your IMEI number and they send you an unlock program. Alternatively you just need to just Pauls unbranding tools - which unbrand the orangeness and then the sda unlock works.
I have attached the two unbranding tools here - upload them to your phone an run the prep one first and then the other.

Thanks for the reply, i have flashed back to gonzo's 6.1 rom and i have flashed the new orange radio rom, buts still cant get any network covrage, any ideas on this and reg fixes? i know its not an atenna fault because i tryed another orange sim in it and it was on full signal and then 5 mins later its went back down to no signal, i need some help on this issue, i have looked around this forum buti cant find anyone that has/had the same problem.

Thanks for the replys, iv done a hard reset and flahed the rom to gonzo's and back to the new orange(uk) rom and to the neo rom, flashed the radio from the old orange(uk) radio rom to the new and back.. still no affect ..does it matter which radio rom do i use? i mean could a diffrent one say from htc work? or can i only use the orange(uk) radio roms?

ok tryed all radio roms, reflahed 6 updates (incl dr.gonzo's and the neo rom i like them both ... me want dual boot htc phones....) anyhwho. any tips i have taken my vox/spv apart and there looks like no fault ..like a lose connetion or something, and everything was fine (sucks putting the thing back together with only a phillips screwdriver and a blunt knife - the keybord screen brown ribbon ...ugh never again xD) right thay wher nice storys any tips cause this phone is relly scewing me over ...... real head spinner
oh one idea, would unlocking and changeing the network help? it shouldent change it so ...but woth the ask

um the thing about that ..is it was a phone of a friends ..that i brought off him for £80 ..so no warrenty ...
Hey everybody, I posted the same question in the WWE_04 thread, but no answer until now... Hope it's okay to start my own topic on this here!
So I installed the awesome cotulla WWE_04 rom on my magician (orange SPV M500) and am so happy with my good-as-new pda, but I am having one MAJOR problem...
Dumb enough, I didn't SIM-unlock the device before flashing to the cotulla rom. I got the unlock codes from Orange and am all set to go, but the thing is I don't get the option of unlocking! When I insert a t-mobile card, it just does nothing but appears to be searching for network in the status bar. No message saying: "enter unlock code", nothing. After a while it just says something's wrong with the SIM card. Tried a couple of other cards as well, no help.
So, I also tried the SIM-unlock program from the XDA-wiki, but that one just says it doesn't recognize my device and that it's no Magician.
I also tried to go back to the original rom, but when I try to flash the rom with the original one it ALSO says that it cannot recognize the device, that it's no Magician.
Soooo... anyone knows what to do next? Can I still save my device? Anyone have any ideas how to either SIM-unlock it (as I said, I have the code, It just doesn't prompt me for it. Is there any other place to enter it somewhere?) or get back to the original rom first and then unlock it in the traditional way?
Main problem is that Orange no longer exists in the Netherlands (they merged with T-mobile) so I cannot even give/sell it to someone with an Orange SIM if I wanted to...
Please help!
i think you should take it to the place where you bought it, or to a service. probably they can enter the codes, or they can unlock your phone

I have a Verizon Tp2 with a bad esn, I got the one with the bad esn because it was cheaper. I have a Mogul on Verizon and I want to change the esn to the Mogul. My mogul is on radio 2.3 I think. Its a Verizon stock radio. And I hard spld it. I have the Tp2 with the Verizon Sim card already in. When I run mtty, any version 1.11, 1.42, etc; I always get a Connection Error in mtty, and I disabled usb connection in Activesync. Can you please point me to an Unlocked Radio?
Nvm i got it to work with an unlocked radio but what i dont get is after changing the esn the phone still wont make calls.
