I'm really liking LG right now.

I mean Samsung would not do this for us.
I think I'm strictly HTC and LG now. And yes I know this is not a&d butt its cool too see a company like LG do this.
Tmo being open to side loading. This has potential to be a great device.

lg will definitely make a name for themselves by doing this
but also remember this is 2.2 source not 2.3 i believe.
2.3 update should be very soon hopefully they dont make u wait forever for that source

Whats with all the urgency? Its not like porting is an overnight process. Porting typically takes days weeks and sometimes months.
It is not that easy. I believe Gingerbread (2.3) requires a new kernel. That we do not have, nor do we even have kernel sources for 2.2 yet. It might be possible to port PART of it, but there wouldn't be 4g, amongst other things. Also, this would likely be the GSM version, which leaves us without a proper modem.
So all in all.... Probably not going to happen.
I saw this posted earlier on androidcentral I believe and they were talking about a password on the .zip I think maybe it was the filename but google it for yourself lol

At least we can test the os. Radio and 4g can be solved in time. We just want to test this rom. Also, I know how long it takes to port. Lol

Apparently you really don't. CM6 is still ages from being ready for the Epic for example.
Not to mention we don't even know how to full extract or even flash these files properly.
Stop being so impatient about this. It will be no easy path, period. In all honesty, we may never get it working.
There might even be problems further down. We might not have a touchscreen driver, we WON'T have keyboard, hell the screen might not even turn on.
You seem to think that this is some easy task that will be accomplished, and it is not.
Simply put; Don't get your hopes up.

The problem I have with the review is that it doesn't address any of the "issues" being discussed here (reboots, freezes, WiFi vs. cells conflicts, signal strength, battery level reporting). I mean it's great GB should be coming soon, but unless it fixes the numerous bugs...well it's not of much use IMHO.
Kind of Odd that the clock says PM/AM when Google removed that in gingerbread
Didn't the system info say 2.2 lol

The camera thing is disappointing, but my guess is this a rom pull from a test phone rather than the official all bugs worked out 2.3.3 update. Hoping the camera app stays the same.

Been running factory 2.3.3 on my recently deceased N1 for a few months now, like a lot of you I'm sure. Doesn't really do that much for me anymore. What I'm really waiting for is 2.4 (also Gingerbread I'm told) with native support for the front camera.
Correction: I'm waiting for 2.3.4
some one need to leak this, i want it NOW. CM7 is still a little buggy, once this leaks or releases CM7 will be so much faster.
Good find.

Maybe we can twist Paul's arm to give it to us?
This is a joke right ... since when did gingerbread have .. pm or am on the clock? ??

Rather disappointed to see the baseband and kernel is the same as our 2.2.2 phones.
I like that the notification bar is black now, back to what I was accustomed to with my old Galaxy S

May be Nvidia was waiting for this release in order to let go the drivers.
But i dough it, some how they always want to make more money over it.
My very sincere gratittudes to the Devs for making this Betas on ICS so far so good
even with few scripts it makes it a lot easier to handle the few bugs over the betas
I wish Google would focus on getting ICS on every Android before upgrading the OS again and alienating even more users.
My first Android phone never even got Gingerbread despite what LG said (surprise surprise).

And extremely fast frame rate now, and little tricks in the notification drawer also. Google voice search is revamped and a lot better. Cosmetically little difference over all though.

I sure wish they'd be released or an official ics release for the O2x happens, G2x would take that much longer, either way, I'd be happy.

Yeah I read that only about 7% percent of phones are running ics.its really a mess google is creating,by the time a lot of phone get ics it will be like 2013-14 when a new update has come.they should really take a 2 to 3 year gap window.

There is only ics sources so dont get too happy, i highly doubt we will get jb from cm team as well since its more work then just porting over. ICS kernel by lg only covers p990 and su660. If RC makes one for us, thats great else we are basically on our own. Please stop spamming for this crap already. T-Mobile & nvidia along with lg has screwed us.

Umm..... The ICS sources are compatible with JB. And RC has already started development for it.... He's most likely fixing the majority of bugs for the p990 and then porting it to the p999 so yeah.

This whole sub is getting ridiculous, the mods should limit conversation to talk of cases and extended batteries till RC is done with his work and we can all go back to being our curmudgeonly selves with CM10.

This thread and op are spamming.
Geesh..
G2x-temasek CM7 build135.4 w/faux 054 kernel
Also it's not just spamming, it's an actual liability for us. Let me repeat this: bugging the devs (namely RC) may threaten our chances of ever getting a viable port of CM10 and 10.1. RC has already shut down the O2x thread because of (*) whining about timelines, problems already answered and general crap that doesn't help development. We should keep our forum strong and lively so the devs know we are still here and hungry, but that we aren't a bunch of freeloaders (which we are actually) that feel entitled to their time and effort.
