The problem I have with the review is that it doesn't address any of the "issues" being discussed here (reboots, freezes, WiFi vs. cells conflicts, signal strength, battery level reporting). I mean it's great GB should be coming soon, but unless it fixes the numerous bugs...well it's not of much use IMHO.

Kind of Odd that the clock says PM/AM when Google removed that in gingerbread

Didn't the system info say 2.2 lol

Get glasses... it says 2.3.3

The camera thing is disappointing, but my guess is this a rom pull from a test phone rather than the official all bugs worked out 2.3.3 update. Hoping the camera app stays the same.

Get glasses? I thought I saw 2.2. No need to be so insulting.

Been running factory 2.3.3 on my recently deceased N1 for a few months now, like a lot of you I'm sure. Doesn't really do that much for me anymore. What I'm really waiting for is 2.4 (also Gingerbread I'm told) with native support for the front camera.
Correction: I'm waiting for 2.3.4

some one need to leak this, i want it NOW. CM7 is still a little buggy, once this leaks or releases CM7 will be so much faster.

Good find.

The author thanked Paul from Modaco a few times and on Twitter. Me thinks he got the ROM from Paul
Maybe we can twist Paul's arm to give it to us?

This is a joke right ... since when did gingerbread have .. pm or am on the clock? ??
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App

Rather disappointed to see the baseband and kernel is the same as our 2.2.2 phones.

I like that the notification bar is black now, back to what I was accustomed to with my old Galaxy S

Yeah, I think that might end up being more troublesome than anything else.

Watch the video. Looks like LG customized the date and time settings.

I mean all you have to do is just take some honeycombs (Perferably without bees) and squish your thunderbolt in the middle. Easy as that.
Seriously though I am running Froyo for now may switch to CM if they can ever fix the 4g issue but I bought my phone for the speeds and to be honest Froyo isn't that bad. Especially with the extended battery. 75% after 8 hours =P.

Impaled Keyboard patch fix 5 different speeds! [Modified] EC05 ONLY

Yes, this is COMPLETELY credited to mkasick and theimpaler747, as we all know he hasn't been around, so I decided to do this. I am setting the keytimer to 5 different speeds for everyone to try out. It seems that people have different success with different times. The higher the number, the longer the keytimer waits. So try them all out and see which one works best for you!!
As always, here is the original keytimer thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025533
Here is the ORIGINAL keyboard patch from mkasick... None of our settings would be possible with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1039991
Remember, this is EC05 Android 2.2 ONLY. And you must have a compatible kernel. Just flash it through clockwork!
Let me know which timer works best for you!

Why do you say that? I'm almost positive they will be fully functional and fast. The ics rims feel more sluggish then MIUI, not saying the work team douche, hell/doniqcc is poor just saying with what they are given they are doing the best they can. With all the proper drivers and source they can make ICS 10X better.

It was who ever was working at the O2x forum "ICS 4.0 Sources Released....." If you mean those old alpha's from back in November, those are unrelated to to our ICS builds.
About HW accel, it works, but media accel doesn't work very well.
I feel that whitehawkx AOKP with the forward ported kernel works well. If you by chance judged it as sluggish because you used EB ICS build 3 and flashed a different kernel it's because you can't flash other kernels on EB ICS.
Sent from Narnia
It's been stated by almost all devs including arcee stating that HW accel isn't 100% just a hack to get it sort of working.
I didn't flash a different kernel on EB ICS, as it has been stated not too.

So who fixed it then? cause it feels the same as it did with arcees build 3, sure its a little smoother but not enough to be fixed 100%. Arcee made the statement about 3 weeks ago that the hack is as good as it's going to get without drivers/source...

But i dough it, some how they always want to make more money over it.
My very sincere gratittudes to the Devs for making this Betas on ICS so far so good
even with few scripts it makes it a lot easier to handle the few bugs over the betas
I wish Google would focus on getting ICS on every Android before upgrading the OS again and alienating even more users.
My first Android phone never even got Gingerbread despite what LG said (surprise surprise).
