Yea it is, I have the older non HD version which you can probably find on ebay for $150. I didnt buy it with the intention of using it on my phone, that was an added bonus. I travel alot and am a huge jets fan. with the slingbox i could watch the games where ever i was, and the only other option was NFL sunday ticket from direct TV - which i think is like $299 so it made sense getting one

makes sense I guess. The HD one really provides a good HDstream? I was wondering if you could record shows with that thing as well?
I dont know too much about the HD one, the regular one works just fine for me - i have a 47 inch 1080p HD tv that i hook it up too from my computer when im not home - gratned the quality itsnt the best but its more then watchable (expecially for streaming media blown up that big) . . . upsteam connections from my house are around 800k, and it uses all that is available which is stable for the most part.
I think i saw somewhere on the website something about a Hard drive and DVR functionality.
looks like there is some 3rd party software that lets you record from it.

Yea I agree skyfire is nice try but not really a feasible thing... especially probably not for VGA devices... Damn ADOBE GET WITH IT...
If Playon transcodes the stream based on pipe size or media renderer, you could easily get uPNP working by setting up a VPN. I haven't heard of many other media servers that will do netflix (at least not stable).
Stumbled across this when streaming free TV app. They have a great deal of content, live channel, movies on demand and HBO, HBO needs a Window Plug-In though. The Other players work and are built in, some optimized for Adobe 10.1, the others, not so good. Overall, I think 24.99 subscription for first 6 months is very reasonable for what is available. You can watch on multiple computers as long as you want. Streaming live TNT works really well on Nexus in stock browser. Also player allows you to go full screen. After first 6 months it goes back to regular price of 35 or 36 something like that. But if you don't like you can always cancel. They also have great support, from what I have read. Right now I'm streaming HBO from my PC and simultaneously TNT from my phone logged in at both places. So if you want live TV on your phone at an affordable price, with a wide variety of content, this is an option. It's user friendly with search bar, and built in players. Here is the Link: http://www.1tvpc.com/

Must be a full moon or something. This is the app theme section right, No spam here. It's not actually an app but , I thought others might be interested in the option. It streams through the browser live shows that are on TV. Is that better for you?

I'm not trying to convince anyone to get this. I have it now and using it on three different computers, 2 laptops and the Nexus. Just have a look around and see. It's not something you hook up to your TV like Sling Box. Basically it uses the function of Adobe 10.1 and brings a variety of TV and live TV content to our phones and computers. You could probably find these place on your own each site and bookmark them, but i don't want to deal with that hassle. I tried looking for a few places by Googling them, and a lot of times I came up empty or it was just video, not live streams.

In my opinion. It is worth it. Here's what I know works straight from the phone , tried and tested. FX Channel, USA Network, TNT, TBS, MSNBC, CNN, HISTORY CHANNEL, ESPN, FOOD NETWORK, LIFETIME MOVIE NETWORK AND DISCOVERY CHANNEL. All of these channel work very well on the Nexus one right off the browser. So, hell yes, it is worth it. and you can use it on multiple computers. I already feel my money was well spent. And those are the immediate channels that I tested. Very good quality. Plus the built in player allows you to go full screen.
To the person who said something about not being a Nazi. This is really an app or software that works directly with Adobe 10.1 Flash. If you don't have that app, it wont work. So, really this is only an option available to those who have FROYO. It is an outside app, software that works through the browser as a subscription, that streams live TV using Adobe app Flash 10.1. the player is exclusive to them, BoxLIVE TV streamer and that is also part of the package that is being payed for. Without it it wont work on the phone.
The only channel that doesn't work on the phone is HBO. It does however work on the computer lap top with Windows Media player 11 plug in.

24.99 is for the first 6 months. Then 34.99 for every 6 months after. Jetflicks TV in the market is 29.99 for 6 months and doesn't offer any live channels, but has a wide variety to choose from.(shows). Sling box is connected to your cable TV. Which means you must have the Sling Box and cable tv + the app in order for it to work. Approximately 200 for box and and app on the market and the price of your cable every month. 1tvpc you don't need cable at all. All premium channels work on the Nexus except HBO. FX, USA,TNT TBS SPIKE TRUTV DISCOVERY CHANNEL CNN MSNBC HISTORY CHANNEL ESPN ESPN 2 LIFETIME MOVIE NETWORK ABC CBS NBC all these live channels work on Nexus. Plus there is no interruption like Mobi TV asking if your still watching. I fell asleep watching TNT in the morning when I awoke it was still on, streaming on Nexus. You can also create favorites so all you channels are easy to navigate within one location.
Hi all,
Anyone know of any decent music production apps? I've got Uloops but compared to Tabletop for the iPad its pretty dull.
Hope there is something a bit more feature packed avaiable on coming soon.
Cheers
I picked up SPC when it was free a few weeks ago on the Amazon Appstore. Check out the video on the market page, it's a lot of fun.
I don't know of anything in Android comparable to GarageBand on the iPad but if you do find something along those lines (or anything else of interest for that matter), be sure to post it back here!
Caustic is pretty good
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.singlecellsoftware.caustic
Nice, cheers for both of them, will give them ago.
There's a decent app called Plasma Sound HD which is kind of like a synth pad. Worth looking at if you havent already, hopefully it will work in conjunction with some of these apps
Try Reactable.
I can't figure out how to use it but I only gave it a try for 2 minutes. It's $10 but should work similarly to this:

Chordbot lets you play around with chord sequences and provides various musical styles to dress up the chord progressions. I found it helpful for musical compositions and trying out different melodies to go with the chords.
What I like in chordbot and similar apps is... there is only the name of the chord and no information what notes it contains. I never got to learning all the chords names I just use them by intuition (I'm self learned, you can hear my music on Jamendo - search for Tomasz Kucza - and in my games). On Android I tested only Caustic - it's quite fine for fun.
So, what was the ultimate verdict?
Pros and/or Cons....?
Some of these apps are a bit pricey, and I was curious to see how they worked out.
Also, what are you creating? (Genre)
Thanks in advanced.

After trying a few apps I'd say it's a waste of money - these apps are nowhere close to DAWs like Ableton/FL/Logic etc. Maybe FL Mobile will be something good, but if you really need to produce music get a laptop.
I agree they are all a waste of money for producing but they are ok for just for fun.
Might plug my pad into my studio and get caustic used as a synth cubase as theres a sound on it i want to use in a track.
Apart from that they are all a bit of fun

We have updated Droid Anime. Droid Anime is an application that streams anime videos to your android phone.
You can download the latest version here
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.droid.animev2
If you want more anime like Naruto, Bleach, please consider buying our Pro version from our website
http://droidanime.com/Pro
We are currently testing the app before re-releasing it in the market. Would love to have your feedback.
The videos do not work on Low Res devices
Decent app and decent video quality.
It would be nice if you put up currently airing shows and just generally more shows, because 18-19 shows - which I've already seen most of - just doesn't cut it.
Nexus S i9023
Thanks. Can I have your android device model?
We just started adding yesterday. We'll be adding all over this month and the next. If it's not too much trouble, can you tell me a list of Anime we should add?
We're adding Naruto and Bleach now. Taking too long due to the large number of episodes that we have to upload and make compatible with the app.
Ive been searching an app like this for weeks. I'll try it later.
Suggestions:
How about offline watching?
Sent from my E15i using XDA App
You mean downloading Anime from the app and watch it later? We were planning to add that feature. But, since it'd put a heavy load on our servers once everyone starts downloading, we thought we'd leave that feature for the next version by which time hopefully we'll have more servers.
IF you meant watching anime from the app when there is no internet connection, that won't be possible since the app size would exceed Gigabytes. No one would download it.
Would be cool if you post here if the app works on your device.
Thanks
I have no comment

Let me ask one obvious question before even trying this: are they dubs or subs?
Because dubs suck and I will only watch subs.

Nice! Thank you for this. Works great on Sensation.
Thanks for testing it out guys.
@Orbiting234, Negrobembon
We're mostly concentrating on Subs. Except for maybe DBZ/GT and Pokemon since these two Anime were enjoyed by everyone in English Dub.
@Wolfteam20
Once we finish adding anime, we'll release the app in other languages.
@Zephiel
Thanks for finding that. We found that there is no HSOD episode 13 and we linked it by mistake.
@MasterFace
We'll be adding anime series with titles from now on. Yes, we did notice that the tap highlight is not quite right in the Anime index, but we're not able to find out why.
Thanks
Works great here. Only bummer is the small GUI.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Thanks for this. Working great on my droid charge.
Suggestion: More shows, obviously. Maybe a poster of the show, and then the episode list. I think that would look awesome, and would make the app distinctive from other streaming apps. Maybe take the approach that EZ Stream TV took, that app is awesome.
Looks nice so far
Even though I've already seen them, I recommend you to add Nichijou and Cromartie Highschool. Both because they are fun and is still enjoyable on a small screen.
And maybe a design upgrade - especially the icon - would be in it's place.
If I have more, I'll just use your site.
Works on Samsung Fascinate 2.3.5.
As many times I have seen it, Evangelion should be added.
where is the link for download ?
thanks
Anyone know of a way to mirror the screen from the Maxx HD to a HDTV or Roku box? Something like the apple airplay equivalent. I just got a Roku box and have been playing around with it and I have used apps like Twonky Beam and Juice, which will beam content like music or pictures or video that's stored on the phone to the Roku. But I want to be able to stream anything that's on the screen, like play a concert from Concert Vault on the phone and stream it to the Roku.
Not sure anything like this is available.
Allot of new phones being released will have miracast. This is the technology standard you'll need for android. I'm guessing its a hardware thing so may not come to RAZR HD. ;( hope I'm wrong.

As far as I know Roku still doesn't support dlna, so I don't think you can beam to your TV via the Roku. There is a Plex channel but I think it only streams from a pc on your local network.

It looks like Doubletwist for android has airplay support, would work with Apple TV. Have to decide if it's worth it to return my Roku and get an Apple TV. It looks like Concert Vault is no longer free anyways so that was the main reason I wanted it, to stream concert videos from Concert Vault to the TV.

This phone does have dual band WiFi so it's possible we could see Miracast support in a future update. At least, that's what I'm hoping for because DLNA is kind of a hassle, and really not supported at all by today's streaming apps like Netflix. Recent news says Netflix and YouTube are looking into another protocol called DIAL, which is really an interface where you pick the video, but the box connected to the TV does the streaming from the internet. I think that is the future for this kind of thing. Why should I have to stream it from my phone? Same for music services.
If you're streaming from your own personal collection, then DLNA and PlugPlayer work well if you have a DLNA server and a receiver like a PS3.

I thought Miracast had to be built into the chip, like Tegra 3. Not sure a firmware update would do it.

The only thing required for Miracast is WiFi Direct support (which most devices released in the past year or two have). Assuming we see a 4.2 update, which has Miracast mirroring baked in, all we would need are receivers to display the content (it seems not many exist at this point).
