streamfurious is incompatible?? - T-Mobile LG G2x

None of stream works and I only get "broken pipe" error and stops.
Tried to re-install and no luck.
Tunein Radio works fine but it doesn't allow customer address.
Winamp doesn't work sometimes (failed to play).
Now I'd like to know which streaming mp3 (and wma) application does accept custom stream address?

i have been using wunder radio i used to use streamfurious and i have emailed the dev but have got no response hope this helps

I haven't tried to use Streamfurious in a long time, but I used to. I stopped almost a year ago as it seemed like the dev had abandoned at that point. Not sure if he got involved again since or not.

Pandora?

Has anyone been able to force pandora to work on the x7510? For some reason it appears that pandora is checking the model of the phone and rejecting ones that it doesn't feel should work. I can't understand why they would do this... their desktop software doesn't check to make sure I am using an HP or a Dell...
Pandora works great on my X7510.
sori for this question

admo86: "Whats Pandora"
Pandora is essentially a streaming radio station program.
Unfortunately, it will only work in USA now due to copyright problems which are currently insurmountable.
Some PCs connecting via a US based proxy may still be able to connect, but non-US mobile devices, and PCs not connecting via a proxy will be identified by their IP address and routing, and denied access.
I managed to load the CAB file (thanks frnkboz!) but got the 'Not in USA' message.

MusicID (shazam)

Hi all,
From yesterday MusicID is no longer working.
I got the following result after it analyses music
Track: Ugrade Now!
Artist: Get Shazam
I got an upgrade link that leads me nowhere (this is not possible to go any futher).
Anyone knows why?
I visited www.shazam.com put there are no WM version available. But there are RIM, iPhone, Symbian, Android,... versions...
Any MusicID alternative? (I know that Samsung developped a similar application, available with the new i8000 Omnia 2)
Thx in advance for your help.
Still working for me
I hadn't used it in awhile, so I fired it up after reading your post.
It could be the version you have installed. Someone said that at least one of the versions was tied to a particular persons account, so that account could at some point stop working, but that's just a theory.
I'm using 1.3.16_QVGA by Lepsyfou.
try www.musicid2.com

Same. My L26 rom with 1.3.16 on my HD gives the same error.
Would love an alternative version.

So do I
I haven't found anything yet... but if I do, I'll keep you posted
Alternative found
Just follow this link: http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2009/08...app-ported-for-all-windows-mobile-phones.html
This app is even better than Shazam as you can sing or hum a song in order to find the author name and the title of the track.
It works just perfect on my Touch HD!!!
Great find!
The UI fits the HD much better too. The reg edit to make it work from the phones data connection as well as wifi is a bit annoying, but worth the small hassle
Thanks for the update Dino.

Works perfect on my TP2 as well
1800 link seems to imply its no longer freely available, and the downloads gone.
Its available free of charge here and seems to be most recent version, works perfectly on my HD2 without any need for registry hacks.

Pocket Scrobbler, Fring?

Hi,
Had the device less than a day and loving it.
I'm finding Pocket Scrobbler can't detect track information from the HTC Music Player. I've messaged the softwares developer, but in the meantime I was wondering whether anyone had managed to get it working, or if people have a good alternative?
Regarding Fring, I tried the installation via SMS, it gave me a generic WinMo installation. It appears to install fine, but then when you select the Fring icon to open the program nothing happens. Installed a couple of times, restarted phone, but no joy with either of those simple fixes. Again, suggestions or alternatives?

As far as I know, current fring versions doesn't work with wm6.5.
The last rom I have used fringe was Roms based on wm6.1.

Ah, I see. Thanks for that.
Anyone know of other programs that amalgamate your IM/VoIP accounts for WinMo 6.5?
I have been using nimbuzz and it seems to work fine..

I am a Fring fan as well and I have written in Fring forums about the nature of the problem during my HD time (running Leo ROMs) the problem occurs only when the HTC Message is running.
So a temp fix is disabling HTC Sense from Today and enjoy Fring..
I hope the guys at Fring find a work around solution for this.
Thanks for the suggestion of Nimbuzz, I installed it a few hours before reading your post

Won't play 3gpp video after installing Youtube App

Hi, only had the HD2 for a week and I'm trying to get to grips with it. So far an amazing phone. I've already found some useful tips on here, like the bluetooth fix when tomtom install kills it.
I have noticed that when I install the youtube app (also found on here as t-mobile remove it) then the phone stops playing 3gpp videos.
Without the app, I just browse to the memory card and tap on the movie and off it goes, when it's installed a single tap of the file just highlights it and it goes no further.
I'd love some help on this.....
Many thanks in advance,
Chris.
Bump?? Someone must have an idea what's going on here?
Many thanks,
Chris.
Hi Chris, i've got the same problem with t-mobile uk. they've disabled the youtube app, i spoke to their technical guys and they personally think it was stupid of tmobile to remove this (no app and disabled it from the browser, the only option im afraid is either use youtube app but no persoanl videos, or remove youtube and watch your videos again. they ARE working on a fix (apparently) but wouldnt hold my breath. the only workaround i have managed to use is skyfire with a wireless connection (you wont get any sound with 3G).
soz, but you're not alone

ive tried this again. still not getting any soung through 3g. also read somewhere on this site that you can access youtube through ie. i tried again this morning, no luck. come on t-mobile, pull your finger out!!!
Flash a standard HTC ROM or a custom ROM from here on XDA-developers.
You will not be disappointed. My Leo lasted less than a week on the stock T-Mobile ROM. Why they have to stick their own ROM on an otherwise unbranded device is beyond me.

[Q] Say what? Wi-fi internet sharing for Windows Mobile 6.5?

Hi everyone. I've been hearing mention of some sort of Internet Sharing application or addon to the comm manager, that would allow me to turn my phone into some sort of hub. I'd like to be able to use my phone's connection with my iPod Touch, (or perhaps, other devices), so my searching is what has lead me here.
However, I don't really know what the "defacto" modification is for getting this capability. I've seen several threads already. Also, they seem to lack in documentation. They come in cab files - would that mean I can just download and install from my phone right away?
So if anyone can recommend me a wifi sharing app, (preferably for the HTC Ozone), I would be very grateful.

Auugghh. The website logged me out, so I lost my entire post
Anyhow, I'll try and re-write what I had last time:
So I'd like to use 0.9.1, since it seems to be the last free version. I downloaded it and installed it ok, but I have no idea how to use it past that. Could you possibly link me to a guide, or detail it in here?
Well, I gave in at the airport and just downloaded the trial.
Very nice. I'm so glad that I can use a browser that was a least half thought out (safari mobile) rather than that Intermet explorer. What a waste of my unlimited data plan that would have been.
Although, I'd like to be able to use that free version of WMWifi if I could. So does anyone happen to have a guide for it?
