I've got the Xperia Arc on TMobile UK and want to debrand it but first I want to back up the firmware already on it. Are there any instructions on how to do it?
I've seen that FlashTool can be used but wanted some directions so I don't mess it up.

can anyone help i went and debranded my xperia s and now i have ics but me being an idiot i forgot to backup my original firmware i was wondering if there was anyone out there that still has original firmware that i could get so i can update to official branded ics when it is out. thanks
Hey guys! I got this device from my cousin as a present and ive been doing some research and found out that it can be upgraded to jb as well. I know that this is the same as the Acro S. I saw some posts here on XDA saying they succeeded on upgrading it to jellybean. That's why im here because i really dont know how to do it. Can someone give me a step by step guide with the files needed or just link me to a thread? They said they lost their IMEI though after upgrading it any way to prevent that?
Hi i have read through all the guides by king vortex and followed them word for word without success. i have had my tablet rooted before but i kept on getting a request to update my software which was getting tiresome so i did. this removed my root when i did this (very annoying as had my tablet set up perfectly for what i wanted). when i tried to root it again however i for i couldnt do it with the build i had currently installed (10.5.A.0.292) so the guid asked me to use the flashtool to return it to 10.5.A.0.230 which is fine as I have some experience with flashing already. the only issue i'm finding is whenever i do flash it with this software it is bricking the tablet and i have to use emma to repair it which just reinstalls the most up to date software which puts me back at square one. do you have any advice to help me with this???

Two days ago I just bought this Z3. Somethings I would ask:
1. If I root my Z3, have dual recovery, can I get & instal lollipop without flashtool? I would like to get lollipop via OTA or Sony Bridge.
2. Will I loose my root if I upgrade from KK (rooted) to lollipop (via OTA or Sony Bridge)?
3. Now I'm still on KK, not rooted, locked bootloader, only update app on playstore, is there a way/tool so I can make my own FTF in this KK version? Since I cant found FTF Indonesia region (there only AU, IN, SG).. So I can help other user in Indonesia..
Sorry for my english & too much asking.. I'm new in xperia things, coming from htc m7..

I'm trying to find the right Cyanogenmod ROM for my new device... I'm back on stock ROM after trying one that didn't work (the phone was not booting at all anymore, thanks Flashtool for saving me! ).
The thing is, all the ROMs I can find for Xperia Z3 are for D66xx... Mine is a Z3+ (I didn't pay attention to that when buying it... My fault here) E6553. Any suggestion? Can I install a ROM for the "regular" Z3 D66xx?

Hold on... I keep searching while looking for an answer... Would the Z3+ and the Z4 be one and the same?
In which case I'm not in the right forum category... I'll take a closer look at the Z4's.
Well for anyone running into the same problem... That phone was sold to me as a Z3 and it turns out to be a Z3+ / Z4, the ROMs for Z3 are not compatible with it, look at the Z4 this will solve your problem. I now have CM13 currently booting on it
