I've never had a wifi problem with any rom until today. I was using CM7 stable since it came out and out of the blue today my wifi won't work. I have a good connection and my other wireless devices work fine on the router but my phone. Went back to stock and I'm still not having any luck!

I would have reflashed the cm7 rom but before rebooting ran fix permission in the advanced tab

Last night I tried flashing the JL2 modem onto the dilligaf rom and suddenly the wifi said disconnected and would not connect, it just kept searching for a wifi connection. I tried reflashing the JK4 modem that came with the rom but it did the same thing.
I am running a setiron kernel that I flashed after disabling voodoo.
Any help or suggestions?

just to bump this, did you ever figure out a solution? this happened to me once before and after a day or two it just started working, I just flashed jl2 and my wifi won't connect now either.
Odd thing happened today. I was testing out the EOS cornerstone new rom and was having issues with WiFi so I restored my Stock ICS setup but now I can not enable the WiFi.
The WiFi icon is greyed out on the settings tab and I can not swipe the WiFi to on in the settings app.
Has anyone seen this before? Did the WiFi die?
Just flash the ROM you were using again without any wipe. (Flash the ROM that your backup is base upon)
It seems the backup has the HC version of the wifi. I flashed the other rom again and the wifi is working fine.

Just flash Revolver ROM again, no wipe needed
I installed the AOSP test build of ICS, now I too am having wifi issues. I saw the ROM had it listed that there was a bug with the wifi so I didn't think much of it at first. I then installed Android Revolution but now the wifi still doesn't work.
I accidentally deleted my backup ROM..
Tablet says no MAC address found, and wifi settings app just hangs when trying to turn on.. I've re-flashed numerous times.. I've formatted all the partitions, re-flashed again....
Any ideas?
I had to flash the rom again (EOS cornerstone) and the wifi started working. I just ended up flashing the stock ICS from the asus site to start freh again.
It seems like the backup in CWM does something strange with the wifi driver.

I reflashed EOS, wifi works, but i now have a different MAC address than I did before.
So I got bored of the whole ICS and JB revolution and decided to go for some good old fashioned Gingerbread love, so I went to the cyanogen site and downloaded CM 7.2, but since then my wifi isn't working but cellular data works, wifi just connects and stays put, doesn't work, even tried changing the regulatory channels but no luck, any idea? Please help
It's working fine for me on CM 7.2, so there's most likely an issue with your setup. Sometimes coming from ICS back to GB, requires a couple of wipes.

Wiped and Installed twice, still wont work.

I picked up a cracked screen Sensation for my son and discovered it also had funky wifi/BT. It was bone stock running 4.0.3.
I unlocked the boot loaded, S-OFF'd, rooted and updated firmware to 3.33.
Did my research here and determined my issue was HDW related. So I order a new digitizer and LCD flex (the later includes the wifi chip).
While I waited for my kit to arrive I flashed CM10, 8/4 build I think.
Well yesterday I did my repairs and fired up the phone only to see wifi stuck at turning on - and the phone rebooting every so often. BT, however was now working fine.
So here is the twist.
I restored my stk 4.0.3 rooted nandroid and wifi works fine!:good:
But if I do a clean install of CM10 - again wifi does not work
I have read about the issues with wifi and being S-ON, but I am S-OFF.
Any thought s on how to get CM working?

Sometimes ROMs have problems with wifi, I had similliar problem with another ROM.
Some users with HTC Amaze report builds prior to April 5 had Wifi problems. Did you try CM10.1/2? For me there is no problem with wifi at all, worth a shot.
Maybe try a different ROM?
I have also experienced some wi fi issues with some of the CM 10.1/10.2 ROMS. Since there is not really an "official" CM 10.1 ROM for the sensation, you sort of have to accept that there may be some bugs. I would suggest trying CM 9.1 and see if that works for you. Since you seem to be doing a complete wipe and format before the upgrades, the only other problem could possibly be some sort of hardware issue. However, I suspect that since it worked well on a previous ROM that the problem is ROM related. I would suggest you try all the various ROMs to see if the problem goes (mostly) away on one of them. I'm current running a 10.2 ROM and have noticed intermittent problems with connecting to Wi fi, but, on the most part, things work fine.

Is there a radio I can flash to get this working? He keeps complaining about the wifi dropping right after connecting. The problem only happened after I rooted and flashed his phone. Any help would be appreciated.

I have also this problem with my One S. It seems that it doesn't want to connect to all WiFi networks since WiFi doesn't work in my home but it works in my school. Someone suggested to me that the problem is bad version of wpa-supplicant binary. I didn't have this problem until I flashed CM10.2 Stable. Sometimes WiFi won't connect before I switch WiFi off and back on. Currently the only solution seems to be changing the settings of the WiFi router if possible. Make sure that WiFi channel is 11 or smaller and try changing the encryption settings.
