Sorry to be a bother...i had someone root my phone and I've decided to take the phone back....can anyone please tell me the easiest way to unroot it and restore all the bloatware? Thanks

It's unlikely that they would check. Even if they did I doubt that would stop you from returning it. They usually just send it back to have it wiped and reset to factory defaults.
Download bloater from market or get .apk file from the internet and that restores all your bloatware. As for rooting super one click 1.7 if you allready have the drivers on your computer or theres a beta 1.8 I believe allready has then. Select the ragethecage on the top right then plug your phone in and unroot

Don't know if it will help but theres a post that has nandroid unrooted backups of froyo and the Gv update... you could download them with your phone then do the usual wipe data process and restore one of the backups.... hope this helps..

hi my friend have Samsung galaxy y recently rooted only rooted no custom Rom he uses stock Roms now he gets so much hangs so he decided factory reset it. i want to know is it safe or he will brick it?? please help we both are noobs

With the information provided i think it is unlikely that you will brick the device by factory reseting it.
thanks.. here someone said me that never factory reset a rooted phone running on custom Rom.. so i little afraid but mine friends one is still on custom Rom so is it safe right?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Maybe if the custom rom was using somekind of partition , but generally i would say reseting a custom rom won't brick a device.
Reseting a custom rom does not restore the factory rom, but reset the custom rom to its install state.
Its virtually im possible to really BRICK (a real BRICK is something that needs a JTAG device in order to get it working again) a device by reseting it, the worst case scenario is that you have to reflash the rom.
but i have stock Rom so what happened if i factory reset? what i will get after reset a rooted phone or unrooted phone? please help

The device should still remain rooted since the su binary was placed in the system area which factory resetting does not affect (you will just have to re-install the Superuser app). See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17348395&postcount=2.
thanks
so in other words you mean we should not to play with system file right?

is somebody there for help???
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Theoreticly yes, but the SuperUser app is there to prevent that.
thanks if any malware crashes my system than what should i do? factory reset or anything else?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App

You could say so, but you have control over what gets root access and what doesn't. Apps can only use root access if you allow it (you have to grant it Superuser permission).
can someone answer my last question?

Attempt Reset then PM Me for help if needed
Hey guys I've been searching google.com and xda forums for the last 3 hours trying to find a way to unroot my phone so I can bring it in for service. My phone's speaker broke and I get no sound so I have to bring it into the store. What would you guys suggest to do? I don't want to use Odin cause it's not recognizing my phone and I don't want to trip the counter using the .tar Any help please!
Got to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342348
Follow all instructions exctly and your phone will be 100 percent stock no root
Well first thank you for your reply. Ive been trying this method but I can't get Odin to detect my phone in download mode. It detects it when the phone is booted. I've reinstalled drivers and rebooted computer nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Did you flash cwm? If not and all you want to do is unroot that's simple..install a root file explorer and delete superuser.apk. now they can't tell you rooted the phone.

Why don't you brick it instead?

if its just a speaker, they most likely will just replace the speaker.
Make sure you backup anything you dont want to loose, they may wipe the phone ,
I got a laptop back one time, that just needed a new keyboard, they wiped the damn thing, retards. ( this was way back before i was smart enough to do all that myself lol )

Weird, my warranty replaces my phone for free if it won't even turn on. Plus, there isn't physical damage.

There is a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Against hardware defects.. excluding water damage
Hi all. First off I'd like to apologise if this is in the incorrect place (as a seasoned user of forums like this I understand how irritating it can be) but I've hunted about and this is the most relevant board I can find.
The USB port on my GT-I9300 is broken - I can't charge and can't connect to my PC - so it's looking like I have to send it off to Samsung to get it fixed/replaced however I have rooted my phone. Is there a way I can unroot it without having to connect to a computer?
Any advice is greatly appreciated as I'm in a bit of a panic.
You should be able to pull a clean ROM onto it then reboot in recovery and do a factory reset then install the clean, stock ROM. I don't know if they will even care about that but a good just in case

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I'm a bit of a luddite so I'm not entirely sure how I would go about doing the above?
There should be an option to unroot in the su app. Idk which su app you are using but super su has a full unroot option.

Thanks! I never noticed that option before. I'll give it a go.
I've seen some talk of needing Triangle Away & Mobile Odin to unroot my phone properly? Is that correct or am I okay just using the option on SuperSU since I've never actually installed a custom rom, I just unrooted the phone?
This is the Verizon forum. Not sure if the advice applies to the international version.

I have a rooted g2x and I wanted to sell it on ebay. No roms are installed and I want to factor reset it. Can I just do this through the regular menus or is there anything else I need to consider?
If you go into settings and factory reset it, it should get rid of root.

Can't you use NvFlash to return the device to factory condition?
-custom sig.

Too much of a hassle, especially if it's only using stock rom that's rooted with like oneclick rooting method.

Root won't go by this method but who cares anyway.
