[Q] Sudden reboot

My transformer with hc 3.1 suddenly reboot its self, first when on stand by and the second time while running astro file manager. Anyone know if its has a system log for this ?
I have the same issue as well, while just idling for a few minutes.. it happened twice in the first two days since updating to 3.1
I got my Transformer yesterday and it happened 2 times so far. Hopefully it will be resolved in the 3.2 update.

Had the same issue with 3.0.1. Had done a reset to factory settings, and the problem was gone. Applications have restored themselves automatically, so in 15 minutes I was back to my old system.

[Q] G2x restarts 3/4 times a day.

I have a g2x with cm7 rc1 I've had a issue where the phone since yesterday it will restart the phone every 5-10 min 3-4 times a day. I have cleared chache and dalvik but the problem still happens. Anyone have the same issue and if so what is the fix for the problem. Thank you

Overclocked or undervolted?

No overclock or undervolted. Any other ideas why it would do that. Any help i would appreciate it.
Wipe data, format system, reflash CM7 and see if that helps.

Phone shutting down very frequently.

So I got a replacement thunderbolt from Verizon. Rooted it, all was fine for the first few days. Now the phone randomly shuts itself off. I'll have it in my pocket, go to take it out and the thing has shut itself off. It's happened on MR2 and MR2.5. The phone is fully charged so I don't think its a battery problem.

Mine rebooted 3 times randomly in one day this weekend, and one morning it was just shut off completely, like you mentioned. Being on-call 24/7 means this is no good for me... lol, as you can imagine. I am also rooted using jcase's method.
Any suggestions or solutions?

I thought at first maybe it was app-related so I uninstalled all the apps that I didn't have previously on my EVO (was with Sprint) and it hasn't rebooted since but that's only been 24 hours. I'll report back if it reboots again.

As soon as I booted it back up it was only sitting at 36 or so celcius. What temp do these phones really start acting funny

My phone was unrooted stock, and after the MR1 update my phone would restart 1-3 times a day. Then it started to shut off once or twice a day. Verizon had me do a factory reset, and that stopped the shutdowns, but not the reboots. Not long after that, i installed the leaked MR2 for non-rooted phones, and haven't had any reboot issues yet.
I dropped from 1.4 to 1.2 ghz and seems to be doing better for now.

Does doing a factory reset unroot the phone?
factory reset does not unroot your phone. also, try updating your kernel. if you are running an AOSP ROM, make sure you are running an AOSP kernel. If you are running a Sense ROM, be sure you are running a Sense kernel. I personally run Imo's latest 3.5.0 GB sense kernel. he just released it yesterday. Running very smooth so far.
I have had this problem before.
I noticed for one thing certain apps cause this to happen. I had this problem twice and one time it was right after going on an app downloading spree. The second time was after flashing a kernal that my phone apparently didn't like.
The solution
I wiped data and reflash rom.
The first time I had the problem I just went into recovery and recovered my most recent back up and that seemed to work fine. I just wiped data and reflashed the ROM to ensure the problem was solved the second time it happened.
Obviously if this problem is related to the kernal just flash a different kernal. I starting using the dream kernal and I haven't had a reboot/shutdown problem since.

[Q] serious hardware issue

Hey guys,
My beloved nexus s 4g appears to be on It's last leg. After running cm9 stable for weeks without flashing any new roms or kernels it started freezing and locking up randomly. Eventually it started freezing midboot and doing nothing. Sometimes it hung on the splash screen and wouldn't boot. Sometimes it randomly rebooted into recovery out of no where.I tried wiping everything and starting clean, same issue. Most often, it will freeze after being asleep for a while and lock up when I press the power button
I tried running stock, same issues.
I tried relocking and unrooting, same issues.
I tried raising the voltages of clock speeds, same issue.
I have noticed if it's plugged in to a charger, it works perfectly. Any chance It's just a bad battery or something else?
Thanks for any advice guys and gals

Very strange...
RU insured? If so then swap it.
Have u tried to run a logcat to see if it shows anything after reboots?
I think batteries are like $10 bucks or so... or just go to phone store and tell them ur issue and use one if their batteries... but of course you'll need to be back to stock in case they check it
Good luck

It could be the battery not giving you appropriate voltage. I'd buy a replacement. At worst you're out of 10$, at best you Nexus S works.
Not insured. Upgraded to evo 3d, but I miss the nexus. I love the pure Google and form factor of the ns. Gonna try buying a new battery. Thanks gang

[Q] Phone is acting kinda funy

Hey everyone!
My phone has gotten a bit slow lately and I'm not sure why...It has had some trouble loading things..like the status bar... and my main texting app GO SMS Pro has had alot of issues with force closing...this started last night. I'm a bit worried as last time things did this my phone was underclocked too much but this time the phone is running at the default settings and I had to hard reset it. Any Ideas what I should do or what this might be? Also it has soft booted about twice from just turning on the phone! Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Did you wipe cache/dalvik/system/data before flashing the rom?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
Yes I did it has had this rom for about 4-5 months I think no problems until last night. Should I re-wipe the cache and such?
I'd try to sips cache and dalvik and fix permissions
