Hi All,
I have had HTC phones now for as long as I remember. And happy with them!
My last handset was the touch diamond 2 - unbranded and running windows 6.5. I tried varies roms until I found one that I was happy with.
The screen is now broken on the phone (not for he first time) and am thinking of upgrading. Now after a fair bit of research it seems that Android is the way to go - and particularly the Desire handset.
This phone however had been released now for over 4 months - so, does anyone know what (and when) the next hardware to the HTC Desire will be. I'm happy to wait a month or so, but if longer, will probably buy the Desire now.
Thanks in advance for your help.

There's rumor saying that the successor of HTC Desire, HTC Ace will be released in a few months.
You can Google it and have a look at the rumoured specs.
If you will not be tempted to get that when its released, then you should probably get your Desire now. =)

Thanks Myth - exactly what I needed to know!
A couple of months.... hmmmmm, think I'll probably wait.
Thasnks again
Hi guys, I want to buy a phone, now am wandering about the incredible s and desire s
which one do you think is better?
Desire S choosen
Hi,
I had the same situation, finaly I've bought the Desire S and I'm happy with it. It is a litte big smaler then the Incredible but exept the camera as far as I know everything is the same.
The Desire S for me personaly looks much more noble then the Incrdible S and is fitting in every pocket.
I've had the HD2 before with WIN6.5 and Andoird (Desire HD Rom) for mails/Inet etc. and an additional smaler phone to make calls. Now after everything will be set up I'll be only the Desire S.
Cheers
Mike

Click to collapse
It comes down to two things, how big a phone do you want to carry around in your pocket? and which one feels best in your hands....
I'd suggest you go to a shop and try out both dummies....whichever feels best should leave in your pocket (and I don't mean nick the dummy!).
I personally like a smaller size, The D HD is way too big IMHO (I've come from HTC Diamond2 which was also 3.7" screen)
The phones are very similar spec wise, I rarely use a camera...so mega pixels don't matter to me!
They both have the same signed problems when it comes to custom ROMS and root.
Good luck.
Thank u. it will be my first android, in considering ur words, i think maybe the desire s will suit me.
Desire s fits perfectly in hands..i'll choose desire s as a replacement for my hero

Hi guys, i have to buy a new smartphone, i'm undecided between htc desire s and incredible s.
Any advice?
Thanks a lot!
Incredible S!
You will love the 4" screen!
specs wise, both are near identical
just dimensions and maybe some other bits and bobs
Im looking for an "hackable" phone, actually there are problems with incredible s and desire s root privileges. Do you think will be unlocked soon?
Or i have to buy LG Optimus Dual or Xperia Arc?
Hello fellas,
I have been on the awesome HD2 since its release & have witnessed its revolution from the pathetic WM 6.5 to the Android ICS & WP7 Mango.
Now after 2 years I am planning to bi adieu to the master piece.
I am stuck with 2 options HTC One X & HTC One S.
Well I know that there are other similar threads but most are inconclusive.
I am okay with the huge One X screen. But I read many reviews that the Dual Core on the One S is better than the Quad Core on One X.
So is it really true that the One S performs better the One X or is it just because HTC is again not "Quietly Brilliant" as they say.
I mean will the performance get better with the tweaking by the Awesome XDA Dev's or will the HTC One S still win the race?
I know its a hypothetical question but then again I am used to use a phone which is the game changer. Cause after I buy a phone I use it for almost a year plus I have the ORD so I need good ROM updates support.
All respect to HTC & the XDA Dev's.
