I think it is not necessary and that is not good. Usually this is done 2-3 times per year. As long as the battery is normal, no need. It is well after each install ROM to remove the battery for about 5 minutes.

@allenwalker1998
I do agree with you on battery point. Well he already written he is using Stock ROM GB 2.3.3.
@ayazm.140895
Check your GPS also, as It can drain your battery faster. And also try to check your battery health (means how old its is?).
One more thing I want to say kernel also play a fair part in performance and battery backup. So you can try and check with different kernel.
Guys, I'm using Franco kernel#4 and I can't unmount my sdcard after turning on usb mass storage device and when I disconnect the usb cable, my phone doesn't recognize my sdcard. I have to reboot my phone to access my sdcard on my phone. Nowadays I get a “sdcard removed error“. I have to reinsert my sdcard. My battery is almost 1and 1/2 years old. I have 24 wake-ups from android (system itself)

I have changed kernel to tgb 1.2 hotfix, which makes stock rom and tagb 1.2 hotfix. Today I left my phone and checked after sometime it was off! When I tried it didn't start, I had to remove battery and insert the battery again! I kinda checked my battery it was 24% left! then why the hell my phone was off?? I'm so frustrated right now!!

I don't over clock my device! I don't know if over clock is default in tagb kernel 1.2 fix. My battery is 1 year 7 months old.

I found this a few days ago, new original battery around rs. 400: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Battery...9?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20ce27266d#shId
When I charge my phone overnight, it doesn't go past 82%. I've tried battery calibration app. I'm running Slim ROM. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

i'm guessing you might not like the solution..
1. try a diff battery..easiest
2. reflash rom after factory wipe or
3. bring it back to gb stock; reset; wipe and start over
ok,so i have been facing this problem since months now and couldnt find any solution to it..here it goes
1. my phone is connected to the charger showing 58 percent batt. and i reboot my phone while the phone is still charging
2. after reboot the battery surprisingly
shows 79%....
3. if i reboot it once again,it goes upto 98%. :what: :what:
This results in a fast battery drain.. :banghead:
So,any solutions...?? And is anyone else facing this problem??..or its just me!

Use Better Battery stats and know exactly about your battery..
Or you can try to recallibrate your battery

I cannot find a solution but the possible reason is it takes the additional power stats from ongoing charging and boosts the battery percentage while booting up.. I face the same problem, so i reboot it with charger disconnected.
