Definitly going to check this out, love the GO Team.
Would you please give a direct link? My tablet is not connected to the internet.
Thanks.
wow cool downloading it later
Looks good. Will let you know.
Tempting to try it
Trust??
Can we trust the Go Dev Team? its all ad free, free software from an anonymous chinese team, that has access to our contacts, home screen, now what we type.
I dont know if I can trust them. How is any of this monetized?
I somehow find it a bit ironic that how a Chinese dev team produces a keyboard app that doesn't even supports Chinese itself?

I'd trust it I guess, Looks nice and you can't argue with that
I dont really get why it needs to be monetized? It's free to post things in the android market, so I don't see why they would NEED money. But I guess you'll just have to take this with a grain of salt.
I like it, but it's a bit slow AND has no smiley button
thanks
congratulations, very pretty and very fast

The worry is because they have a very wide range of high quality apps, that between them have access to lots of personal data. The apps have been really good, but there is always the question of why is it developed for free? How do you recover the cost of the time spent? They seem like so much more than just hobbyist free apps.
Here's a quote from one of them from a Go Contacts thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12180685&postcount=42
First of all, I totally understand your concern about the application permission and thank you for your feedback!
GO Dev Team is part of the development teams from the well-known mobile Internet company, 3G Portal (aka 3G.cn). GO Dev Team is dedicated for Android based application development.
3G.cn ranks the #1 mobile portal website in China, with ~30 million daily active users and near 1 billion overall page views. They devolped quite a lot application started from Symbian/KJava/Windows mobile age since 2005, all FREE for use. Their business model comes from mobile website and its related paid service, such as online advertisement, VIP reading, mobile B2C and business solutions.
In China, 3g.cn is a very reliable source of news/sports/entertainment info and mobile applications.
As of permissions, GO Dev Team tried to remain minimized. For better user experience, we included version check and necessary notification module, which requires Internet access to our server. As of Contact access, that's what we cannot bypass for SMS and Contacts software.
We will keep our application Free (even for so-called Extra versions). If possible, upon request like some of user already did, we will think about open a donation channel, OR even make some paid extra themes, but again, monetization is not our priority.
Any question or concern , please let us know [email protected]
[Might not be able to reply everyone but we do listen]

Hopefully that helps. Sounds like it's similar to why Google has free apps - to get mind share and people using your paid products, which for them is their mobile portal. Those of us not not in China get to reap the benefits of that.

Version 0.0.8
I'm on my droid incredible Ginger Bread Evervolv rom. The keyboards behavior is horrible. Upon install I did get the back ground changed once and then did a re-boot. I'm now having no luck with the back ground. (user defined & copy .jpg in corresponding folder) Also why does it put EN icon in the statues bar, I don't think it's needed.
I always say there is room for improvement. So I can't wait for many to follow! It's just okay at best this far. Now with usage~Handcent it just does one letter and pulls down...it's not even usable. WTF
Wow this is the best keyboard i've used so far. love the default theme too. Except the auto-corrections are kinda off at times.
Good job Go Team!
They have it.

Using version 0.08 but the multi touch is not working?
Well...i took a closer look at google's search...i found almost nothing which would identify the "go dev team".
Nobody would ever make someone a present just because he is such a nice guy. so i don't trust the go dev team at all. it seems too pretty to be true.
- An absolutely free SMS Pro App with a huge bunch of features, better than Handcent!
- free dialer/contacts app
- free launcher (great, better than sense!)
...
Who pays it? Where is their "privacy policy"...and...even if 10 million people in China use 3g.cn and the go dev teams products, it proves nothing! China has 1,2 billion inhabitants, 10 million are just nothing.
As long as i don't know if the "Go dev Team" is honourable and respectable, i will not use one of their products. I don't want to see my data go to china (and elsewhere! for the same reason i do not use launcher pro...)

Hey members of XDA-DEVELOPERS!
Let me introduce my app.
What's this app for ?
This APP allow you to keep an eye on your incomes/outcomes and so you'll keep an eye on your current balance (not REAL balance but ESTIMATED balance).
As everyone knows, when you pay something, it's not directly debited on your account, and thats why you can easily go under the "0" threshold.
With this app, no need to worry, just check the notification which tells you how much is 'normaly' left on your account !
An account app ? Again ?
Well, yes but I made this one to be CLEAR, PRECISE and CONCISE !
Nothing not usefull will be or has been added.
And plus ! Since I'm still developping it, propose stuff and it'll be added !
That's a great oppotunity, forge your own desire onto the application !
Help me develop it, show me what people can do when thinking together !
What does it looks like ?
Check out on the market, or wait a few for me to upload some screens
On what does it run ?
Millestone 2.1,
Nexus 1 in 2.1,
Hero with beHero 2.1,
Liquid in 2.1
and Legend 2.1 at the moment.
Still, the app is compatible with all device from 1.6 to 2.1.
A big amount of features are comming soon :
- Notification icon color change on a thrshold,
- Multi account,
- Widget,
- Data export for PC based view with Excell,
- Compatibility with the android calendar (?!)
- AND MORE !
Submit your idea, let me develop your envy !!!
Where do I find this ?
"Watch your money" on the market.
Let me improve your lifestyle ! Try, adopt, submit idea !
Stay clear, stay cool ! Save money
Thanks !

Yes it is a freeware, although a donate version exist as well.
I'll try to upload the apk somwhere, but you should be able to get it on the market
at least place qr code here, market search for tattoo is quite useless
Tested for a couple of minutes. Too poor functionality. Only one account (cash, I suppose), only one currency. Look at Financisto app and try to release smth like that.
nice app..... 4 starts... make UI more rich looking....
[feature request] - add in settings monthly income credited like salary on user defined date which will eliminate the hassle to enter the amount every month/week and also some common outgoing money pre set

Too poor... well that's what you say... I didn't hear TOO POOR but QUITE SIMPLE TO USE
Anyways... check out my version and compare it to the Financisto version (Version 1.3.5).
I do not want to make APPS that looks like other.
Here, with this APP i want to do something pretty simple, no HARDCORE functions.
I want it to be : Easy, Clear, Pretty
Thanks chowdarygm, Yes, this feature is in preparation
I'll add it ASAP

that's better
but still there's support of several accounts needed.
You know, I've got an idea. Better try to make a credit calculator for credit cards. There should be: total sum of credit, spent sum, annual %, comissions for serving the card (decimal), comissions for serving the account (per cent monthly), minimal monthly payment (fixed sum or percentage counted from spent sum of credit), total sum of debt (including all % and comissions)
I'd like to have such an app and can help in consulting (for Russian banks)
Hehe Thats some ideas !
I've updated the app, a few bugs fixed like disabling the notification, forcing langage etc...
Comming soon :
- Recurrent Outgoings/Incomes (ver. 0.5),
- Widget ! (0.6 i suppose).

test it @ 240*320 screen res, some apps show very ugly widgets at these screens.
It'll be some kind of "clean" widget you know... Nothing really extravagant
Something simple which allows you to have a look on your account from your HOME ;-)
App update !
Now in version 0.5 :
--- Now support recurrent incomes/outgoings,
--- a few bugs have been fixed.
Next version (big) : WIDGET !!! (it'll be 0.6).
Can you change the currency from euros to dollars?
Yes, the currency is coming soon
In the version 0.5.1.
This version will also fix the FC when pressing back on the recurent activity
New version available !
Now version 0.5.4. What's new ?
New app icon,
New notification icon folowing your currency,
Now export your data .CSV format (compatible excell) !
Seems nice project, but I stoped search for a financial app for android, because no one have the future to import accounts from other programs(at least csv or qif format). I already use a fincnce program on pc for 2-3 years now. In windows mobile platform the most of that kind of apps have this ability, so was easy to import my accound, and to sync them with pc's app also. I don't understand why in Android there isn't any. The most of these I tried(around 10) have only csv export. It is so difficult?
I hope and suggest to add this future, I think that is very important for this kind of apps. And also multilanguage support, for correct displaying of non latin characters.
Also a localization of your app would be nice. I could do the greek translation, if you add this future.
Anyway I will try it for sure, but I hope that you will add the above futures, so to can realy use it too.
Thanks.
EDIT:
Hey, I cannot find it on market. Doesn' t appear on androlib too.

I'll take a look at QIF format
And for the greek version, why not ! If you could translate everything and send it to me i'd be glad to add this.
And I DO export CSV.
I'll try to IMPORT data too
As you can see this app is only in 0.5.X version. which means I'm still developping !
Now named :

I still cannot find watch your money on market or androlib.
Can you upload the apk here?
For translation I haven't try the probram yet. I' ll need all english texts.
I will start as soon as you give them to me.
I hope that you add import future soon.

Just tried it out of curiosity (also been following the original thread)...an amazing amount of work has gone into this...it's quite amazing...although I don't think I will use it myself.
ITs great! I just want to know how to set my countrys weather...I live in sweden...
It seems to be nice!
Downloading now. I'll post my thoughts in a bit.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE HARD WORK!!!
Just downloaded and installed all is ok you have to login to some community for the gold stuff (i didn't do that ) but it seems pretty solid runs nice but the weather will not let me set my area. very nice launcher though can't wait to see the updates
Please anybody knows how to get the weather for sweden? I can NO chinese and the weather app integrated is in chinese!
some of the parts I still find chinese. if the pop up comes up you can just hit cancel and the program still runs. overall neat. custom version with some stuff toned down would be nice

REEEEAALLY hope you didn't use my scripts or steps for your translation because that's really lame to ask for donations and not even give a thank you.
you didn't made this app and you ask for donation? not only that, this app is a paid app and u want it to crack it? you are so messed up.
wait so is this a cracked version?
keep in mind this app was NOT a paid app until this english release appeared. it was a free app - I had the chinese versino yesterday.
please correct me if I'm wrong - since of course I don't speak chinese it's possible that it was only a trial version in chinese and this informatino wasn't translated properly by google translate. But it certainly was believed to be a free app until now.
Either way - posting a donation link is not "wrong" according to precedence on this site. the work to translate it is huge and the guy here did put a lot of work into it at the start of things, so fair enough.
just my opinion - but it seems that some people are very judgemental about other people's concepts. if you don't like a donation link, don't donate.
I don't know about you, but if I do something that takes some time, I won't refuse if someone wants to pay me for it. a donation link makes that an option to the end user. nothing more, nothing less.

no.... it's an english version which the author has now decided to make a trial version of what is now a paid app.
it seems like a really impressive launcher! makes much more sense in english LoL
still a couple of things are in chinese though so I won't be paying until I see it actually fully translated. but it's very very impressive. I bet my wife would like this if it was really fully translated.
nooo you guys are confused
The app IS free but to use it you have to pay for a subscription to the actual maker's website. Has always been that way.
This guy took some scripts I made over in the evo thread to pull all the chinese strings and allow you to re-inject them as english.
All he did was pretty up some lines of text and run my scripts. But the actual app itself was released in english on their own website.
ok i just want to be using something that is someone elses app if that makes any sence. also it would be nice if we could ad some widgets to this like audio set cpu ect

Hey guys,
I have decided to post an application I have been working on. This app lets you share apps with anybody. I originally put this on the Android Market but they didn't like how easy it was to send anybody apps without any rules. From the original description:
Send apps, not links!
Using AppShare, you can send any app to anybody anytime! AppShare doesn't just send links like similar offerings, but sends real APK (Application) files to any other device in the world using a unique Access ID (assigned to you upon installation). It works similar to phone numbers - you select which application you want to send, type in your friend's Access ID and then press send. It's fast, easy and intuitive! Use AppShare for developing apps or sending your favorite apps to your friends.
Optionally install apps without user interaction.
AppShare uses PUSH technology so that it DOES NOT drain your battery! Please keep in mind that apps can take awhile to send/receive, even on 3G. Apps sent may take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours to receive depending on many different factors.
Decentralized servers are used, NO PERSONAL INFORMATION IS STORED. If you have questions about any of the permissions required to install, please contact the developer and he will be happy to explain any questions you have.
Please contact the developer if you have any issues or questions about using AppShare and before leaving negative reviews!
Have fun sharing (REAL) apps!

I can't WAIT to try this. I am not a developer but I've always invisioned an app like this. Gonna test it out right now on my wifes G2!
I tested the app and except for a few force closes it works as advertised. On occassion I had to resend an app several times for it to upload to my wifes non-rooted G2 but in the end she received it. This is an awesome app. Great jod "damageless"!! MyTouch 4G running CM7 2.3.4
Excellent application idea. Have you considered adding protection to prevent the distribution of paid or secured applications?
How would this work with copy protected apps, which is a lot of them?
Is the idea to only get this to work with free apps that are not protected at all?
If a developer is concerned about distribution of paid apps, even basic DRM will stop sharing via the app in the OP.
While this is a nice idea, it puts phones and user data at risk. Sharing apps from non-developer authorized distribution points leads to the spread of malware, and piracy.
Scenario that makes this app a bad idea.
Friend a Grabs AWESOME FIGHTING ROBOT game off rapid share, unknown to him this game gains root access (via embed exploit), steals data and makes the phone part of a botnet.
Friend b sees friend a playing the game, it looks awesome!. Friend a) uses this app to share the game to friend b (being from a non authorized source in the first place), friend b runs game and becomes part of the botnet.
Good point. Luckily, however, you can apparently disable automatic hands-off installation.

is this the according market page: market.android.com/details?id=com.goldtouch.appshare&feature=search_result (cant post links..)
I am wondering about the strange logo
That isn't the market page. It was forced off the market because Google essentially didn't like how people could send apps to anybody so easily. They told me that because not everybody has implemented DRM that I couldn't put it in there. Anyways, rather than put it to waste I decided to post it here. If you let me know of any force closes (tell me how it happened) then I would be happy to fix them and post an update. Please share it with your friends so that I have a reason to keep it alive. Yes, this app could potentially be used for bad things, but it wasn't intended for that purpose. I actually built it so that I could send apps to the lady that does my graphic design so that she could see how things look and send me updated graphics. I have a way around sending copy protected apps, but I currently have the feature disabled (because I thought Google would let me post it if I disabled it, but no luck). Anyways, let me know if you have any feature requests, problems, or anything at all. Thanks!
pls, can you explain the option "use service - instead of activity" ?
And why need the app reading contact data?
Sure. There is a feature that allows you to save access ID numbers to your contact list so you don't have to remember them. It is on the second screen. That is all that it is used for.
The using service preference lets you upload using a service instead of an activity. So it will say "app sent" and upload to the person in the background instead of making you wait.
No personal information is stored at all. Please let me know if you have other questions. Thanks!
Hi, love the idea of this app but can not install on my wifes x10i keep getting a parsing error yet it installed fine on my galaxy s I am guessing its because my wife is running eclair and i'm on froyo is froyo the minimum requirement for this app? thanks
Eclair is the minimum requirement. The reason you would be getting a parsing error is if the apk is corrupted. You will need to recopy the apk over.
This app clearly has no purpose apart from distribution of warez!
Sent from my Xperia Play using Tapatalk
Yeah that's a negative ghost rider, by itself the app has nothing to do with warez. Go troll somewhere else.

Thanks for the reply damageless and I disagree that this app has no purpose for example my wife does not install stuff on her phone thats my job I was able to send her a train timetable app while she was away from home at the train station so very handy for that situation
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Not true that this was ever built or meant for warez. I actually built this app so that I could send apps I'm working on to my graphic designer easily.
nice idea / work!!

+ 1 my wife likes all the cool beta apps I find here on xDA but lacks the patience of me trying to find the app from her phone and install. Dropbox sometimes wont transfer. This app cuts down time and aggrivation drastically. Good looking out damageless!

Hello XDA,
Me and my friend are trying to change Android world. ;-)
We have just finished making our first Android app - bubble level (know also as spirit level or just level).
We are learning - it is our first try in Android Market, but our motto is quality so it should be quite polished. What do you think? Both compliment and criticism will be very appreciated.
Oh... and almost forgot: if you like this app please rate us in market!
App has ads, but they can be switched off from settings menu!
News/updates ;-)

3MB too large for too small app
Looks and works great
I've only played with it for a couple of minutes but it seems to work good. I absolutely LOVE the polished UI. My only problem is that I don't really use a level
Still, great job.
This is the nicest "spirit" level I've seen. I'm sure its not the easiest decision, bu you get a lot of credit for making ads and anonymous data configurable. I hope you go on to build a whole suite of apps!
Great looking app, I am excited to see more people start making high quality UI for android apps because that is one of the things I dislike the most about android is the lack of polished apps. However, I love android still. But keep up the good work
I have to say this is quite clean and works really well. Thank you!
Doesn't let me install from the Market, says it's incompatible with my Galaxy Tab, but I bet it is.
Very nice, Altho ppl rarely download something like a level as a single app though.
Things like this should be combined with other utility apps to have a good selling point.
Good trial tho.
I love that you've given the ability to change every setting imaginable. (full screen, orientation changes, keep screen on, etc.) I feel that most apps need, although lack, most of the options you've provided. And of course, amazing UI. Great job. 5 stars
Thanks gogoad, this is an awesome app, keep up the excellent work!
One thing I really like about Bubble Level (by BRL Technologies) is that it displays 2 levels (2 axis) at the same time, and this is very useful (to me, at least).
Very good graphics, thanks for doing this. Hope to see more great apps from you.
Cheers
not possible to download
Hi,
would love to use it but the market says: This app is incompatible with your HTC HD2. Running andorid 2.3.3.
Some solution?
thx
holly smokes... i love it
Great app, but I was unable to download from the market on my LG Revolution.

Looks nice but i can't download it from market. Can you attach the apk file here?
install market enabler and download it from the market on your phone. Works for me (and I also have a HTC HD2 with android)
Thank you!
Thank you for all your positive comments!
Now I will discuss comments witch needs explanation or further investigation. Forgive me not answering all your heart warming, positive comments directly.

We know that! ;-)
Probably there is a room for improvement using new market feature witch allows developers to distribute multiple apks (for example with different resources resolution) under one entry in market. I will investigate it in "near" future.
Oh, and as a last resort you have "Move to SD" option.

I can't tell anything for sure yet, but seems that you (community) like PowerBubble so combining more tools into one package will be probably our next step.

I will try to investigate it. Can you tell me what ROMs are you exactly using? Seems to be a problem with "market manifest" (file which defines what devices are compatible).
For now I've changed main post and added link to apk. You can also use market enabler as telenut pointed out.
Thank you all once again. I will keep you updated with changes.
Excellent!
Easy to use, excellent graphics. And the *option* to configure without the need to do so. Providing the choice of supporting by ads or not, is also outstanding.
Even though I don't really need it, I'd also like to see a second level (axis).
BTW, I don't agree to package apps like this with others. I kind of prefer the unix style - choose the right tool for a job and not a collection of tools

HTC Tattoo, CM7.1(RC); installed from market.
Looks good but the market says its not compatible with my nexus one phone for some reason.
Probably a bug with the new market app.

Hey people,
I want to introduce you a suite of Android apps I've created under the Simple Mobile Tools brand. As of writing this it contains 13 apps: App-launcher, Calculator, Calendar, Camera, Clock, Contacts, Draw, File-manager, Flashlight, Gallery, Music-Player, Notes, Thank You.
They are all open source, contain no internet access, no unexplainable permissions, no ads. That makes them perfect not only for the casual users, but also for the privacy concerned ones. They are available on f-droid too, sources are on Github. They contain customizable colors (including the app launcher color), dark theme is used by default.
I created them 2 years ago and by now they have roughly 6 million downloads together, so they are fine-tuned for the most part already, it isn't something fresh and rough that just came out of a school project. I'm actually working on them even more than full-time by now, so they can't just disappear or become abandoned. They are translated in up to 32 languages, translations are done by volunteers. The most popular app is the Gallery, the next ones are Calendar and Contacts.
Google keeps pushing developers to be more transparent with handling user data and they will also make their requirements more strict this year. App updates will have to target SDK 26 (Android Oreo) starting November 1 and while my apps are already doing that, it will cause a lot of troubles to other big players. Among many other things they will have to implement runtime permissions and not take every listed permission granted by installing the apps. That is one of the reasons why I think my apps have a tremendous potential.
Even though I have published app privacy policies as needed at Google Play, many people ask me what data do I collect. Well, since the apps are offline, I'm not collecting any data whatsoever. And since there are no ads, there are no marketing companies tracking you either.
The great benefit of using the apps isn't just the security, but also the consistent user experience, that I miss so much in Android. In my apps I'm reusing as much as I can. Not just actual functions, but also icons, actions, sometimes whole screens. Whenever possible, I'm using the Material icons provided by Google, so they should look familiar and you shouldn't be wondering what will happen once you press them.
Instead of typing out everything here, let me redirect you to my Medium article Why did I create Simple Mobile Tools.
I wrote an article about the first 2 years of my journey at Medium too, it is called 5 million downloads on 2nd anniversary. What now?
In case you want to read some user feedback, a Reddit article has been written too by a user (I'm not involved in that at all).
There are many new features/bugs/improvements/apps on the roadmap and while I already have around 20k installs a day, the best is yet to come!
Stay tuned,
Thanks!
( First ? )
Good to see you on XDA, indeed.
Thank you for keeping your software clean, with no analytics, no tracking, no data mining, and also for the enormous amount of work over the years. ( Been following on GitHub for a while. )

Hi, I was looking for a substitute for quickpic (best gallery ever unfortunately buy and let die by cheetah mobile). Simple gallery lately have improved a lot but have some big lackness to be good as quickpic.*
Here the problems that quickpic doesn't have:
1- can't rotate image using simply two finger. //*
2- when you move an image from internal storage to SD (and viceversa) it change the date of editing, if you use that to order it will be the first. Make it optional //*
3- when you edit and image it change the edit data and the image became the first if you use it to order. Make it optional*
4- slow loading time. //
I really, really hope this will can be my the sostituite to all people still use quickpic even if it's not updated in years
I also suggest to add the possibility of draw in the photo editing.*
Good luck with this beautiful app.*
Ye improving those is on the roadmap, stay tuned

Working on Simple Webbrowser?
not really, a browser wont be added anytime soon
Great work on the apps.
One small thing I've noticed, in the Gallery app, list view.. There is a minor misalignment in the thumbnails. Hopefully that's an easy fix?
Otherwise really nice, keep up the great work.
of course, there are Donation links mentioned everywhere. It is at https://simplemobiletools.github.io/donate/
Thanks
Beautiful Icons
Really love those icons. Pretty

Hey, some of those things have already been fixed, but you will have to get the Pro version at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplemobiletools.gallery.pro . Im working on rotating with gestures already, it just isnt that simple. Im getting there step by step, some initial implementation might be added in 6.5.0 released soon.
Will you be updating Simple Camera or it will turn into a pro app?

I dont really want to work on that app. There are so many things handled differently per manufacturer and per OS version that I just cannot make it work reliably. Now that there are devices coming with multiple cameras, Im actually always further from making it a compelling app.

Okay I understand.
It just a shame that there are not any other Camera apps which are simple like Simple Camera that I know of.

Great work man, love the philosophy and hard work behind your apps, been a long time user of simple gallery as I used to use quickpic (before cheeta mobile ruined it), and google photos sucks for quick offline use. Got simple gallery pro a little while back and I just got your thank you app too. Anyways, great work, glad to see you on xda, cheers!
thanks, enjoy
First I want to thank you for the apps. I've used most on and off over the past couple years. I currently use calendar and gallery only though.
My suggestion to you, from an end user, is to focus more on the style and layout of your apps. The clock, for example, doesn't resize to be large enough and forces info the user may not wasn't, e.g. PM...and contacts shoves things together, name and phone number, leaving lots of empty space yet cramped together info, calendar widget text size doesn't fit with event list though they're defined by the same setting. In other words, your use of negative space to create a more appealing look & feel to the app could use some work....please don't take this as a negative. Your work is much appreciated! Just constructive criticism.
ye sure, any feedback is appreciated. I will consider it, but for now I generally want to focus on the functionality. It looks not that bad Thanks
Could there be an option to show the actual size of an image in the Gallery application ? ( If there is, I haven't figured it out... )
It particularly affects small images, like pixel art or icons, that are blown up many times their size and distorted.
