I was wanting to know the opinions of you guys about z4Root and the possibility of being able to root the Inspire this way. If you look at the OP for z4Root it lists the Desire HD as a device that isn't capable of permanent root. As most of you know, the Inspire is essentially the Desire HD. I don't know if it would be worth rooting the phone every time I shut down the phone.

'rageagainstthecage' just eats up CPU cycles, but it does nothing.
Are there any downfalls from using the kit? Will I lose anything? I know sound didn't work but isn't that fixed now?

The Rom version is 3.20.502.52. There is no easy way but the only method is detailed here.
