Taking a few seconds to do a search within this forum will give you a plethora of choices for this (and most other) app requests.

I am tired to use the same music player I want something different in my nexus one froyo like the music player from samsung galaxy s somebody help me plz
I have tried to adb the odex and apk for the Music player from the galaxy S and it doesn't show up. This may be due to the fact Im on froyo or something related to the system framework. Either way I think it will have to ported in order for us nexus users to be able to use it
You can find the full dump here:

cheers
Any possiblity for a port in the near future?
You do know that the music players are basically the same, right? The only difference is a Cover Flow like view when tilted in landscape view, on the Samsung player. If your so tired of the stock player, there's plenty of alternatives on the market.

I'm very happy with the DoubleTwist player coupled with the desktop app
Ok Folks before you flame me, please allow me to elaborate:
yes, i DID search (but couldn't find anything specific).
yes, I DID try several things on my own (see below for details)
yes, the things I'm looking for in specific seem to not exist in one package.
Ok, with that disclaimer, the setup
AT&T Galaxy note running Black Star V2 with Apex Launcher 1.2.2 / Android ICS 4.04. (Please note that these issues ALSO APPLY TO THE STOCK Gingerbread software that came with the phone).
Ok folks in short, I am looking for a music player that can do ALL 3 of the following (every single music player I tried, and I tried tens literally does 1 or 2 out of the following list, but not all):
1.) Pin-lock friendly lock screen music controls (my email is an Exchange acount which enforces a pin lock) [Poweramp does this well]
2.) Persistent player controls even when no music is playing (this is VERY helpful to start playing music after a while) [Cloudskipper is the only player I know of that does this!]
3.) Full bluetooth track / ID3 streaming to the stereo. I don't think this issue has to do with the bluetooth stack because the stock player and/or Google Play music both work. However, their UI (and/or lock screens suck big time)!
Software I have tried:
MixZing
CloudSkipper
Stock Android music player
Google play Music player
Apollo
doubletwist
Winamp
Poweramp
Rocket Music Player
Zimly
Songbird
PlayerPro
n7player
MusicXmatch
NRG Player
Astro Player
(and more that I can't remember off the top of my head).
Can someone please help?
PS: Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum. I had no idea where to post it.
I'd settle for option 3 only. I don't like the stock player either, but it's the only one that sends the music info to my carkit.
I haven't tried as much as you, but I haven't found any yet that do this.
Im with you dude, It would be nice if I could see what songs are being played on my deck. But android doesnt seem to be able to send that data.
If the stock player fulfills all your needs, except for the lockscreen, why not try installing widgetlocker as your lockscreen and using a music widget of your choice?
hey guys i am new to android and just recently got a Samsung Galaxy S3 on contract and the main problem that i am facing right now is with the system music app, i have some music, audio lectures and ringtones, and the problem is that the android music detects(reads) all those three audios files in one app and i find it really annoying because i dont want them to be mixed. in iOS (iPhone) there are some apps that you can just drag your audio into that app and it will only play those files within that app. meaning it was easy for me to sync my music to iOS music player and put the lecture in another app. i could not find such an app or feature in android.
so are there any apps or trick to do that. any help would be appreciated
thanks
Like the title says:
I would like to find a way to have a video playing in the foreground (without audio) while music from another app (Slacker, whatever) plays in the background. Basically I have a bunch of really cool HD videos that I want to play on our TV while entertaining guests, but the music on the videos sucks, so I want to be able to play my own in the background. Obviously I could edit the source videos so the music is different but that's not what I'm going for. I've looked for ways to disable audio or lower volume in just the video player app while the music app plays in the background, but so far to no avail.
Thank you!
Hi
This is a very specific question.
I would advise MX Player apk and its associated applications or try VLC for Android Beta
The problem is that it has so many video applications and that would be a long search.
I would advise you to go to the Play Store and searching and then post your request here => General discussion > Questions and Answers
Perhaps someone can give more infos about one app
Good luck
Hello Guys,
As all of you know that OPO comes with pre-installed Video Player. Which I am not a huge fan off. I was using Samsung Galaxy S3 in 2013 mid. I love there video player because of the ability to make playback audio in video player at virtual 7.1 which gives a boost to the audio and if you have 5.1 or 7.1 audio muxed in your video source it just make so much of difference in the listening experience. So, that feature I am searching in multiple video players till now. Like MX Player, MX Player Pro, VLC and some others. But found this feature on none of the app. So, is der any way to port that video player app from Samsung S5 or S4 for OPO?.
And my second question is how to make Poweramp as my default music player. Because whenever I plugin my headphone it just pop's up the Play music. So, any help on this.?
Regards
It wouldn't be possible to make Samsung video player to work on our phones. It is possible, but it takes a lot of work since the video player depends on the TouchWiz framework which is closed source. So that means, you'd have to make a TouchWiz rom which wouldn't be worth making since you're back porting closed source and a lot of functionality would be broken. It could be fixed throughout time but android L would be out by then.
Try disabling play music if you don't use it. Go into poweramp settings audio headset and enable pause and resume at the very top of the options.
