I am tired to use the same music player I want something different in my nexus one froyo like the music player from samsung galaxy s somebody help me plz
I have tried to adb the odex and apk for the Music player from the galaxy S and it doesn't show up. This may be due to the fact Im on froyo or something related to the system framework. Either way I think it will have to ported in order for us nexus users to be able to use it

cheers
Any possiblity for a port in the near future?
You do know that the music players are basically the same, right? The only difference is a Cover Flow like view when tilted in landscape view, on the Samsung player. If your so tired of the stock player, there's plenty of alternatives on the market.

I'm very happy with the DoubleTwist player coupled with the desktop app

Anyone who can port the music player from iPhone/iPod touch, will be the hero of all android users. I prefer android to iOS, but there's no way to beat the iOS music player.. an easy to use genius playlist Creator is most needed.
I know you can't port it, but at least take the stock music player and add a genius like feature.
P.s. please don't suggest mixzing.

Wow , I seriously didnt think of that ! Duh ... if i could get a proper player from market why will i post such a query over here
The stock player is a bit of a let down so I got PowerAmp (mainly for it's lock screen widget and awesome features which the Ace does not have by default but other Samsung phones do...) you can try it for free for 2 weeks which is a full featured trial.
ya i already tried that .... but dont u c .. have no issues with the stock music player ... it works good with fine equilizer ... the thing is ... it doesnt have an option where u can have multiple selection of song at one go (or sharing multiple songs). so want a player ... which can satisfy these needs ! ANY HELP ??!

Are there no music apps for Android that do visualizations? I've been looking forever and can't seem to find one.
I have my Galaxy Tab mounted in my car and right now I just use the VU Meter and Wave live wallpaper but then I need to swipe down to open the music player back up if I need to pause it.
I think due to the hardware, none were developed. Now that more phones are being released with Tegra chipsets, I think we will start seeing music players with visualizations.
My bet is keep an eye out on MixZing or PowerAmp.
Hello xda..
I have been on xda but on SE section..
I think there is no good music widget, on the device,
Any good music apps for this device?
PowerAmp, hands down!

I'm guessing you already have noticed the Google Music Widget (not that I would classify it as good)

Only problem with Poweramp is that it isn't free, $5, and while it is probably the best available for Honeycomb I still don't like it. For an expensive app its still missing a lot imo. I love Pure Music Widget on my phone but it doesn't work on Honeycomb. it's the best music widget out there, works with stock music player just provides hundreds of skins and has all the stock sizes with imbedded album art. Been a while since I checked to see if the dev had upgraded it for HC as he had with his calendar widget.
I dont understand why samsung removed the stock honeycomb music player?
the samsung music player doesent have a widget.. + it kills the album art too )
Does anyone have the stock honeycomb music app?
thanks and cheers!
kzoodroid iam gona try pure music widget for the time.. thanks!
Going to look around for the HC Stock music apk
the floating music player is quite good. simple to use, easy to access, no need to exit an app to use.

I don't think there is a stock honeycomb music player. I believe Google Play Music (Google Music) is the closest thing and its in the market. It only has the one 4x1 widget just like Samsungs stock music player and Pure Music Widget doesn't work with it only the stock player.
PlayerPro!
n7player
I use n7player, and it's fantastic. Best looking music player I have seen, and comes with a few widgets to apply to a homescreen.

Hello Guys,
As all of you know that OPO comes with pre-installed Video Player. Which I am not a huge fan off. I was using Samsung Galaxy S3 in 2013 mid. I love there video player because of the ability to make playback audio in video player at virtual 7.1 which gives a boost to the audio and if you have 5.1 or 7.1 audio muxed in your video source it just make so much of difference in the listening experience. So, that feature I am searching in multiple video players till now. Like MX Player, MX Player Pro, VLC and some others. But found this feature on none of the app. So, is der any way to port that video player app from Samsung S5 or S4 for OPO?.
And my second question is how to make Poweramp as my default music player. Because whenever I plugin my headphone it just pop's up the Play music. So, any help on this.?
Regards
It wouldn't be possible to make Samsung video player to work on our phones. It is possible, but it takes a lot of work since the video player depends on the TouchWiz framework which is closed source. So that means, you'd have to make a TouchWiz rom which wouldn't be worth making since you're back porting closed source and a lot of functionality would be broken. It could be fixed throughout time but android L would be out by then.
Try disabling play music if you don't use it. Go into poweramp settings audio headset and enable pause and resume at the very top of the options.
