apparently 0 BMX'ers here, lol, either way, i created another simple BMX related app. Mobile Moto Control will record your moto number and gates for the race day. Moto's are the race you're in, gates are the lanes you start from in each race. It's just a way to record it, then you can quickly check your moto and gates in the pit before heading up to staging.
used app inventor to create it, so it's not a very complex app.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18137302/MobileMotoControl.apk
even if you don't race BMX (which i don't think there's anyone else here that does, lol), check it out. for sampling, motos can be any number from 1-300. gates can be any number from 1-10. you race the same moto (moto number) 3 times, each time from a different gate.
here's a video sample of this app and my gearcalc app

always funny to look back at the old skool bmx stuff.
Ill check out the vid when i get home. Raced in so cal, lake perris, coal canyon, been to a bunch of nationals and gold cups. I got some vhs-c i need an adaptor for.
WOW. Just the apk alone brings back memories of Greg Hill, Stu Thompson, Eric Roupe, Dave Mira, Pistol Pete, ect. Used to race in the 80's as well in Illinois. Had a Redline 500a. Also ran in the ABA circuit. To bad we didn't have smart phones back then, could have used this apk many times. Since then all the local tracks have closed up. It's a shame because it kept alot of kids occupied. Kudoos on the apk.

i'm actually changing it so you can track 5 people (since it's me and my 3 kids). so that would work for multi-class race days as well.
i forget who it was that remade helltrack, but i think it's in mass. i can't completely remember, i saw it a few years ago on the vintagebmx forums.

You guys see this? They call it Marble Worlds, but I remember playing it back in the day and it was Marble Madness. G-Sen activated. Downloading the demo as I type.
Playing demo: You have to turn the accelerometer on in settings. Also,t he resolution is not true VGA. I think they wrote it for the iPhone and just copied the images over. You'll know what I'm talking about when you start playing. it's not bad, it's just not as sharp as Resco Bubbles.
Brief write up here: http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=1419
Marble Worlds is not related to marble madness in any way.
...but thanks for informing us of the new version that supports accelerometer.
Its not free
freakin 15 bucks instead of 3 on iphone
It's not related to Marble Madness but it's a very close sibling (maybe different by name only). The demo is free if nothing else. I suspect they'll drop the price to something closer to the iPhone price, but I doubt it ever gets to $3.

It's in no way at all different by name only and please stop insisting on this since you just confuse people.
I remember the first version of Marble Worlds and is a completely different game, AFAIK the ball can even jump if needed. No relation to Marble Madness, just of course the idea. (which MM I also remember well from the time it was created plus play it some times in emulators)
BTW, the original Marble Madness *IS* available for PocketPC for quite a few years now... search the Internet.
EDIT: In fact let me help you:

Sorry- no idea you were so passionate about what was Marble Madness and what wasn't even though (as you said) it's the same idea behind these two games...but don't worry - I won't compare these two games with the same idea any longer...
OK.
It's like saying that Worms is the same as Lemmings.
I grew up with all those games...
I grew up wi ththem too...from my Tandy, Adam and Intellivision. I even bought the Intellivision tv plugin thing they released a few years ago so you just had a controller with 20 games...it's not the same as the original
My second foray into appmaking is a Zombie Survival Handbook, I think I did a rather good job but advice is always good to have. Is there any sort of thing you believe I should add into this type of app? I go into basic weaponry + defense situations and use the army survival guide to supplement survival info on the run. Also have a section on zombie myths and the modern zombie (its evolution over the last 100 years).
Any suggestions are welcome
omgggg I am a huge zombie fan. I got every romero dead movie, read all the current the walking dead comics, own various other zombie movies, read survival guide and wwz and currently the rising. I LOVE ZOMBIES!!! ok sorry for the stupid rant but back on topic. I would make a section on recommendations of movies and comics/books. Fast and slow zombies differences. Romero and Russo/O'Bannon zombies differences. Scenarios. Voodoo zombies. transportation.
Do it! Sounds like a fun app
I released 1.0 last night after about a month of working in it after work and on weekends.
I have a world/cultural historical overview but you're right, it would make sense to do a review for modern day movies, especially foreign ones.
Some of my favorites offhand:
The original REC (quarantine)- was amazing.
FIDO was very well done.
Dance of the dead was low budget but fun to watch.
and I've heard good things about ' Dead Set' but haven't seen it yet- 6 episode 'what if' in which the big brother house is assaulted by zombies. (They're cut off from the world so don't realize z-day is here)
Thanks for the insight!
Very informative app! Now I know what to do when there is no more room in Hell!

yea I enjoyed rec more then quarantine, waiting for rec 2 to be english dubbed and my views on fido and dance of the dead are the same as yours. I heard of dead set and it seemed interesting but never got around to watching it. You should definitely read The Walking Dead comics if you haven't there's currently 74 issues and it took me like 3 days to read them but it was awesome man and they're making it into a tv show too soon. Finally another android & zombie fan cool man. Ima check the app out now. Got a twitter so i can follow?
Never actively update twitter outside of being at zombie cons
Should have a website up whenever my android partner-in-crime stops being lazy >_<
Thanks for the input =D
Some formatting issues will be fixed, and one person claimed broken links but I wasn't able to find any and checked it fairly thoroughly multiple times
Created a section for must see zombie films by request, top 19 fan favorites are on there.
Crap sorry I missed this I'm gonna go download it now! If you love zombies you should gotta watch high school of the dead its anime but it's good!
Not forgetting Shaun of the Dead! Best Rom Zom Com of all time lol
This is an app that needs to be out there because of principle ;-p

Say Hello to a new World.
There are few games on mobile that are insanely addictive. Parallel Kingdom AOT, is by far the most intriguing one I have come across. PK comes across as a MMORG, which uses the GPS on your phone to place you in your actual location in game.
The game starts you off as an explorer beginning his/her journey. As you continue your adventure, you level up, get upgraded weapons and armor, and slay monsters day in day out. You constantly play alongside other players, from throughout the world, teaming with them to form kingdoms, cities and alliances.
Parallel Kingdom uses Google Maps as the background, and makes use of GPS satellites to place you in your real life location. New updates including the satellite map feature lead to you actually getting the sense that you are enjoying a high seas adventure with your mates, or leading an expedition through the Sahara desert, or struggling through the Amazon forest, slaying any monsters that come you way.
The great thing about PK is that you continue in the same place you leave. So you don’t have to worry about getting back to where you log off. Perblue devs have managed to create an amazing game through almost a 3-year period.
PK is available on both Android and iOS.The game has reached the 1,000,000 player mark and is spreading fast. The game is a nice change from Angry Birds, and maybe a step away from it and possibly all other games. Don't blame me if you end up becoming a PK addict.
Try to use my referral code at the end of the tutorial.

Hello new world......you got WoW por la me?
Seriously try this, this is an epic game. Not the 3-d graphics etc you would normally want from a mobile RPG. However, this is really an exceptional game, and it runs very smoothly, plus its easy to adapt to and very hard to get away from it.
Thanks for the tip, gonna have to try this out now!

The game uses food as a currency. Food can be bought with real cash, dollars pounds etc. One of the payment methods which can be used is Zong. Zong uses messages to get u food, I am not sure about the entire procedure but thats the basics. If you wish to buy food you are directed to a message which if you send gets you the amount of food you want to buy.
This was brought up on the PK forums as well.

I am not one of the devs. However, people at XDA looking for intuitive, exciting, and enjoyable content, and PK, is that. So it was'nt a surprise that this ended up on the front page.
It was maybe lost on the XDA forums, because when I checked for other threads about PK, there were a couple from two years ago.
This is a brilliant game and it deserves to be highlighted on the front page regardless of the day it was launched.

DB - Its people like you that are making XDA what it is now, D-Bags like you....
As far as OP goes, I love this game been playing for a few months too......It's very addicting and constant changes and improvements to gameplay and strategy. The Devs are great at listening to the users and giving them what they want. One of the best parts about this game is it's multi-platform so you are playing with IPhone players as well so the vast amount of people playing is ridiculousness. I got the same name on the game as here so look me up.

Yeah I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of Bullet Asylum and Donpachi becaue they flood the screen with so much effects that it's overkill. As much as I love impressive graphics and effects, I can't even see my character(s) because they are being overshadowed by explosions and other effects.

That's kinda the function of those games though. What's nice about DODO is that you can control the ship from the negative space at the bottom of the screen. That way, you don't have your finger in the middle of things. I also tend to use the thumbsticks for Bullet Asylum so my view isn't obstructed.

Sorry, I was referring to the thumbstick control option within the game itself. You can choose between touch/drag or thumb controls.
My top 5 are:
1. Tentacles
2. The Harvest
3. Plants vs. Zombies
4. King of the Sea
5. Words By Post
Also, vNESLight is a very good NES emulator and that opens you up to lots of classics.
I think that depends on each one of you. For me the best games are Poker King Online, Bug Village, Full House Poker, Fragger ( a lot better than angry birds, which I own and like ), Breeze and sudoku like someone already mentioned, Minesweeper (which I never pass a level but still its fun xD) and chickens can't fly. If there is a cool multiplayer game feel free to post it's name
Best Regards

Link, you know the green fairy boy of legend? The Hero of Time, and the wielder of the Bane of Evil. If not Click Here. So I'm having this debate, it's been a debate I've had for the past 5 years or so. What happened to link after the Ocarina of Time? He beats Gannon, and Navi leaves him. Link then sets out on a quest to find his only true friend. [Warning this is my POV from lots of Googles] After link leaves Hyrule, he decides to find Navi in the only place that would make sense, the Lost Woods. Link not being a Kokiri, or having a fairy can't find his way in the woods. Legend has it that Kids, and Adults who venture into the woods turn into either Skull Kids. Or they turn into those Skeleton Knights. Now this is the most accepted tid bit of information. Here is my weird theory.
After going into the Lost Woods, link spends for ever aimlessly wondering the woods, looking for Navi. After being lost for what feels like years. He comes across the Skull Kid. The skull kid hits Link over the head, causing him to die (This is also symbolic of life setting in. He's a Skull Kid, but has no clue of it) . But link is sent into purgatory, having no clue he is dead. That's when he chases Skull Kid into the cave. Upon reaching the cave, he falls. Seeing images from his past, present, and future. This is kinda like his soul being decoded in order to make his purgatory. So he is later cursed, and changed into a Deku. Why? That's him being able to relive his life as a week, defenseless "Child". Since he was pretty much reborn, he's given the one thing he's spent his whole life looking for. A fairy, but it's not his tho. So the story progresses, and he meets the mask salesman. He's kinda like that guy in American Dad who gives you IceCream right before he says your dead. But it being link, he wants a flipping quest. So he has to venture and find Skull Kid in order to become human. In Order to find Navi. Navi can be seen as his "heaven" if you would. He needs to do one final quest get the peace he's wanted. So as he leaves the building, you see almost all the characters in the town are from Hyrule. It's the only thing he knows, the people of Hyrule. All the lives he's saved, he needs to save again to find eternal peace. So that's it, for the weird theory. Here's side info to make more sense of this.
The Goron is a representation of being a powerful leader, and his connection to Sarah.
The Zora is him as a teen, falling in love. His guitar is Navi/Quest that he choice over Zelda.
The game has a darker feeling in it. It's link being able to live real life, and not just battling evil. He helps to lovers get together, he dances. He makes deeper relationships with characters, and has a chance to live a normal life. Once he helps out all the people, and obtains the mask (makers proving he lived his life). He can battle the Skull Kid, and can also receive the Fierce Deity's Mask once you get all the mask. A part I find weird is that the kid wearing the Evil mask is giving you this tool. The ultimate mask that makes you a full blown adult, with god like powers. This can be seen as link doing everything possible live his life. Now he has the power to defeat the mask, and go to his "heaven".
Once Skull Kid is free, and you saved the world. Your off to venture for Navi. The one thing you've always wanted to do. The one thing that made you feel alive again. I feel like link is stuck in this purgatory trying yo find his only friend. Refusing the fact that he's finally dead, and free to go away.
Any Ideas?
Haha whoaa.. did not see it like that.. makes sense. Wish I had some input to contribute :sly:
