NOTE:this for the one after the slide version. 3D version is assumed for quad
got tab ideas from michael2041 &- http://www.concept-phones.com/sony-...-strikes-tab-10-dual-core-slate-162mp-camera/

Anyone want to add in/contribute?

Something better than what samsung uses for their gpu.

You included the size of the display, not resolution. I'd want qHD.

yeah i forgot lol
i'll add that

I like the idea of a xenon flash. I do not know why makers are not putting these into newer phones. My old zn5 had a xenon flash and it took WAY better pictures than my friends Droid, which was the new hotness at the time.

i have never used it, but i only hear positive things, and imagine that with the Flashlight app. I really hope HTC uses my specs for dual-core/quad-core or very similar

I think we need a myTouch Slate/Tab/Pad!
- 7" or 8.9" display
- 1gb ram
- 1.5GHz Dual core processor
- Android 2.4 or 3.1 with a myTouch UI
- 5mp back camera with XENON flash and 3mp front facing camera
- The first Android device with 42mbps HSPA+
- Quick boot
- 1GB or 2GB ram (whatever processor supports)
AND NOW, for the myTouch 3D
- Glasses-free 3D
- 21/42 mbps HSPA+
- 1.2GHz Dual core
- 1GB ram

Seeing how...
T-Mobile owns the myTouch brand.
T-mobile owns mySense, the stripped down HTC Sense.
The HTC Flyer exists
The HTC Flyer could become the myTouch Tab easily.

I know, when it was first rumored to come here that's what I posted. I said it will probably be rebranded.

New (Possible) Galaxy Nexus Specifications Leak

There's been yet another Galaxy Nexus specifications leak. I've written them all out on my blog to make it easier to read. But, the original leak comes from a guy on Google+. He's fairly active in the Android community (I'm told) so maybe he's trustworthy.
I think he guessed on a few things like: camera megapixels, processor clock, hardware/software acceleration. That's just my interpretation.
I lined up all of the specs he reported next to the ones from the ever-reputable Android Police.
My original piece: http://briefmobile.com/galaxy-nexus-might-be-even-cooler-than-you-think is quoted below.
Black = Jacob Epstein, Grey = Android Police
TI OMAP4 dual-core processor at 1.5 GHz
Texas Instruments OMAP 4460 processor
NFC
1 GB RAM
32 GB internal storage
No SD card slot
Possibly 1900 mAh battery
8-megapixel camera (maybe same as SGS2)
5-megapixel camera with 1080p 30 FPS recording
Bright LED notification light
LED notification light
Dual LED flash
4.6-inch screen
Large (possibly 4.65-inch)
Very light weight
Keyboard looks like a combination of Gingerbread and Honeycomb
720p screen (more vivid than iPhone retina display)
Touch sensitive bezel
Brings up on-screen buttons when touched
Google Chrome — “I’ll bet a lot of money it’s chrome”
Tabbed browsing
Faster pinch-to-zoom
Better animations and transitions
New LTE modem. 25/10 in speed test.
4G LTE
Extremely snappy UI
High quality plastic that feels “futuristic”
Very thin
Ultra battery efficient with Ice Cream Sandwich
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Individual notifications can be dismissed
No sliding door for USB port
Many app compatibility issues with Ice Cream Sandwich
Only takes “a few lines of code” to make an app compatible
Name “Galaxy Nexus” might not be final– might still be “Nexus Prime”
New “revolutionary” Google applications

Don't we all! I think these are reputable, though. I believe the Android Police specs, and these are mostly in line.
I think he guessed on the camera megapixels (thinking "oh it must be the same as SGS2") and on the processor clock speed. He thought that they were for sure, but I think they'll turn out to be wrong.
Justin Case says it's 1.2 GHz for sure. And, camera is most likely 5-megapixels as And Police said.
as long as it haves ICS ,two core cpu and the HD screen i don't care the rest...

Samsung officially confirm that the S3 will not be unveiled at MWC

Instead it will appear at a separate event that all they will say is to be held sometime in the first half of the year.

I'm a little disturbed by this enormous competition about having the most modern and high-tech cell-phone. galaxy s 2 was just presented last summer and the chivy never seems to end.
i mean, in fact, with a galaxy s 1 or an iphone3gs or 4, you're absolutely done in everyday life. what should we ask or want more?
definitly want more, i dont know why...
some people just feels great with the last cell-phone, sometimes without a look on cost vs the real benefits
i bought my S2 at the second day without take a look on price, but i wont do it again because cell phones are suffering high devaluation on short time. I prefer now wait a couple months before get another
(sorry my english)
hope it comes soon

I would think the most pressing thing to update from the S2 would be the screen's lowly resolution. Comparing it to something like a Galaxy Nexus or Note you can certainly notice the rather low DPI of the S2.
480x800 used to be called HD for the past 5+ years
just only this year when the Note and Galaxy Nexus made its debut they re-branded 1280x800 as the new HD or more like Super HD
so 480x800 is by no means "low" dpi / resolution, it has been the industry HD standard for the longest time

So what does that have to do with user experience which is what I was referring to?
If a couple of months takes samsung to finish their SoC with A15 cores and a latest power vr or Mali, then by all means go ahead.

Bring me that phone right now!!
I am picking up a S2 this weekend. I don't care of it is a few months old.
I would wait for an S3, but honestly I don't need half the stuff the S2 supports, lol!
Only reason I am upgrading is due to wanting a bigger screen, so I can please the wife in leaving the tablet at home more often, lol!

I agree with you here. If they throw in a lot of new stuff for the S3, not too sure if a normal batt capacity can withstand all the awesomeness.
To be fair, I hope samsung give us a big (good) surprise with the S3 and dont do something like apple did with the 4s. Tbh, I would still highly recommend the S2 since it has all the dev support out there now, and anyone interested in customizing it easily can whereas the S3 will probably take a good few months until devs get to grip with it.
Oh yeah

[Q] Sprint Galaxy Nexus vs Htc one X

Okay so here is my question when sprint releases its new 4G LTE should i get the Galaxy Nexus or the Sprint htc evo one (htc one x) i have heard a lot about both but i cant make a decesion.
also it has been rummored that the sprints version of the htc one x will be called the htc evo one and that sprint is trying to incorperate a kick stand (hell ya) and a bigger battery. the galaxy nexus as far as i know will be the same as the other lte galaxy nexus's but it will be sprints 4G LTE's flagship device and the htc evo one (htc one x) is suppose to be released sometime in june
Please provide your opinion and why thank you very much.
pictures of both devices
specs just as a refresher
HTC EVO ONE is rumored to feature a 4.7 inch 720p AMOLED screen with a dual-core 1.5GHz krait processor under the hood. The latter is the same CPU that the AT&T version of the HTC One X is rockin'. There will be a 2650 mAh non-removable battery powering the phone and 16GB of internal memory which can be bumped up using the microSD slot. An 8MP camera is on back with a 2MP front-facing shooter. Android 4.0 is installed out of the box along with Sense 4.0 and it is a Beats Audio device. The HTC EVO ONE will offer LTE connectivity.
The Samsung GALAXY Nexus is the first phone to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich - the version that is meant to put an end to fragmentation. The handset uses the concept of button-less front and thin bezel to fit a 4.65" HD Super AMOLED display in a phone the size of handsets with smaller screens. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor, and capable of shooting HD 1080p video.

Build your perfect phone

What would you like your phone to be like? So many of them, but what do you want?
Design of Galaxy Nexus, with a slightly larger screen
Tegra 3
16Mpx Camera with 1080p and a decent optical zoom
Super AMOLED Plus 1280x720
Nexus Android aka Pure Android
Support for Note's SPen, and SMemo app, all other cool Note apps, but just apps, no Android tweaking
:good:
I'd ask for the impossible.
Motorola and HTC design quality, with nice aluminum and kevlar back.
Snapdragon S4, 1.4 - 2 ghz quad core CPU

4.5-4.6 inch 1280x800 screen (I have small hands). Super LCD
14 mp camera with HTC's Imagesense chip, 4 mp front facing camera capable of HD video recording
