4/18-Added TransGreen
4/16
Some of you may already be familiar with these, but I figure that there are others who, like I tend to do, don't venture far outside of their device forum. I've had a few different versions over time, but the transparent versions have been the most popular. They've had several additions and revisions over the months that I've offered these and I still do make additions from time to time. In fact that's the reason I don't have 2 other highly requested versions available yet....I need to merge in my latest updates. So for now, these have all of my latest theming efforts.
These are zip's flashable in recovery that 'should' work with your recovery provided you have busybox installed. As always, I recommend you at least have a recent nanroid backup available, just in case there are any issuses.
One more thing.....this will replace Vending.apk in your /system/app directory. When the market updates OTA the updated market is loaded as /data/app/com.android.vending-1.apk. If you flash this and it doesn't appear to do anything, go to settings>applications>manage applications, then go to the "all" tab and scroll down to Market and hit uninstall updates. That should remove the entries in /data and fall back to what's in /system.
TransBlue_v2.1_Market-2.3.6.zip
TransRed_v2.1_Market-2.3.6.zip
TransGreen_v2.1-Market2.3.6.zip

Can u use for any Rom? And how do u apply
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
Great stuff! Thanks for doing this!
As for the guy who wants to know how to apply the .zip file. Just go into ROM Manager, and choose to Reboot into Recovery.
From there, scroll down to "install zip from sdcard" and press Power to select it. Then go down ONE to "choose zip from sdcard", and press Power to select it. Then find the zip file you want. For this, it will be either TransBlue_v2_1-Market2_3_6.zip or that same name except for the color Red in place of Blue.
Scroll down to "yes" and install it. Then choose to "go back", and "reboot system now".
Thats it.
Matt
P.S. -- I would advise that you create a backup of whatever ROM that you are putting this on before you start customizing stuff in that one. Then have the ROM with the new modifications as your ROM that you mod.
Sorrry about that mattmiller, I didn't do a very thorough job in op. I've added a little bit more now but mattbe213 is correct about the installation and also correct in that you should have a nandroid available. I don't necessarily recommend a nandroid before everything that one flashes, but for sure have one that's recent enough that if whatever you're flashing modding has an issue, you don't have to completely restore your phone.
Personally, I don't nandroid as much for most mod installs as it's much easier/quicker to have a backup of whatever file and just push it back if there's an issue. But for folks that are uncomfortable with adb, nandroids are a pretty user friendly, if time consuming, restore option.
Hey pendo i tell everyone about your markets. I love them. Good work.

Nice work, Pendo. Works perfectly on my Di11igaf ROM. Even replaces the appdrawer icon with a blue icon instead of Google Android Green. Thanks.
Any chance you'd be willing to make a new transparent black market?

Added TransGreen to the op.
As far as the transparent black, I know of someone who's been working on a transparent black, using my markets as a base to work from. I'll see how he's coming along.
Awesome! I was going to ask for green and there it is!

much appreciated, these versions of the market are just too sexy in comparison to stock
I'm sorry but this is way to awesome!!

@MisterSchnapps,

@XAviierG, @MisterSchnapps,
He showed me a first version of his transparent black, and I think it's pretty good. Since this is my thread , I'm gonna post a version of his that has a few quick changes I made.
TransBlack_Market2.3.6.zip
The original version of this is here in theimpaler747's thread. The couple of changes I made were to make the rest of the menu icons black/white, fixed the widget background transparency, and changed the word "Market" on the launcher icon to blue from green since he kept quite a bit of blue from my TransBlue. I also added "pressed" highlighting to match the rest of the icons for when you press the logo in the upper left hand corner.
I'd tell you to make sure and click his thanks button, but damn....he's got 6 times as many as me lol, so just hit mine again (j/k impaler if you read this)
Trying it

Here is my first attempt at a theme for the Droid X. ProDX Red is collaboration with ArmaK28. Many of the theme elements are created from scratch. Some were taken from other themes and colored to match. This theme is still in beta form and will continue to be enhanced. I wanted to get this out so you guys can let me know what you think. If you don't like red don't even bother installing lol
Some themed elements are Music Player, Gallery, Facebook, Gtalk, Market and more to come. Please leave feedback and constructive criticism.
Special thanks to 928Droid and Fabulous for some themed elements. WJDesigns for the skinned multi Touch keyboard and bad4u6669 for the red swype tracer. If I forgot anyone I'm sorry, we have been working on this thing for a while. Let me know if I have used your work and not credited you. Big credit to ArmaK28 for theming several apps and coloring tons of pngs.
To install you must be rooted and have Clockwork recovery installed. Boot into CW and choose Install zip from sdcard. Choose zip from sdcard then navigate to the location you downloaded and select it. Choose yes and let it finish. When done reboot and you are good to go. I have not tested this theme on anything other than Tranquility 2.8 and above. Let me know if you have any issues.
I am not responsible for any damage you may cause to your phone. Only attempt this if you are comfortable in modding your phone. Enjoy!

Hey man was a huge fan of this series on my bb. The only thing I see wrong" functionally" is the drop down notification has white text when your downloading etc...im not sure if that xml is in the service.jar or if its in res/color. Anyway can't wait to see a themed dialer maybe using the same glossy images as the menu buttons. Good beta man thanks.
This theme rocks. I was sad to see Verizon wireless back on my drop down as I just changed it. Ill fix it up later. Great theme!

Not Working at all. I installed ROM Manger, backed up, Select Installed ROM from SD, Then rebooted My Droid X but then it just goes to the Motorola M and then boots back into the Device. Bypassing Clockwork all together.

Do you have bootstrapper installed? You need to install from you sd card after booting into recovery with bootstrapper. I had no issues doing it that way. Also what are you running right now?

I made a quick M boot replacement with the PRO DX RED Logo. I love this theme but have found two small issues. I dont have service when I boot up every other time. The other is the black bar up top is a tad big and cuts into other things. Feel free to use the m boot below.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=96PF6DVT
How to
1) Place your LogoReplacer.zip file on your SDCARD - Delete the name so it just states logoreplacer.zip
2) Restart your phone into recovery - Bootstrap
3) Install zip, choose zip
4) Navigate to your file
5) Press the camera button
6) Restart phone

What do you mean by the black bar at the top? The notification bar? Its the same size as all the other notification bars in every other theme.
I have no clue myself. I was used to anothr black bar so maybe that's it. Any idea on the no service issue im having? It is only done on every other reboot. Then when I boot again its fixed. I did put together a nice boot logo for your theme so hope that makes up for my silly question. Thank you

Android Robot Can See You!
I updated all the files below with a zip that contains eyes at all times.
Ground Rules:
Must have root
You must get the file for your ROM. If you pick another you will go into a bootloop
If your ROM is not listed you may request it, It usually takes me a day or two to get a zip up. You can also use the Ninja Morph way described below
If you get an error about file verification problems turn the file verification off. the new verification method does not work with my zips.
If you are using a custom theme inside your ROM you need to download the one that works with your theme. I would be more than happy to build a ZIP for your theme, I just need you to link my to it.
For example: You may have cyanogen mod 6.1.2 with the Project Bliss theme. In this case you need the Project Bliss file NOT the CM 6.1.2
If you like, Please take the time to say thanks
If this breaks your phone its not my fault, Always do a backup before you flash anything
Special Thanks to wright3d who did work on the eyes.

Looks cool man, congrats on your first release!!
My suggestion, would be have a full Android outline that had a green color inside of the outline that went down with battery drop. Like a glass of water thats half full, you still see the top half of the glass, but you know only the bottom half has something in it. I think you should see the full Android outline at all times, just the interior color go away....hope that makes sense
Thats a great idea! I was having a hard time coming up with an idea, because the current one when almost dead, is just feet and very hard to see. I am off to work now but that will be my project for tonight.
I honesty don't expect any one to use this, I am just using this thread to show off my work and get input from XDA, like I did. That said, if you do want to use this more power to you!
If you set it up like that then I will put on my phone and check it out. If it does look good, then I know my fiance will love it and I'll be putting it on hers for sure.
that is pretty sweet and I agree with stanglifemike, with the full body outline I could see this would be pretty popular. Thanks for the work.
I updated with outlines!
Awesome man!! This looks really cool and is really different from anything else than others have done. Congrats on this, and I look forward to your future work as well!!
Great job man! I like the outlined version much better. I had a suggestion for you. With your new version when the batt is full, the droid has eyes. When the battery drains below the droids head, the eyes disappear. It would be cool if you could change the eye color from black to green once the battery drains far enough and then coincide the color with the battery level from there on out (yellow to red, etc.). It might not even be noticeable, given the size of the icon, but just a thought. Either way, nice job!

I also need assistance using the ninjamorph app. Please reply asap.

I put a quick guide in.
Anyone try this on CM 6.1.1?
I will do this right now. Please give me a little time to flash CM 6.1.1
Edit: This should work on CM 6.1.1 using the same directions. It did for me. Please just in case you run into a problem, do a full backup!
I just followed your guide to the T and at the point when I am to replace the file with yours, ninjamorph does not show that I even have your icon file. I downloaded it again just to be sure...I got the same result. What am I not doing? And do you think your design can be used along with the percentage reading .zip inside of my current battery icon?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I'm sorry. Did you make sure to unzip and place my icons folder on your SDcard? Then you must navigate to it in the file browser.
I am not sure about the % zip as I am unsure what your talking about.

Hey banksj17 whats up pimpin. Question have you ever been to UOT Kitchen?
I got stuck in a bootloop doing this =/. I did it on CM 6.1.1 and followed the instructions. However, I was also running a custom theme, would that have caused the issue perhaps?
I also did not zipalign after I was done.

This is my modified NexTheme that I had put together for GummyJar 2.1 (This theme will not work on Rubix.) By request I have ported it for compatibility with the 2.5 update. Again I would like to thank Manup for his timeless NexTheme and of course kejar for the great rom and all the countless devs and themers who contribute to our great community. This theme is basically the same as the one for 2.1 with more cleaned up framework and a couple changes which are a themed inverted gmail and themed inverted google voice. Here are some screenies....

Update
Here's a kind of cool little metamorph theme based off the Thunderbolt system dump the "Metal.apk" skin to be exact. This has only been tested and applied over Gummy 2.5 and my NexTheme Mod. I also included a dock for LP. I recommend applying the themes one at a time and applying framework-res last. Here's some screens...
Some instructions...
1. Download file
2. Place it in the AndroidThemes folder on your sd card.
3. Open metamorph and select unzip/extract new. If metamorph closes don't worry just restart the application and select existing theme.
4. Apply the apk's one at a time applying framework last and reboot.
Enjoy

This is an awesome ROM. Tried tranq, rummyrx, and this one is awesome. Is there any way to get the HD capabilities put back on the camera though? I used the "modes" on the video a lot and looks like it's the standard camera. I know it's blurless, which is good, but the full functionality of the camera would be the only thing I would have.

This rom has almost all AOSP apps which is the point of it. If you want a themeable blur rom look to ApeX or a deodexed stock rom. But for rom questions, bugs and request direct them to kejar's thread or the developer of the particular rom you are interested in or using. This thread is for the development of a theme for the GummyJar 2.5 rom let's try and stay on topic.

I'm certain I have seen some market apps that expand the options of the camera. Also google is your friend if there have been any enhancements or mods to aosp Camera.apk I am sure you can find them here.(before pushing or flashing be sure to back up your apk by renaming it to Camera.bak via a file explorer like root explorer.) One thing you will learn over time is that no rom is 100% perfect for 100% of the community. Some roms are geared toward speed ie gummyjar, rubix etc. Some are complete source builds ie CM and The Gem series for example. Some are hybrids...ApeX and I believe drod had a blur version of rubix for the .15 system files but I'm not certain if there's been continued development. You just got to flash a bunch and find what works best for you as a compromise between your wants and needs.

Sorry about the post having no screens and the download link is broke, my internet connection was acting stupid last night, i did not even think the post was made because my browser locked up and I got frustrated and quit working on it, screens will be up shortly and a new DL link.

Slight variations because this is the TB build. but its very close.
New download file is up. Hopefully a fully themed market to match will be ready later today.

New file for download, with Google Search and Market both fully themed, simply redownload the new zip by clicking on the link in the OP, and then reflash theme, no need to wipe.
This theme looks amazing. I hope you decide to make this for the ota gingerbread. Nice work!!
Thanks for the kind words. I cant promise many more updates... me and my wife just had a son on friday and things are kinda crazy. I will be trying to update the few apps that have updated since release( i believe pandora and twitter). I will get those done as soon as possible and put them up for download.
So when can we expect a ota GB release? great work by the way can't wait to see this for GB!

Not sure about GB release yet. The roms still seem to be getting updated a good bit, i usually wait for a more stable rom build before themeing. I also just had a baby born so that is eating up a lot of my themeing time. I plan on checking out the liberty GB rom this week(i havent even had a chance to flash GB and check it out yet!) Will keep this thread updated on GB progress. Thanks for the kind words and have a great day.
So i flashed GingerBread this week finally lol. It seems real smooth, so i think instead of trying to update this version of the theme i am going to look into porting it over to Liberty GB. Cant make any promises on a time frame since i am slammed with things to do right now, but i will be working on it.
Awesome I hope to see this theme on GB soon! Thanks for the update.......

Will not be updating the theme anymore as i have moved on to Gingerbread. If any apps are updated and will work with both systems you can check my new theme thread here -

THIS THEME ONLY WORKS ON CLOCKWORK MOD. IT DOES NOT WORK ON TWRP(use ezrecovery from play store to jump back and forth)
If you are unable to download the file on your phone, right click on the link and click open in new window
MAKE A NANDROID FIRST, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!

Enjoy!!
The first pic contains notification bar icons. The second are screen shots and the third is the Camera theming. Enjoy!!
Synergy rom puts the gmail app in the data/app folder so you have to move the gmail app to the system/app to make sure it gets proper theming...
Here are the instructions to get the theme working....I used root explorer to do the following:
1. Download the theme
2. Using root explorer go to the data/app folder and long press on the gmail app.
3. After long pressing choose the move option.
4. Then paste the gmail app to the system/app folder
5. Long press on the gmail app again now change permissiong to rw-r-r
6. Reboot phone to recovery 6.010
7. Flash theme
8. Clear cache and davlik
9. Reboot Phone
10. Enjoy the hotness
im glad to see this over here, but please keep it to one thread. the rezound theme section was out of control.

Keep in mind John had to keep multiple threads because joelz, newt,Nils and lllboredlll all used different bases for their sense 4 roms. To be honest John did an awesome job maintaining the theme for so many different rom bases. Please do your research before making such statements.
my arsenal of basic icons
the initial post had the battery, data and signal bars all as red due to a request. I usually do green battery, red data and blue signal which is where it will probably end up but here is a taste of my arsenal I could use...
Anybody flash this yet? I tried using cwm 6.010...never got past the Samsung screen.
What recovery do you recommend john?

Thanks for all your great work. I now officially have no reasons to miss my rezound.
Edit. If you need another tester I will help anyway I can.

OK going go test now. I'm on 1.7 synergy. I haven't flashed any other themes or mods. I'm on twrp so I'm going to flash a cwm recovery and I'll report back my findings.

OK so I just flashed using clockwork mod touch 5.8 with no issues. Seems like it worked. I just found some of the theming aspects odd. I'm not sure it if was intentional or if it didn't flash properly on my phone
For instance I see you themed the play store icon in your pics that you posted but when I flashed the theme its not themed on my phone. I'm going to post a pic for your review.
I'd be willing to be a tester as well if needed. Thanks for giving us another theme to flash without even owning the phone!! Appreciate that!

The Op tells you that you have to move your gmail app from data/app to syatem/app before flashing the theme. I have been helping with this theme for weeks and the only issue was the gmail theming properly.
J this is amazing. Used your work on my tbolt and rez. This is freaking awesome. Can't wait to see what u do in the future.

dont be a ****. i know what he did and i know what what the devs did. i said i appreciate johns work and im glad to see him over here.
Hey john, when you say that this should work with "any version as long as it has the same base", are you talking about no sympathy's vragl1 base?
I would like to try scotts clean rom but it seems that all the themes are being made for synergy.
Loving that your on the s3 now. Thanks again.

You also put in a back handed comment saying don't let it get out of control...So if anyone is being a **** it was you with the post that offended the op.
He only brought this theme to our device because I begged him for weeks. John was totally content on staying on the Rezound forum. Again he had to make seperate threads for his theme so people could enjoy the hotness without messing up their phones. Just like the mods assigned to the galaxy s3 seperated the forum by carrier.
So again do you research sir.
Starting useless name calling isn't you homeboy.
Relax.
