Better Terminal Emulator Pro running native Linux apps? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

In the app description of Better Terminal Emulator Pro it said it could be used to run native Linux apps. Has anyone done this with their phone? Does it still require running Ubuntu or something chroot?

If you can write programs you should try SL4A, it can access web services to get the forecast and you can use TTS to read it for you. It also supports scheduling the run of the script. As I remember one of the python examples is a weather reading script, but you have to modify it a bit to have it working well

[Q] Is there any way to stop running services at startup?

I noticed every time I start my Transformer, in the running processes there is all this garbage:
PayPal
Asus Keyboard (I use SwiftKey)
Asus Sync
My Apps
MyNet
Splashtop Remote
Is there any way to make none of these startup on my device, but let them launch if they're actually needed instead?
Root it and uninstall apps you don't need

Some of the apps I do need (like Paypal), I just don't want a running process of it when my machine starts up.
Root it and use the app called Autostarts.
You can disable any app you don't want starting up automatically, but you want to keep installed in case you need it!

Also app called startup manager. Lets you specify apps to run at startup too.

download realvnc for the computer, it's the best vnc server. For good performance and free, get pocketcloud from the market as the viewer, for great performance buy realvnc viewer.

Automating commands on the Android OS

I'm looking for some software that would allow me to program virtual box to routinely download and uninstall apps within the emulator. Another possibility would be to do this with an actual android device, perhaps with the help of a RasPi or Arduino.
Anyway, this is all just an idea and I'd like to hear what you all have to say about it.
