Any ideas? When I open it says connection error. Speak again.
Edit: Odd but now it is working

This is the second time in the last 2 days that I've received this error message when using Maps. I'm running a MT3G with SuperD 1.11 ROM. I've never had this problem before until now so it's perplexing. Here's the scenario:
I open Maps and do a search for a business location. It finds it and then pops up an error that states:
"Google has disabled use of the maps API for this location. The client IO provided is not valid for this site."
You can close the message box to make it go away and things APPEAR to work fine. But, I'm not 100% sure.
Has anyone else come across this? Is it something to be concerned about (functionality-wise)? Any fixes?
Thanks!
Nobody else have this problem, I suppose?
Anybody having trouble with google voice?
Can't seem to get it to work.
/!\ We have a problem
Your phone number could not be verified.
Please try again.
Have googled and more people do seem to have this problem, can't find a solution though.
I can log into https://www.google.com/voice no problem.
Have the standard 10 cents (USD) there.
Can't do anything with the app it seems.

Try turning off your wifi and go and try to access voice using regular mobile data
Been using it forever. Works fine

Turning off the wifi doesn't help.
Been reading up and it just doesn't seem to work outside USA.
Well, too bad
So I just went to make a call and I get the error message: restricted access changed. Voice service is blocked.
I call 611 and while going through the prompts this pops up:
Connection problem. Invalid mmi code
What the hell?
Anyone know what this is?
Would call tech support from a different phone so they can troubleshoot and have u try stuff while they talk to you...I would try reboot...hold power button for bout 10-12 seconds...make sure fast boot is disabled in settings/power..

Ok did that. Phone is working now. Think it is a phone or network issue? Tech support said it may be an app trying to update that doesn't have permission. They guy went on to say that anytime there is a triangle up in the notification area that means it's a "Network" issue not a phone issue. If that is true I can breathe a sigh of relief lol. I found this page that helps also.

Hello Everyone,
Searched here, googled a bit and even spammed HTC's wall. No joy. What happened to the voice dialer? I installed ICS OTA update a few weeks ago and I noticed it was missing after getting into the car and being unable to dial a number using my bluetooth.
So what gives? Why did they get rid of the dialer and simultaneously make my bluetooth speaker useless?
Thanks.

go to market and download it or tts
It's not available for download.
So any other thoughts?
I guess no one uses voice dialing in their car?
Here is a quick and dirty flash package I put together on my phone for you. It will say it's installing EQS for my rom, but it will install voice dialer pulled from CM9. Voice search will perform dial functions as well...
This is unsigned so you may have to disable signature verification in recovery...
Thanks man. Ill give it a shot tonight.
I wonder why they canned it.

It didnt work. Upon selecting the number to dial it would say "Unfortunately, Voice Dialer Has Stopped".
However, some googling lead me to this one. After me saying Call XXXXXX it shows me the name I asked for and whatever number, mobile or home, I can select it and it dials. However, it does not say "Speak Now". So I installed Android Speech Synthesis from the play store and upon opening that, it crashes.

More testing.
With my bluetooth speaker connected it will start voice dialer and ask for instructions. I say who I want to dial and it dials. Awesome. However, it does it only once. After ending the fist call and initiating another the phone will just sit with the dialer hanging on "starting up". I need to reboot the phone to make another call using the dialer.
Why is this so god damn difficult.
Any luck yet?

Have you come up with a fix yet?
I downloaded the voice dialer APK, but all I get is "Unfortunately, Voice Dialer has stopped. OK."
Well, it is not OK.
I have been on Sky ICS ROM for quite a while now, and it has the Google Now and voice search for ICS in it and it has worked up until a few weeks ago. When I voice search for anything, my browser will open and display an error saying "We're sorry, but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users we can't process your request right now." Strange thing is, it's not consistent. Sometimes it will work fine, then suddenly gives me that error. I have tried flashing back to stock then reflashing Sky ICS from scratch...same thing. Any ideas what could be wrong? Is it my phone, or is something going on on Google's end?
I've had this problem happen to me a few times, not exactly sure what causes it but only (statistically) happen when I update CM10 with the OTA updater. If I do it manually and include clearing the caches it usually fixes it self, then after that I just fix permissions after reboot.
But yeah I've had that notice popup while I was on data.
Just noticed new quirk with it. It doesn't error out when I'm on WiFi, only when I'm on the mobile network (AT&T). Very strange. I checked the APN settings and everything looks good. Can't think of anything else that could be wrong.
I am STILL trying to figure out why I keep getting this message. I've tried full wipes, flashing back to stock, flashed both bases of Sky ICS, and I am still getting same error message more times than not. I have tried searching online and in these forums for any answers but can't find any. Seems to be either working for everyone else, or the problems they have had are different then mine. Am I really the only one? Does anyone have any ideas?

It's a jb feature and your on a hacked up ics version. It's bound to screw up. Use a real jb rom If you need it that badly.

I was attempting to find the cause of getting this same message from google search. Same symptoms, works great on wifi, sporadically throws this error on data connection. Just so you know, I'm on an HTC Vivid, Holics ICS with Google Now, AT&T.
I am at least more confident that I am not infected with malware....
Still can't argue against you, xcrazydx.
Just FYI, not limited to your device...or mine it would seem....
