Dude I already checked ....theres no ddkb2 firmware on sam firmWare

There is no ddkb2 stock rom as yet for indian users. You can try xxkb3 which is reported to be better.

But my phone is showing that it has ddkb2 plus cant I somehow backup my rom and then flash it?

I can provide you with flashable backup(ROM) of DDKB2 but you will have to try it AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I did a full factory reset and everything is fine now...though what are the risks involved in flashing the rom you have?....i mean why is there a danger in flashing it?

I dumped it from my phone and have not got a chance to test it. Although it should be 100% fine ROM
Will upload once I test it on my own phone. Right now busy with some other important things

Flashing danger is
One a refusal to read the FAQS or how to for the rom .
Two use of wrong tools or wrong rom .
Three a fault on PC during a flash .
But most flashes that go bad on SGS can be recovered .

hi,
we are stuck trying to flash DDKB2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15457294&postcount=626
can u share your own phone's backup ROM? many thanks

the factory reset buttons (vol up+ home + power) is not showing anything on my sgsl, wat actually happens during this reset? is there any rule to press a button first?

Is your phone booting up? Is it completely stock? Did you not see the Q&A thread which has been stickied?
The vol up + menu + power button combo is to access the recovery menu.
If you can't access that, I'd personally recommend that u flash CF-ROOT, as that would give you better recovery options. For instructions on that go to the relevant thread by Skin1980 in this (i.e. Developer) section.
BTW, the "KMC" in your user id: are you from KMC Manipal?

How to get back to stock safely?

How to get back to stock safely? I have seen the thread in the general area for showing the zips but I do not know which one to download and what to do after downloading. I bought it from a T-Mobile Store USA. Does it matter what baseband? How do I know if I have old or new? Please help with as much information as possible so I can get back to stock safely, thank you.
download LG USB drivers and LGMDP, install them, if the phone is not detected boot into recovery, mounts, and mount usb, now your phone is detected, update to latest android version available, that will make your phone to run GB 2.3 stock, if LGMDP it says that you have latest version just do it anyway
you will loose root and recovery
useing KDZ for unexperienced people is dangerous, but if you do, do not pull out battery before everything is done(if it takes 1 hour you will have to wait), unless you want to hardbrick your phone

Try tutorial mentioned in sticky area:thumbup:
Baseband doesn't matter in this case,if you are flashing stock rom from pc.
And if you're worried as that much try to flash Open Optimus/Oxygen/Gingersnap rom/s from recovery.
they all are stable and give you stock experiencesurely.

Our device doesn't support/having stock recovery ,only customs recovery support .
Check in setting - about device section -baseband version .
If you saw there v10x so you‘re on old baseband & if v20x you are on New baseband.
If you are on v20x then simply follow previous link instructions

Directly booting to recovery

I have a rooted S-7500, with CWM recovery 5.0.2.8 installed. I (by mistake) allowed the 'software update' option to install a system update(or something) today by mistake (I know, you should never install system updates after rooting. My bad.) Since then, the phone directly goes to the cwm recovery mode on powering on, and i am unable to do anything else
I am not very well versed with the finer details of rooting bootloader recovery n all...so pls some details with steps...if possible .
Any help whatsoever...please I will be really grateful

Thanks!!! It totally worked!
Just a clarification...now that i have got the stock rom back on my phone...am i right in saying that I have lost root access, my phone is totally back to the 'original' state, and i have lost CWM as well? Please correct me if I am wrong.
And assuming that I am correct(above), I would like to re-root my device(need to use proxydroid to surf internet over the damned proxy server!). So..can I follow the standard method, ie, can I do it the same way I had done before, or do i need to do something different now?
And once again...THANK YOU for your help! I had ended up hard bricking my previous phone, and was really scared when this happend to my aceP. You saved me!
Easy way to ROOT your SGAP
Yes by the time you flash stock rom you loss root even any custom recovery you flashed before...
but now if you want to root your SGAP again don't follow that guide again which you done before just follow this :
Download ODIN from Downloading link below (inside ODIN software folder)
Download any one recovery which you like TWRAP / CWM v5.5 (inside Custom recovery folder)
Download Root_SGAP.zip from Root folder & place that zip inside in your sd card

FOR Custom_Recovery :

connect device to pc in download mod (vol down + power + home) & select that (recovery) .md5 file in pda section inside ODIN software
Click start & wait to reboot device

if you are going to stick on stock rom forever & only want to root device then stock recovery is ok for you...
but while dealing with custom roms, custom recoveries are smart choice.
it has lot of additional options than stock recovery.
so my opinion yes use custom recovery

Had to reinstall the ROM. I'm sure there's something I didn't understand or something I did wrong. I'd be thankful if anyone could point it out.

[Guide][Receive OTA after root][keep apps/data][GT-I9500][5.0.1]

a lot of users are having this problem and if you want to receive an OTA you have to flash the stock unrooted firmware that will cause lose of data.
this guide will show you how to receive OTA again without losing your stuff
This works on GT-I9500 ONLY! (Lollipop 5.0.1 Recovery)
This also should work on any other model, but you have to replace the recovery with your model!
Steps:
1- Go to SuperSU and scroll down to "Full unroot" then reboot.
2- Download This file to PC and extract it.
3- Go to download mode by pressing the power key + home key + volume down key at the same time, then press volume up.
4- Flash the file via Odin (AP) or (PDA)
go to check the system status, you will find it Official
you can now receive OTA.
Q&A:
What is OTA (Over The Air)? Its an update which you can receive over wifi or mobile data.
What do i get from OTA? Well, if you root your device you wont be able to receive an update again, unless from flashing firmware via Odin.
- Why im still on custom status? Because you modified your system.
- What kind of modifying? Installing busybox, editing or deleting or changing any app or file system.
and some times xposed.
- How do i restore the old app? You can restore them by flashing firmware or by restoring Nandroid backup.
- Then what is the use of your guide? Well my guide helps in first place the rooted not the modded onces.
and always do Nandroid of the original system apps+data
you are still having your apps, data, pics, vids, etc...
you can root again at anytime.
check my thread for rooting if you want
im not responsible for any bricks
thank you...

At some point the update maybe canceled, because the update checks for the apps before the installation, always do a backup of your phone then remove what you want, after you want to update just restore the system folder from the backup

First of all you shouldnt have made a factory reset.
Did you have a rootedsystem.img or system.img in the root of your internal sd card?
If you did all you had to do is dd flash that image and your phone would have returned to life. If you read the instructions to rooting you shouldve made a backup first!
If you flash ZV5 TOT you will hard brick your phone.

[RESOLVED] Can't go in Custom Recovery Mode

Hi, I'm sorry for the bad language because I'm not english and I'm sorry if I wrong section. I've tried to install a custom recovery on my Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo (GT-I9060). I've tried to install it by odin or by some apps, but I can't use the custom recovery mode! When I press the combination of Volum Up + Power + Home it goes in default recovery mode, so I can't install a file zip of a CyanogenMode. I've tried to go in custom recovery mode by some apps (ROM manager, TWRP manager..) but the app crashes. Any help, please?

Once you installed the recovery you have to enter it right away before booting for the first time or the stock recovery will overwrite it which is why your getting the stock recovery .

First of all see if a normal reboot fixes this.
If not.
In phone settings ->about phone
See if you have
1)baseband
2)imei
(Don't list them here just check if you have them)
Most probably this could be a problem with the ROM and can be fixed by flashing baseband.zip that you'll get from the same site you got the ROM.

I went in phone settings -> about phone and I see that I have Baseband, but I don't find Imei.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-cm-11-0-galaxy-grand-neo-i9060-t2893802
This is the link where I got the ROM, but I don't find Baseband.zip
Well try another ROM ,its the one way to fix this.
Another would be to flash your imei ,you can find it in your phones case ,the tool would be sn write tool if your phone has mediatek (don't know/not familiar with other chipset family)
Plus the ROM you gave the link for is buggy and not in development.so you should try another ROM or if there isn't one use stock.
Incoming calls wont work either defenatly not a ROM to use as a daily driver

Yes I saw that earlier but the dev said its already in the ROM and just posted that for developers. But give it a go ,this still won't fix your incoming call bug though.

No what I meant by the stock ROM was the official ROM released for your phone(as in the condition your phone was at the time you bought it)
As for ril ,it has relation to sim but I'm not sure whether
Your problem will be fixed.

If you want to use cm11 contact the ROM developer
Or use the official firmware.

The official firmware will overwrite it so you don't need to
But if you really wanna uninstall boot into twrp, choose wipe then wipe data, cache, system, and dalvik.
