siriusxm app

i dont know if anyone knows about sirius xm app being released so i am letting one know it works great on my nexus with dock so i am posting a linkhttp://www.siriusxm.com/app-download/android/siriusxm.apk
and if it comes up as a zip just rename it .apk for the file extension
Took me a little while to find it after install since the App name in the drawer was "Online", but other than that its been working great for me this morning over WiFi
they only give you a free 7 day trial, then you must subscribe.
Damnit, damnit .. no Howard.
Thanks. I had signed up to be notified of this but they didn't send anything.
Sucks we can't get Howard, but NFL Radio should tide me over.
This app Siriusly sucks balls. How are you going to release an app and block your flagship station? Total fail!!!!
Awesome, thanks!
Does this only work over wifi?
Works great with my already active Sirius account.

froyo, holmes.
I'm using Froyo and on 3g it connects to give station listings and let.gr log in, but when I attempt to listen to something complains that I need a data connection.
Worked on EVDO on my Girlfriend's new Samsung Moment I got her today, did not work on T-Mobile 3g on my Nexus one, however I didn't have the greatest reception. Worked great on Wifi though.
I'm on froyo, with cyans root, (needed busybox) and it worked fine over 3g with me.
Do you need to pay extra for the mobile service if you already have an active account with them or is that all you need?

ATT or Tmob?

Data symbol

Anyone else noticing the data symbol (h+) staying on even when connected to wifi?
Just curious... I'm running infused 1.4

I'm able to hide it again by putting it in airplane mode and then back, but it's not ideal
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
itll sometimes reconnect to data. not sure whats making it do that but its not actually transmitting. dunno.
Probably because it is still connected to the network, att needs to keep tabs on you. Plus your calls/text are never coming over wifi (going into airplane mode means you don't get those)
Mine will pop up here and there but I'm guessing it's just checking syncs in the background. I do use the att address book. My data symbol doesn't stay on though when on wifi.

Some things like Market request a data connection instead of wifi for certain things.

Indeed. however, i would expect the data to go back in hiding, where it belongs when its done...

Mine does go back to hiding. Not sure why yours isn't unless you have some odd app that's keeping it open.
Mine does this as well. While I'm on wifi the h+ will come on and sometimes go away, but sometimes it stays on the screen. It doesn't seem to affect anything so I don't worry about it.
Just curious, are you sending or receiving any MMS msgs when this is going on?

Question. Have any of you run stock UCKE3 for any length if time? Wonder if the issue shows up there too. Anyways, sounds like a simple cosmetic issue rather than something serious.
Yes me too. I have never seen that when I am in 1.3.2.

Wifi throttling?

Do you guys with a GSM Nexus S or maybe the CDMA version experience some sort of wifi throttling?
It's like my wifi gets throttled and apps like XDA, Twitter, Facebook and even the market timeout. Websites also load super slow!
I know it's not my wifi or internet because I get 40Mbps down and 20Mbps up so there's no way its my internet. So I don't know what's up! And its really frustrating me!
So you guys know what might be going on? Maybe I need a radio update? I did install the Trinity kernel but it doesn't seem to have helped except maybe in the battery department.
And I also just got this phone 2 days ago.

Update your radio?
HTC phones have radios that control... well the radios of the phone so I don't know if the Nexus is the same.

What are you talking about? control what?
WiFi is completely fine. I know some NS4G users are having problems with it but it looks like you're using the GSM variant of Nexus S.
The radio is like a driver that controls wifi, network, and Bluetooth radios....
I read about the data drops on the CDMA Nexus. And yes I have the GSM variant

I know what a radio is. What I'm telling you to do is to update your radio if it isn't the latest (or use another radio than what you're using currently).
Oh!
You had said update your radio with a question mark haha...
Okay, the latest radio?

It's true, except mine, (from wind) had a radio app (FM radio) that worked. For some reason only wind's phones seem to be able to do that.
Thanks

Ya tune in works great. I have the paid version which even lets u save the broadcasts. I use it every day and have never had a problem.

If I remember my reading correctly, the hardware doesn't have FM capabilities. There was a thread that went through the debug responses from the chip, and the functionality just isn't addressable by software.

everyone says it's "not connected", what if someone actually CONNECTED it?
What i mean is.. there's people out there who mod circuitry, and make thigns, like those arduino modules.
would it be possible for someone to soder/wire some connections to this radio chip so that it got power from the system, and worked?
for instance, the "wind" one seems to have SOMETHING working..
would it be possible for one to get it working themselves, and then have the system use it?
Am fm radio apk

Gps

Is there an app or anything that would get rid of that stupid standalone gps message you get when you turn on gps? I am rooted
