Stream video from your phone to your computer?

I'm looking for an app similar to g remote but instead of selecting files from your computer i want to select files that are on my phone and also stream youtube videos from my phone to my computer. Is there an app that can do such a thing ? If not can someone make it ? Thanks a lot guys

Why, the processor on your computer is far better than that of the phone.
Its got nothing to do with processor speed. My computers connection gets up to 20k/s and my phone gets 80.

the only say that I know of requires some work and would have to use a computer as a pass through device. AND the phone would have to be connect to said PC via the USB cable. Check out Android Screen-Cast if this option is ok. If someone else has a better solution, please chime in.

Putting movies on g2x

Hi I was wondering if any one could give me a break down on how to put movies on my g2x.
Like where to get hd movies.
How to convert if needed.
And where to store the movies on my phone.
Thanks any help is appreciated

Convert or download MP4's and transfer them to a external micro SD preferably. If you don't have a micro SD then just transfer them to the built in memory by hooking the supplied USB cable to your computer. A couple movies will fill up your built in memory pretty quick though.

No, I don't download any movies. I just convert my Bluerays and DVD's.
Use Handbrake to convert your DVDs to .mp4. I would just use the resolution default once the movie loads up, convert it and it should be good.

Usenet but based on the fact that you didn't know how to put things on your memory card I would say that's a bit out your league
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Actually since this device will play Divx out of the box with no addons Divx will be your best bet and is also better quality than MP4's.
actually there should be no discussion of downloading movies here. come on guys.
the correct answer was given.
but one has to mention its against rules to have that discussion.
so no im not trolling.
however if youve burned your own collection to CONVERT ive found format factory to be extraordinary.

I thought android phones can play almost any format depends on which player you uses.

Use 480p (854x480, 800x450, or 640x480) if you want to convert.
G2x accepts mp4 and wmv formats.

media share and there is a place in the settings to turn on the sharing.
Does DLNA do the same as HDMI Out? For example, if I wanted to mirror my phone on tv could I do that?

No it's not quite as good as HDMI mirroring dlna is limited to the way it outputs. Your better using hdmi mirroring. You can't not mirror it like HDMI dlna is more like streaming from one device to another
differnet things

with hdmi nmirroring you can mirror your games or streaming video to the tv. dlna is limited to files on your phone.
Ah, alright guys. Do you have any recommendations for HDMI cables? I need something around 3 feet long.

U have to connect ur phone and tv to the same network, with a wireless N router, I have a G router and it's too slow. Then when playing a video (not youtube, a video file from ur memory card) then click menu our long press the video, u'll see an option play with, and u'll see the name of ur tv and select it

are you sure about that? people in that thread saying their cables they got from mono fried their device. has anyone else tried it?
I bought 2 of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VZKNYY and haven't had any problems with them. Also the cables arrived 2 days after I ordered them.

[Q] ps3 remote

Any way to connect a ps3 remote and play GTA without buying any apps to do so ?
Try sixaxis, costs about $1,50. Use the free compatibility check app first. Not going to work without a controller ui/app

I was thinking something more like some commands in the terminal emulator. ?
I think there are also certain drivers needed here.
