Hi Al,
I have just got a new Onmia 7 16GB unbranded and I am trying to connect to my Parrot MiniKit Slim ver 1.31. My phone sees the device and I can enter the 4 digit code to make the pairing. However, thats where it ends. The headset will give the prompt that the pairing was successful and it shows as "connected" (sometimes) on the phone but nothing happens and there is no proper connection. Any ideas on what to do?
Did you try restarting the phone? Make sure the kit isnt connected to any other phone.
I did, I even reset the phone and also installed the latest firmware on the Parrot device. I called Samsung in England yesterday and they said to bring it to their service centre in Carphone Warehouse at Forrestside Belfast for software upgrade so I am not sure what this is about. I had checked the phone and after Nodo I am on JK1 and both bluetooth s/w and h/w is 0.0.1. I know also the MiniKit Slim is working becasue it connects to my computer and other phones fine. I had a 8GB Omnia and it worked with no problems and I have just gotten the 16GB version.
I am wondering if I should change to a different version of samifirmware, what do you think?
Quick update, a new firmware version was installed; different from JK1 but it made no difference. Phone now being sent back to Samsung UK for repair.
Dunno if your problem is solved yet, but this seems to be a problem that more peeps have.
Samsung should resolve this btw. But you can give them the info:"
If you replace the capacitor cca. 50 units, this should resolve the problem. (at least it did for a couple of bluetoothproblems we had)
Samsung Hungary provided that information
Just as it happens I have just got my phone back from a compant called Regenersis in England. They replaced the board. How I know that is the fact that they sent it back to me a week ago but it had only 8 meg memory (my phoen had 16). I sent it back to them and I had to wait a few days for them to get in new 16 GB boards. Got it yesterday and all is now well; bluetooth now fully functioning. So for those of you in UK get on to Samsung!!

Hi guys!
I had to send my phone away for repairs due to an unusual boot disorder. Phone has now come back and its all sorted except now my phone refuses to connect to Orange (it used to).
Tested the phone with a O2 chip and suprisingly enough it works, tried with a T Mobile chip, doesn't work. So my conclusion is that phone has been locked. They did mention on the letter stating repairs completed, that they installed the newest "O2" software to resolve any known issues.
I just wanted to find out if there was a way to unlock the phone?
Tried the Polaris Sim Unlocker...It stating phone is unlocked...why is it not working..grr!!
i've seen this being discussed a few times but with no resolve.I bought 4 oneplus one phones altogether. The first two were for me and my daughter bought a week apart.
These have worked flawlesly and both have been rooted both connect to the bluetooth in the car with no problems.
I then ordered one for the wife and the brother (family thing going here) they both arrived at the same time and both failed to pick up any signal...
I updated them through wifi then the phone aquired a signal with no problems. But here is the problem, both of that phones will not connect to the cars bluetooth..
everything on all the phones match up from the android version to the baseband so i can't get my head around why there is a problem.?
i hear that its a problem with cm ! but why are some working and others not?
are there any roms that are not cm11 based that i can flash and see if it is the software that's causing the fault or should i wait to see if there are any updates to fix this common problem?
It's the brother's phone thats the problem,he was a long time apple user and i convinced him to change to the opo now thats jumped up and kicked me in the butt...
if this is the wrong place to post this question i do appologise, not used to posting on forums.!
thank you
bluetooth problems
well here is an update if anybody is interested.I installed multirom and mahdi rom, bluetooth connects no problem now
I'm having the exact same issue. I had a Chinese OnePlus that connected easy-breezy to both my BMW and Acura cars. I got a new OnePlus just last week which has not been able to connect/pair at all with either car. The phone can not find any BT devices.
This is back breaking here in the anti-cell phone+driving Northeast.
When they do connect, as mine does, can it send/receive text msg's and emails via the car. Mine works for phone calls and music but no msg's. 2014 Toyota Corolla
same here, just got my OPO not quite a wek ago.
64gig-version, rooted, stock FW, latest OTA.
my BT headset connects just fine, just tried it in the car today, but the phone just does not find the alpine CD-headunit (connected fine with my GNEX or N4 before).
im actually thinking about trying ParanoidAndroid-ROM wich i liked very much on my N4.
any leads?
OK then, I just flashed paranoidAndroid .. Ta-Daa: connects to in-car BT Unit.
ParanoidAndroid by the way doesnt come with the OPO-Lockscreen, but the double-tap to wake up. just enough for me.
cheers!
Hi guys,
I've been a lurker on XDA for quite some time, and I just want to say, I absolutely love you guys. You're all very helpful and so knowledgeable. I can finally say I have an issue, I'm hoping is a software issue only, that I need help with.
Last week I was running Stock Rom Lollipop 5.0.1 on my Google Nexus 5 and now I cannot get a GSM signal AT ALL. No Calls, No SMS, and No Data. The same SIM card can work just fine on my unlocked Nokia Lumia 635. I am long past my RMA. What can I do to try getting the GSM to work and TURN ON MY GSM RADIO? I'm sure if the radio turns on, everything else should work as well.
Brief History: Phone has been dropped on cement before and got Screen replaced. My internal speaker got loose and I just got it readjusted by a nice technician near where I live. I've survived with this phone from Day 1 until now with some cosmetic wear-and-tear, but it was only from last week before I left work, AFTER I UNPLUGGED MY PHONE FROM THE WALL SOCKET that the GSM signal just dropped.... permanently. And what I mean by this is, the "radio" is off permanently (I cannot turn it on even with the option in *#*#INFO#*#* with SIM card inserted) even after reboot, airplane mode on/off, and APN setup (which can never be saved and hangs when selecting automatically 'detecting'). Note: The Phone can charge just fine and connect to the computer perfectly fine as well (in case you guys think it may be related to the microUSB port assembly). I have been taking out my SIM frequently, so I'm still not 100% sure if it is or is not my SIM Card Reader pins that have an issue.
I have fastbooted several factory images on this device many times from the Google factory images repository, mainly going back and forth between 4.4.4 and 5.0.1 which I believe are the best releases so far IMO. Even after installing the factory roms on this phone, (no root) I still get no signal no matter what I do. When I remove my sim card tray from the phone, I get "No SIM Card". When I put it back in, I get that message going away, which gives me the impression the SIM card reader is fine. My technician took a look at the entire phone hardware and said he didn't find ANYTHING strange. He tried using a known working back-cover with antennas to debug the issue but that didn't help. I don't remember what he said about the sim card reader, but I think that was also fine (will double check next week). When I got the phone back from the tech, he just told me that there are no "hardware" issues he knows of, and so this must be "software".
Any leads you can give me? I'm pretty tech savvy, and do understand things like partitions, fastboot, adb, etc, so any solution, even abstract, I'm willing to try. Google reps were pretty clueless on helping me out here, so I'm looking for some support, please!
I've also heard that this issue is not uncommon on Nexus 5. Is this true? How many users have been having this issue? I thought Nexus 5 should have been built great to last a long time... guess I was wrong.

Same situation on my Nexus 5 that started a few days ago. Thought it had something to do with the 5.1 Lollipop update and saw some users were having similar problems. Tried flashing different radios/basebands/roms/kernels to no avail. Currently running 5.0.1
Hoping it is not a hardware problem, going to take it to a local technician today. Also beyond warranty. Everything else works fine. Has always been in a hard case but dropped a couple of times with no prior issues. Any insight?
5.1 is the best software. If it's not hardware all I can suggest is a full factory reset. My SD card was not acessable and pple said try this and that command. No luck. Did a factory reset and got the SD back Oh and screen shots which had gone as well.

Hi, I bought a used Verizon Note Pro 12.2 SM-P905V and when I got it, noticed that the wifi is very flaky. Initially, it connected to my router fine but took 9 hours to load 120 apps when I signed in to Play using my normal Google account. So I did a factory reset, and then it wouldn't see my router at all. Restart router, factory reset device, no dice.
In the notification shade, wifi icon is always green as if it's on, but when I go into settings, the toggle is off. When I slide it to on, it turns gray and after a minute or so goes back to off. Multiple hard resets, still the same issue. Occasionally, it will "see" the routers, but this only lasts for a few seconds and then they are gone.
So I decided to flash the firmware. I did not complete another factory restore before I embarked on this, but had only just gone through the initial language screens and signed in on the tablet with a brand new Gmail account that had nothing on it. So I downloaded official 5.1.1 ROM from Sammobile, installed device drivers, installed Odin, (followed some great instructions found on XDA, thanks), got the tablet into download mode, connected to laptop and Odin on my laptop showed connection was live and it began to do it's thing. So I left it alone for 30 minutes and when I came back, Odin read "all done!" (or something similar) highlighted in green , and the tablet had restarted, so I assumed all is good.
However, I expected that the flash process would have wiped the setup I had begun on the tablet, but it did not. And the wifi issue still exists. Looks to me like nothing has changed. So two questions for you:
1) Does this mean that the flash did not happen correctly?
2) Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this wifi issue? (LTE works fine but I don't want to eat up all that expensive data.)
Thanks for any help!
Wifi circuit has many components on mainboard and I believe it's beyond abilities of most users even professionals as you cannot find components and schematic to fix them.
Your best source is looking for this tablet with a broken LCD like this one:

If you don't have the need to LTE connection, Note Pro wifi mainboard SM-P900 also fit but you need rear camera for SM-P900 as rear camera of LTE won't work in Wif mainboard.
Any LTE Note Pro 12.2 like P907T( Tmobile) P907A ( AT&T ) mainboard will fit to P905V as they are exactly the same mainboard, except firmware, bootloader and software loaded into it.
I swapped a SM-P907A mainboard to a SM-P905V tablet, it works as an AT&T tablet because the software is for AT&T.
I purchased a verizon note pro 12.2 SM-P905V refurbished from groupon last October. For the last few months the wifi on the tablet has been very flaky. I have a number of devices and only this one frequently drops connection. I never upgraded from kitkat I and was hoping that this issue was software related. Seeing that moransw is experiencing the same problem with this same model but is trying to get back to sock kitkat gives me concern that a software update will not resolve the problem. The other problem I've been having lately is that the device no longer recognizes the stock charger, and will now only charge painfully slow. I've tried a different charge cable from a samsung s6 to no avail. Is the SM-P905V a lemon?
You should use this one to test your charger and usb cable
http://m.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=u....Xusb+voltage+current&sqp=usb+voltage+current
If you're using correct cable and charger, current should be 1.7 A and voltage should be 5.3 V
Test with known working cable and charger, if nothing is different you should consider to buy new usb flex charging port, around $10.
These basic steps you should do first as nobody can give exactly an answer with many unknowns. It happens to many used tablets, not just this model.
These basic troubleshootings are easy done for simple problem of bad cable, charger or USB port
Try them first then post your results if you need more help for further steps

1) I am using stock kitkat rooted and I was experiencing the same issue
2) I found this thread regarding our tablet that seems to suggest a bug with wifi if you are using a Bluetooth device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-pro-12/help/wifi-disconnects-bluetooth-device-t2851406
I was streaming audio through bluetooth to my home surround system, I disabled the bluetooth radio and I haven't had an issue with wifi since. I now use chromcast to stream audio through my surround sound.
Hi all,
I'm shouting out just to see if anyone has experienced GPS symptoms like mine.
I installed the Nougat update (via LG UP I think). I then even hard reset once Nougat was installed.
Now when I use GPS in driving apps like Maps or Waze, it loses the gps lock and searches for location quite frequently.
I even downloaded the GPS Status app and did a cold start and refreshed my agps data etc...
I'm pretty sure I had no issues before the upgrade (but I also recently went on a long road trip whereas I don't normally drive which could have accentuated the dormant issue) so was just curious if this has happened to anyone else?
I'm familiar with some hardware G5 GPS issues so before I contact Verizon or LG I figured I would just see if anyone has had any post Nougat GPS issues.
Thanks,
T
I have the same issue. It is very annoying. Hopefully they sort this out.
Strange, could possibly be a coincidence and is the hardware failure finally setting in, but the timing sounds a bit suspicious..
Yes, I've got the same thing since the nougat update along with a host of other problems that I'll bring up in another thread. Ok, I'll touch on them here, but start a new thread rather than thread-Jack. Since the nougat update I have four noticeable problems, the NAV issue being one of them. Two other minor annoyances and one big one. When I plug in a fast charger, oem or not (I have several), I frequently get TWO notifications, one that says slow charge and one that may say charge, or fast charge. If I unplug and replug, everything is fine. I've also been getting ghost images when I change screens. Also, my multitude of Bluetooth headsets (mostly LG) have become unusable for phone calls. Fine for streaming audio, but unuseable for calls. All these problems started after the nougat update. I did a factory reset with no change. Verizon is going to send me a new phone. If it's not on nougat, I'm NOT going to update it! I was very happy with my phone until I got the update, now I'm just frustrated. When Google/LG/Verizon fix the bugs, then I'll update! Right now I'm just aggravated with the whole thing.
D Dave
my also having same problem ....
fyi, I ended up contacting Verizon and they eventually escalated me to tier 2 and the tier 2 guy said it was a rare known issue to have a hardware gps issue and he said to swap the unit. Since I wasn't under warranty with them I contacted LG and will send it in to them.
..same issue
@up
What does "swap the unit" means?

@MARCIN2M - It means they were willing to send me a new phone in exchange for the old phone.
Update... I got my phone back from the LG repair center. It's the same phone I sent them (same serial number). On the very sparse notes that came in the box, it said they re-flashed the memory. I don't know exactly what was meant by that. GPS seems to work now.

Hi, were you able to find out what flashing your phone means?
Sorry tase25, I'm not sure. My gps is still working great even today.
