Any Gingerbread rom with good battery yet? - HTC Inspire 4G

Been waiting for a gingerbread rom without major battery drain for a while ... anything available yet that gives gingerbread and good battery life? I don't need to overclock.

A better question would be what gingerbread rom doesn't have good battery, and that would be the leaked rooted, all the other custom ones have been modified.

Omg you just mind-fuc#$ed me with that response. LOL. Explain that without the twists... which Gingerbread (if any) ROM for Inspire 4G has the best battery life? And how does it compare to stock rooted I'm running now?

They all have had good battery for me. Make sure you fully wipe, use a gingerbread radio and get rid of htc sense social crap and it will have great battery life.

I'll dig around for it. Any big issues with CoreDroid 5.1? I got the Gingerbread when it first came out and GPS didn't work, audio was bad bad bad, wifi was intermittent, has that all been resolved through maturation?

Also from my understanding cm7 has even better battery life since it is not running sense

That is up to you it is your phone. I have the gingerbread radio, for me it took about two days for the battery to stop randomly draining. The service for me is pretty good as well. Like any radio though try it out for a few days before flashing a new one.

The NexusBeam ROM is based on stock ICS 4.0.3. This is the same update that has been pulled by Google for issues regarding WiFi, CPU spikes and massive battery usage.
I wouldn't worry about your battery - it is most likely connected to the problems that people are experiencing with stock ICS 4.0.3.
Hope this helps.

Whoa, I would try the following things.
1. UV a little more
2. Change governor and maybe increase min clock speed
3. Disable deep idle
4. Change rom
If none of those work, lemme know.
I am not kidding with #4. That does help a lot
So yeah , try Pete's rom haha

[ROM]STOCK 4.67.651.3 (new ota update)[ROM]

here we go!! i pulled last night's OTA update for the evo, and here is the stock, 4.67.651.3 rom. all that it has is superuser, busybox, and run parts support.
JUST A NOTE: IF YOU ARE ROOTED, DO NOT UNROOT TO GET THIS OTA UPDATE FROM SPRINT. USE THE ROOTED STOCK ROMS YOU SEE HERE OR IN MISERY'S THREAD. YOU WILL LOSE THE ABILITY TO RE ROOT AS REVOLUTIONARY DOES NOT WORK YET WITH THE NEW HBOOT 2.18
Android version 2.35
Baseband 2.15.00.12.19
Build number 4.67.651.3
PRI 2.33_003
big thanks to misery in motion for also getting the ota cooked into stock, nice to see us all working together!
only changes are replacing 3 apk's that would not deodex with their last versions from the market. that is all.......... (maps, the vending apk, and voice search)
mediafire mirrors:
ODEX 4.67 http://www.mediafire.com/?ho1fhrv4my1exbx
DEODEX'ED http://www.mediafire.com/?yt5isd5jgg8cqgv
NON ROOTED http://www.mediafire.com/?fkrnjp5zy54r4oi
dev-host:
Odexed ss_stock_4.67.651.zip - 196.2 MB
Deodex'ed stock_deo_4.67.zip - 193.8 MB
NON ROOTED VERSION ss_stock_notrooted.zip - 195.2 MB
and a big big thank you to Captain_Throwback for extracting the ota file, this is the ota file only.
OTA file (zip) only OTA_Supersonic_4.67.651.3-4.54.651.1_releaseecho5vr6xg5c1hzy.zip - 35.2 MB
thanks man

The wording in this post infers that there was a radio change: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21612835&postcount=1
If not, I'm cool w/ that Can't wait to pull this puppy. As an aside, I have removed a lot of the bloat from the stock ROM. In the past, i've seen updates where you have to reinstall for the update to take. Is that the case here?
Would it be possible to make an update.zip that can be used instead of the entire ROM?
Thanks Brad! You are the man!
When you're done with deodexing yours, let me know if Maps.apk, Phonesky.apk, and VoiceSearch.apk deodex fine for you. Those three would not deodex for me.

However there are tiny bugs found that may affect the daily use (call recording), but battery stats and other issues can be ignore for now.

Are you on AT&T?
If you are I would not even attempt it. Otherwise it depends on which version of the Atrix2 that actually have. There are a few different ones, even just the MB865 had 3 versions and then there is the ME865.
Again if you are on AT&T and in the US, don't even think about it.
Just wait, the official ICS will be out in a few weeks. It is not all that much different from GB, I have been running the official update on my XOOM for over a month now, and it really is the same ole android that we know and love, there are are few minor tweaks, and there is some more transparent bits, but otherwise it is really not as much of a change as I had hoped for.
I am in the us and on AT&T so ill just wait the few weeks and hope ICS is delivered

Team XTC is going to ruin my phone with all these roms to flash HAHA!
I will have to try this one as soon as I'm done with playing with the MIUI XTC rom.
Love the way that screenshot looks other than the battery not matching the reception and clock colors.
Flashing now. Assume I can flash dta2sd. Well will lol.
The boot animation is sick!
Does this have a2sd?

I flashed dta2sd without checking first but it worked fine for me.
Only thing weird is that some of the status bar icons sometimes, randomly it seems, revert back to stock ones and then after a bit go back to the ones you have on by default...weird.
hmm ill look into that thanks for feedbaq

Im out for the night... At least for a bit..
Beans will post Radio and RPM in post #3.
Is this Vzw leak? Full bloat?
I think I'm finally just going to have to root. Was waiting to see about official OTA but with a second leak already I don't think I can wait any longer. I would have ended up rooting anyway! BTW I still have two Rezounds in the family that are running your CR 4.5 and still working great.

Its possible OTA. Its stock and rooted and zip aligned. Just the basic stuff. Nothing else, so yes, full bloat edition :good:

Tonight... Later on... I need to break for a while. 3 Major devices and ROMS in less than a few days....
I put up 4 stock roots today alone (Counting these 2). Im not going to be able to afford the bandwidth overage on my cable connection so I have to wait till after midnight when they stop metering. Im sure some donations will come through and help with that. They always do :fingers-crossed:
