Check out zMooth app which replaces back, menu, home and power hardware keys with gestures.

You guys know the button that is between the 'phone' and the 'web' button, that opens up all the apps that your phone has?
i accidently deleted it, and now i can get to any of my apps i downloaded cuz the menu button is gone. how do i retrive this button?
i have launcherpro, so i just on the screen where the app drawer was and click change shortcut or something
I'm guessing you're using ADV, long press where you want the app start icon and it will be under launcher options.

That would be your app drawer. Follow the above suggestion.

Is there a way or an app on the market that lets me assign a shortcut to my soft keys? Like when I long press a the home key it would bring up a certain app.
I remembered a Laucher will let you set up the short cut for these keys. I am using ADW doesn't have that option. I will look around on market and let you know.
Edit: try Laucher Pro.
Hey guys,
Im running action launcher on my phone. Its pretty cool and i like the appearance of the app drawer as well as the ingenious covers. Anyways I am having one issue. The button to open the app drawer is too far for me to press. I want to have an app drawer icon like in standard android. How can i add an icon to open the app drawer.
I got rid of the buttons at the bottom of my nexus 4 for the extra screen space so i cant just use the home button.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Alex
What is the best alternative to the on-screen buttons out there today? Pie Control sounds okay but not as quick and intuitive as I'd like. Is there anything else that's similar to what the Palm Pre used to do? Example...swipe up from bottom to go home, swipe up and down or up and right for recent apps, and some type of swipe left or up and left to activate Back.
I use Nova Prime and it has gesture features built it. You can install the free version to check out what options are in there.
How about something outside of a specific launcher? Standalone would be preferred so it could work with anything. Is there anything that offers bottom swipes for home/recents and a side swipe for Back?
Swipe home button is the closest I have found
Check out lmt launcher. Its not a launcher in the traditional sense. Its system wide and has pie and gesture control.

This disabled the hardware buttons on the N4: add `qemu.hw.mainkeys=1` in system/build.prop/. Guess it will also work on the N5. Use LMT Launcher http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150 or Pie Control on Google Play for navigation, link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jun.ace.piecontrol.
Thanks, LMT Launcher with its invisible swipe areas looks to be exactly what I was looking for, I'd rather activate this stuff with an edge swipe instead of using the PIE controls. Gestures might work as well on a larger screen. Can anyone speak to how well the invisible swipe areas work, and if this app works on 10" tablets like the Nexus 10?
Reading around it seems like LMT might not work on Nexus 10. Any options that do? Primarily interested in swiping up from the bottom of the screen to trigger home/recents similar to Palm Pre, as opposed to PIE controls.
Did a search, no luck. Just got phone yesterday, love it for the price. There's no auto screen rotate shortcut on the pull down menu. What's most battery efficient, easy to use app to get a shortcut?
Thx

I don't remember if you can add buttons in the stock ROM (i'm in CM11), but in my ICS days i used "Powerwidgets" as my command center in the homescreen. They have a paid and a free (lite) app in the store and the only difference is that in the lite version every some uses an notification appears that you can discard as easily as it shows ups.

Root, Xposed Framework + GravityBox. Install Desktop VisualizeR.
Long press on homescreen: Choose Desktop VisualizeR widget, set no icon and launch action as - Others > GravityBox Actions > Toggle auto rotation.
Through this method, I have the hidden icon in top left corner of my homescreen for enabling / disabling auto rotation.
