Ultimate 9502 always trying to send non-existent MMS

Hi, for a while now I've just been putting up with it, but recently as I've been sending and receiving pictures for nitro car parts and stuff and it's become such a pain in the ass as I have to soft reset to stop the phone from constantly connecting to telstra.mms and trying to send a non-existent MMS every 7 seconds. I know a hard reset would fix it but I really don't feel like setting up the phone all over again and if I backup it would backup whatever is causing the problem too most likely
EDIT: I forgot to mention that it happens whenever I do anything that has anything to do with MMS, like creating a new MMS to put pictures into, or pressing send via MMS after I take a picture.
Has anyone had this happen before?
Any help very much appreciated.
Aaron.

Deficient SMS app

This afternoon, just after sending an SMS to the wrong person (A "Kiss" to a business partner instead of the GF... great... But this is a known Android bug, I wont even complain about this...), when I went back to the main screen of conversations most of them had disappeared and the ones left were nearly empty
Granted I have quite a lot of SMS (A few thousands) but I dare to hope the issue doesnt come from there (My old Windnows Mobile TP2 could handle 20,000 without any issue)
I hesitate between calling it a shame, or ridiculous or whatever you want to call it... But definitely unprofessional, not serious and a definitive let down for the device
It happens I am backing up my SMS with My:IQ from BestBuy and it's presently rebuilding the whole SMS history (Hopefully without losses... I don't know yet)
Am I the only one who had this issue. Is it a well known problem? If yes anything to do to avoid this to happen again ? I start to be quite worried about the safety of my data...

If you want peace of mind you can install SMS Backup & Restore which can backup your messages in the background on a schedule, and then purge your old SMS messages now and then. I find it extremely unlikely that you need to keep thousands of SMS messages on the phone at all times. Archiving them off will speed up the application and reduce the likelihood of you losing them.
Software isn't perfect, don't keep a single copy of something that you NEED to retain without backing it up somewhere. Personally I don't care if all of my SMS's get erased now & then for 2 reasons, I back them up, and if there's anything important, I make a note of it elsewhere.
This is the first I've heard of the problem so if it's a bug with all versions of the firmware, then it's not one I've heard of. Have you checked for an update for your device?
I am using the JME ROM
Yes it could be a bug of my firmware. However havent had any issue for weeks and this suddenly happened
I bckup everything live with My;IQ
I though t about using a second backup and your suggestion is more than welcome. My worry with My:IQ is the potential doubling of SMS (in theory it doesn't happen but... in the past I saw strange things with other softwares...) and other potential issues caused by the defects on my device side (half crashed datadase or whatever)
I agree with you on backuping... Al my data are usually saved on a RAID6 system duplicated on another external HD. My emails are duplicated in several places, etc...
Anyway I ma curious to know if others experienced the same issue or if I was just unluky (ie it's unlikely this will happen often). To be honest what worries me is less the firmware than potential interactions issues between the SMS app and some other of my apps (my:IQ or other apps, I have no idea)

[Q] My Contact List Reset?!

Woke up today, went to my call history and noticed that it didn't list any names. Instead it had everyones phone number. When I clicked a number to dial, it showed their name. So I reset the phone, numbers still showed. I cleared the list, and dialed a new person. Everything back to normal.
Then, when trying to call someone later on today, I noticed something else. All the links that I had made (Live + Facebook contact) were unlinked.
Anyone have a clue why this happened, or has anyone else experienced it? I hate having to relink everyone again.
Glad to know I'm not the only one that had this happen
Went thru the same process of rebooting & pulled the battery
The call history just mysteriously lost all association to the names?
New calls are showing up ok
I'm guessing that some AT&T system reset is the culprit

+1 on this bit.
I've noticed that very occasionally those contacts whose name doesn't exactly match their Facebook accounts become unlinked and I have to re-link them. I have no idea why that happens and have never been able to attribute a cause.
Although not the same, I am having a problem with my contact pics on the People tile on the homescreen. It looks as though all the pics I added myself are showing up as blue squares , Facebook pics are showing up ok. When I go into my contact list all pics show up correctly.
This happened to me too once, I figured it was just a bug... That and the call history being delayed at times... Calls won't show up for a few minutes randomly... Had only happened about two or three times.
I had the same problem last night, too.
I guess that it is the problem came from Hotmail server. It was corrupt when syncing and then all my contacts were reset and sync again. It made Live contacts and linked-facebook contacts unlink...
Cmon MS, hotmail must be stable like rock or user will have this problem again
HAd same Problem
Just about a hour ago all my contacts unlinked and i als lost all my home screen contacts they just vannished from my home screen.
Did not encounter this issue but I do agree MS should improve the live mail service...
At least make contact editing as good as gmail...
i also encountered this waking up this morning.
Are any of you guys using Micro-SD cards? That could possibly be the cause of the problem
i am on a trophy, so yes, it's built into the phone with a micro SD. given the amount of people who all experienced this at about the same time, i would say it would be something to do with the server.

I have the phone over a month and not having this problem so far until yesterday... So I dont think it is the SD Card problem...
/I have a HD7
About 2 minutes after my first post I noticed that this exact problem had happened to me (my gf had called, and in the call history it simply listed her number and not her name). I remembered that last night while configuring my email settings, under my windows live account it said "not synced" or something like that. Naturally, I did a long press and hit "sync." When it synced, it must have for some reason set everything back to default. This was probably the cause of my problem; I agree it must be some sort of Hotmail/Windows Live sync issue.
Happened to me too, 4x already. My Samsung Focus Windows Live contact becomes unlinked with my previously linked facebook contacts everytime i will sync in hotmail tile. I am annoyed as I have to linked my facebook contact with windows live contacts everytime. Do you have any idea why is this so?
Could someone send this feedback to MS?... Cause my English is not good enough...
I'm on the Omnia 7, bought it especially not to have microSD problems. And seeing how it all happened in this past day, it's gotta be a Windows Live problem. Unless we all installed the same person
It's kinda freaky, Microsoft being in total control, they could just brick all our phones overnight while we sleep.
Throw my hat in the ring too...all contacts in calls list appear as phone number and all contacts/facebook links unlinked. Not too big of a deal but kinda weird.
Happened to me too over the weekend. HD7 with original SD card. Lost my contact tiles from my start screen, lost all links between contacts and facebook friends where the names weren't the same.
If this happens again I'm going to change all my contact names to match the facebook names so they match themselves up, because doing it manually is a pain.

I had exactly the same problem for the first time yesterday. Weird.
Add me to the list. Also emails I deleted on my Hotmail inbox are still showing up on the phone.

[Q] ICS update and e-mail

I have had no problems with this update except for 1...
I cannot permanently delet e-mail. It uploaded a bunch of old e-mails as "new" and everytime I delete them they come back. EVERY email I delete comes back after a few hours.
Is there a setting I don't know about? Is there something I can do to permanently get rid of e-mail messages?
Thanks!
Please be specific
Can you please specify which mail account you are facing this issue with and describe in great detail step wise, starting point 1 until the issue cropping up with some screenshots to understand the problem better.
If I were to talk like a typical company technical help associate it would sound like this "Do a factory reset" but lets see what you come up with to help you further.

Have you turned on the sync??
your issue sounds a lot like you delete the mails but the app doesn't sync it and hence they don't actually get deleted.so when you open it again after some time it connects to the server and your deleted mails come back again.

Contact deleted few minutes after adding

Hi,
I have the latest marshmallow (MOB30D)
Few minutes after adding a contact, the contact is automatically deleted.
I found a workaround for now, If immediately after adding the contact I force syncing the contact is saved.
I have a friend with Nexus 5X with the same problem.
What is the problem and what can be done?
Thanks is advance
It's something that happens sometimes. Seems like a synchronization problem, and I think it's likely to happen when you add the contact and go back too quick. So my workaround is, after adding the contact, I wait for the whatsapp account to appear below the contact number and then I'm good to go.

Its been happening to me for a couple of months, almost every time I add a contact it gets erased, even if I was talking with them for whatsapp earlier. It also happens when I change a contact details like the name, it just rolls back.
EDIT: I asked 3 different people with different phones and have the same problem
Is there a option to use a different provider instead of goggle contact sync?
