You should really do some searches before posting these types of questions.
Simply type "Must have apps" in the search bar at the top of any XDA page.

I am running WM6 and would like to know if there is a way to hide or remove the start menu title or window title so it doesn't show the "Start" text or title of programs on the task bar?
Much thanks for any help!
Check HERE.
Also using the xda search revealed a number of threads concerning same topic.
good day.

Thanks chopper! I just tried this and it works, but only hides the start menu text and not the title of running programs.
Cool.
Now search for your other conquest. You may have to word it in many different ways.
good day.
Just wondering, what search terms did you use to come across that file? This might help me on my voyage!
"remove start text on windows mobile task bar"
just didn't see anything on running program text. Maybe someone will roll along and say whether it is doable or not.
good day.

That's okay. I have not come across a solution either! Perhaps I should ask about how to hide the title of running programs in the "modifying and unlocking" section. At least the start text is gone now, thank you very much for your help chopper!
Tip: The search search bar all the way at the top of the site is a "sitewide" search.
I missed that detail for a while.
Have a liitle fun here.... see ya around.
good day.

Hey man,, welcome to the forum...
Look in the general section and do a forum search the answers are all there..
Sometimes the search can be a bit daunting with all the "possible" matches, so below is a post that covers and points you in the right direction.
Good Luck

I checked the link you have provided but that thread only states which apps are safe to remove..
i actually need to know HOW to remove them.. as you can tell i am very new to this and thanks for the welcome
Make sure you install ClockWork Mod Recovery using any of the guides here and make a backup before doing anything in case you remove the wrong stuff.
Install "Titanium Backup" from the market. I believe the free version will do what you need. Run it and all of your apps will show up in the "Backup/Restore" tab. Click an app and click Uninstall. Repeat for the apps you don't want. I believe this is a cleaner method than just deleting the .apk files using a file explorer but I'm not really sure.
Or just install EaglesBlood 1.0.2 for froyo, EaglesBlood 1.0.3 for gingerbread. Those have bloat removed and some optimizing done to speed some things up a bit.
Hope this helps. Any further questions should be posted in the General section. And Mods, can you set up a Q&A forum for the G2x? I don't mind helping people but sorting through the endless crybaby posts in General gets on my nerves.

Thank you i was able to remove them using titanium
please inform me more on eaglesblood 1.0.2 what is this exactly for and how do i install it?
EaglesBlood 1.0.2 is the stock froyo ROM with bloatware removed and optimized crap so it runs pretty snappy. First, install ClockWork Mod recovery using the One Click CWM post, copy the EaglesBlood zip file to your external SD card and flash using CWM recovery.
Me, I just use the stock build with all the bloat removed myself and flashed paulobrien's Pre-dexopt patch from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1051616. Very happy with this combo.
i just rooted my stock froyo..and went onto the market and downloaded ROOT UNINSTALLER...removed most if not all the shi**y bloat ware...

SPAM on my Android...
Okay, I need some help here. I started getting SPAM on my Android. What I get is a green star and sometimes a different green icon popping up in my top bar on the phone. When I pull that bar down, they are all ads like "Get Rich Fast" or "Sex" stuff or "Download XYZ Today".
I have looked and looked but I can not find any service or app running that will do this.
How can I stop this?

I'm afraid this kind of thread pops up so often that there should be a sticky made for it but on the off chance you didn't see any of the other threads when you searched the answer is....
Advertising. Specifically caused by one or more apps you have which push spam to your phone.
Go to play store, get free app called add on detector, use it to scan and then see what shows in its section for apps that do push notifications as the offending apps will be in there for you to see.
Once identified you can uninstall them

Hey guys,
I'm in need of help figuring out why the colors of the text in any drop down menus when using Google Chrome are so hard to read/see. I'm a long time user of Beans' ROM's, and have tried other ROM's in the past and enjoyed them but just love the effortless dependability of Beans ROM's. Anyways, it wasn't until updating to his most recent Build #22 that I had a change in color of the drop down menu's in my Mobile Google Chrome browser and have an extremely difficult time reading the selections. I've looked in every different customization menu he included in his new rom and can't find anything on how to change the colors. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, clearing the app data and whatnot, and can't figure out why it happened to change after flashing the newest update to his rom.
Attached is an example screenshot of what I mean. Whether it be on a mobile version of a website or the desktop version of a site, the drop down menu colors are all the same. Is there anything I'm missing or a setting I can change, or does it lie within a possible app update within chrome? Any help is appreciated!
No replies at all? I know it seems kind of out of place to post this question here, and not in the thread of the ROM i'm using, but I was told I couldn't post in any threads aside from the Q&A Help threads so I was forced to post it here. I've been a member for just under a year now with a few posts here and there but it wouldn't let me post in the actual BeansROM thread itself. Any help with the problem would be much appreciated, or how to go about letting me post my question in the ROM's thread would also be a big help too!

I don't know the answer but it's in the ROM thread if you look hard enough as I do read it from time to time, I just don't use the ROM though, so I don't know right off which text color you have to change.
