Navigator + greek keyboard - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought a Mozart wp7, unlocked with chevron.
Question:
- is there any navigator program in order to use the GPS (in Greek) because it is difficult to search places with Latin characters. ???
- is there any Greek keyboard to integrate???

no handwriting

was just going around though the apps of my polaris and i found out i got no handwriting recognition on the keyboard settings :S
the "keyboards" available to me are the touch keyboard and the normal keyboard but no handwriting option available, do i have to Download it or something? if so, where can i find it?
best regards to all
Microsoft thinks that some languages aren't supported and thus they remove that feature.
I used this for my Swedish phone:
http://www.smartmobile.se/files/Qtek 9100/enableRecognizersSVE.CAB
Not sure if it works for any language, but I guess it should. Just remember to turn on accented characters, so you get the non-English letters as well
do a search on transcriber cab file
ok, i got the enable recognizers thingy, i can select it but nothing happens, i'm kinda new to this pda thing, but wasn't handwriting recongniton a "major" feature of pda's? i'm trying to use it on portuguese atm...

BenQ E72 Additional Languages

Hello,
Apologies beforehand if this is not in the correct place.
Being a new owner of the BenQ E72, I am trying to adapt the phone to my native language (Greek). The phone features Windows Mobile 6 Standard and supports the Greek language in terms of regional settings; however, it's not possible to type in Greek either via the numeric pad or T9 (absent).
After browsing these forums (and a lot Google-ing), I've collected some T9 Greek components in order to try to add the Greek language to it. Careful examination of the registry does not provide any clues about the existance of xT9, so I assume that the phone features the "standard" T9 (the 'old' one).
The problem is that even if the Greek T9 is recognized, it does not work on all applications, particularly the Messaging application (SMS). When the Greek T9 IME is selected, I cannot enter any words and the phone just beeps. The rest of the system correctly recognizes the Greek T9 IME and I can use it (e.g creating a new task, typing in Greek using T9 is possible).
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Many thanks in advance.
No ideas about this?

Adding/Replacing T9 System Files

Hello,
I am trying to install the Greek T9 support files on my BenQ E72 smartphone. Everything I tried from this forum (used search extensively) has failed because although the language is installed, it's impossible to type using Greek T9 in the Messaging application (e.g SMS).
The WM6 Standard BenQ E72 ROM comes with English, Russian, Spanish, Polski and Turkish T9 languages and the core T9 components versions are:
T9Ime.dll: T9 IME v01.04.00 - T9 v07.01.04 (Mar 19 2008)
T9ImePrefs: T9 IME v01.04.00 - T9 v07.01.04 (Jul 2 2007)
T9aw.dll: T9 IME v01.04.00 - T9 v07.01.04 (Jul 2 2007)
The English T9 module: T9 LDB v06.17.03.00 l0109.0F (Jul 3 2007)
Does anyone have a compatible Greek T9 LDB with this version? All tried methods fail to replace the ROM versions of the core files and this is probably the reason T9 does not work on all applications (particularly in SMS editor).
I am really disappointed not being able to fix this (simple) problem, but I can't find a compatible Greek T9 LDB.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Edit: I'm posting this in the Q&A area with a more generic approach since this could be applied to other ROMs as well.
Update
I suspect that I need the T9 files in HP iPAQ 540 ROM, since the device comes with WM6 Standard (from the factory).
The problem is that I do not know anyone here that has this device and trying to dump the ROM with TyphoonNbf Tools failed.
Any help?
I bought BenQ E72 yesterday and I have the same problem with greek!
I hope we can find a solution...

[Q] How to set Czech keyboard layout for BT keyboard on English WM 6.5?

Edit: I wanted to post this to Questions forum. I don't know how to move the post, can an admin do it please?
Hi,
I have Omnia II with English WM 6.5 and some default ROM (I guess details are not important). I bought bluetooth keyboard Freedom Pro and want to use it with my phone. But the keyboard layout is English. Is there ANY way how to change it to Czech QWERTY layout? I have regional settings set to Czech, and Samsung Keypas also set to Czech (and it works without problems) so I think somewhere deeply hidden is Czech keyboard layout. But I didn't find any way to force the phone to use it.
When I connect the keyboard to my computer, I can switch english and czech layout simply by SHIFT+ALT. It doesn't work when connected to the phone.
In my registry in HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Keyboard Layout/Active=00000409.
In HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Layouts/ are 2 directories - 00000409 and e0010409. In HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Layouts/00000409/ are a few keys (I hope it is the right word for value) - "Layout File"=S3c6400_keypad_US.dll; "PS2_AP"=S3c6400_keypad_US.dll; "Layout Text"=US and BuildInKeypad=S3c6400_keypad_US.dll;
I thought the "S3c6400_keypad_US.dll" file may contain settings of keyboard layout. So I found similar structure on my comp and found "kbdcz.dll" there. I copied it to my windows/ directory and changed all the three paths above to this new file. After soft reset nearly all keys become crazy (even on SW keyboards - most of buttons produced MANY characters when pressed) but after a while I managed to set the registry back and soft reset the phone again. Then I decided it's better to ask for help rather than playing with registry.
So do you know a way how to solve this? Is there any czech version of S3c6400_keypad_US.dll that would work for me? Or it's not so simple?
Thank for answers

[Q] Adding XT9 missing in Mango

Hi, for whatever reason Microsoft decided not to add Czech XT9 dictionary to Mango. They had it in Beta 1, but removed for Beta 2 and decided not to add it to RTM. This left the Czech WP7 community with the dictionary itself (extracted from Mango Beta 1 ROM), but no way to add it into a phone running Mango.
Is there any way to insert the dictionary into the phone and make it work? We found a registry key named XT9 Input Method, but we don't know, if it's related. Did anyone experimented with XT9 on Windows Phone? THX
Czech dictionary
Same question here for all skilled WP7 registry/rom hackers - is it possible to 'activate' Czech dictionary on Mango final by changing some registry values or not?
Currently it's possible to activate Czech language in Mango by adding new registry value into hklm\MUI\Available... but what about the XT9?
Same problem here
This goes for all languages even Eng.... wtf?
LOL IDIOT! I forgot taht the menu in Mango is different. You have to enable the xt9 haha
so there is no XT9 dictionary function on Mango?
miss the autotype function on Blackberry
