Could someone do me a favour? - Galaxy Tab Themes and Apps

I am seriously considering buying a Galaxy Tab in the next couple of weeks (the prices have fallen fast, and I'm not sure I want to jump on honeycomb while the apps aren't yet mature, and while the tabs are still expensive).
But the performance of two (FREE!) apps is very important to me:
ESPN Cricinfo
ATP/WTA Tennis Live Scoring App
Would someone be so kind as to try them out and tell me how they function? They are free and I would be very grateful.
Thank you!

I just installed both apps and they seem to work ok.
Clicked around alittle, started a video, listened to a stream. Every thing looks ok.

try 4shared.. its pretty cool

[Q] [Game] Free Multiplayer - New Updates

Hey all,
Our game is Tile Takedown, and we recently made some updates that include a new UI and animations. We were wondering if anyone could try it out and let us know how it performs, along with what phone you are using.
We have tested with a Droid1 and an Evo. It runs perfectly fine on the Evo, but is slightly choppy on the Droid.
Matt
I have a Droid 1 Rooted with CM6.1.2 overclocked at 800Mhz.
I would love to test your app for you, send me a message if you would like.
works grand but...
is it words or what do you have to enter?some of the words and frazes or whatever are silly and make no sense!
Yeah we are planning to reduce the size of the dictionary by about 20% in our next update, since some of the words in the dictionary do seem like nonsense.
Thanks for your help!
Good to hear btw HTC HD2. Running cyanogen 6.1 on android 2.2.
Desire Z rooted stock 2.2 ROM. No issues whatsoever at 1.2ghz and 768mhz.
The only problem I had was that I got my ass handed to me on a plate when I played online against someone else!
I have a rooted Milestone 2
if u want so i can test your game too
Wow, just.. wow.
This game runs extremely smooth on my Droid 1, CM6.1.2 800Mhz.
I am extremely satisfied with the controls, you did a really good job with the interface of the game play, where I drag my finger is what letters I get, its great.
Keep up the great work! Fun game.

Cool game. Runs great on my HD2. ROM info in my sig.
We made some new changes, but are getting a few complaints from users. Does anyone find it harder to select the right tiles now?
I have a Xperia X8. I want to test your game, please send me!
Well unfortunately if you cant access the market our online system wont be able to identify you and keep your stats :/

Words with Friends - Scrabble

Hi,
Just wanted to let you all know about this app that I found..
It's basically Scrabble.. it's called "Words with Friends"..
You can play "locally" - with someone in the same room..
Or you can play over the air, by registering an account with your email address, and getting your friends to do the same, you can play against them, wherever they are, at your own pace..
it's mutli-platform too (I've been playing against my Sister - who has an iPhone 4, and my daughter - who has an iPod.. and my Wife - who has a HTC Legend)
It's really slick and works a treat.. only problem is that it's so damned addictive, that you end up with your screen on loads and that kills the battery!
I currently have the free edition, but think I might invest in the full version cos the ads are a bit irritating.
Try wordfeud, I personally found that to have a better UI (Its only for android afaik)
What exactly do u mean locally??
via BT or wifi....or online?
i think hes prob on about locally as in just passin the phone about to mates when its ther turn?
Love it and its multiplatform so more people

Music production

Hi all,
Anyone know of any decent music production apps? I've got Uloops but compared to Tabletop for the iPad its pretty dull.
Hope there is something a bit more feature packed avaiable on coming soon.
Cheers
I picked up SPC when it was free a few weeks ago on the Amazon Appstore. Check out the video on the market page, it's a lot of fun.
I don't know of anything in Android comparable to GarageBand on the iPad but if you do find something along those lines (or anything else of interest for that matter), be sure to post it back here!
Caustic is pretty good

Nice, cheers for both of them, will give them ago.
There's a decent app called Plasma Sound HD which is kind of like a synth pad. Worth looking at if you havent already, hopefully it will work in conjunction with some of these apps
Try Reactable.
I can't figure out how to use it but I only gave it a try for 2 minutes. It's $10 but should work similarly to this:

Cool to read this, gonna look in to them. Whas looking for it myself as well.

I'll give it a go to on my ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and maybe make a video on how it works for me.
i play with caustic a lot, it's a decent drum machine/sampler

Chordbot lets you play around with chord sequences and provides various musical styles to dress up the chord progressions. I found it helpful for musical compositions and trying out different melodies to go with the chords.
What I like in chordbot and similar apps is... there is only the name of the chord and no information what notes it contains. I never got to learning all the chords names I just use them by intuition (I'm self learned, you can hear my music on Jamendo - search for Tomasz Kucza - and in my games). On Android I tested only Caustic - it's quite fine for fun.
So, what was the ultimate verdict?
Pros and/or Cons....?
Some of these apps are a bit pricey, and I was curious to see how they worked out.
Also, what are you creating? (Genre)
Thanks in advanced.

After trying a few apps I'd say it's a waste of money - these apps are nowhere close to DAWs like Ableton/FL/Logic etc. Maybe FL Mobile will be something good, but if you really need to produce music get a laptop.
I agree they are all a waste of money for producing but they are ok for just for fun.
Might plug my pad into my studio and get caustic used as a synth cubase as theres a sound on it i want to use in a track.
Apart from that they are all a bit of fun

Tintin, Video Editing, Powerpoint?

I've been reading a lot about the Note 10.1. Frankly, tablets are a luxury for me as I already have a decent desktop at home, and don't really like carrying more stuff than I absolutely need, when commuting 2 hours back and forth every day. And I already have the Note 5.3, which frankly is a little over rated for its s-pen integration.
But now I want the tablet, thanks to all the marvelous reviews and comments I've seen! One burning question which I have is games. I'm not a heavy gamer but there's one game which I really liked on the S2, which doesn't work on the Note: Adventures of Tintin. Can someone confirm whether this game can be installed and played in the gorgeous mode? Rather than the laughably ugly 2D mode?
Another question: how good is video editing on this tablet? I'm asking this in behalf of someone who's considering getting an ipad with imovie (spelling?).
Lastly, is it easy to create or edit powerpoint slides with the Note? Its fiddly on my phone, but I imagine it to be much better on a larger device.
TIA!

I downloaded it to my Note 5.3, backed it up and side loaded it to the Note and it comes up saying, device is not compatible with this game. Please request a refund. So it would seem it doesn't work on the Note 10.1
TS
Of course you can create or edit powerpoint as you like and its better on device have a big screen like Note 10.0 , and it come with Polaris Office preinstalled app , more easy

Thanks for the replies. I'm kind of sad about Tintin not working on the 10.1. May I know of it runs in the"gorgeous" mode on your 5.3?
Yeah, you're right about editing ppts, it should be a lot easier on a larger screen.
Now I'm just waiting for thoughts about video editing.

Wow, that Tintin game downloaded over 830MB of data into the phone to even play.
anyway, I honestly can't tell if it is in gorgeous mode. I don''t see any mode setting anywhere. It looks like it is. lol

Alot of people complain of emulator slowdowns when using the newest system software. However i havent experienced any. I use snes9x for snes games, haves used it since the psp and on windows as well. Drastic for ds emulation, kinda spendy but it works really well too and worth the money. Espxe for ps1 emulation. Thats all about all i use. I bought a mini hdmi and ps3 controller for when i use it on my bigscreen and its awesome. Game streaming is also awesome. Playing watch dogs on the shield is pretty sweet haha. Roms are straight forward copy and Paste to the shield when its hooked up to pc via usb. Or u can pull the sd card and put it in a usb reader. Transferring via wifi is pretty easy as well. Half life 2 and portal are worth the money even though i have both already i bought them again [emoji1] everything is pretty straight forward and easy. Dont know if you plan on rooting it but thats pretty easy too. Any more questions ppst away
If mainly emulation, no real point in updating. I have all my roms on the sd card. Saves for emulators do not work if on the card with kitkat. Best to stay away from kitkat IMO if just emulators and Android games.
cheers guys, managed to get everything working except mame4all. cant seem to find the roms folder
