I am making a custom theme for CyanogenMod and i was wondering how you add the custom message when you flash the rom. Im talking about when you install it and most roms/themes will say a personal message thing. I really want to know how to do this. Any help is appreciated.
Anybody know? I thought i figured it out but now if i try to flash it it just gives me an error code

Ive been looking and i just cannot find one...aside from project nocturnal. Or a way to restore a stock theme.. I downloaded the actual theme files but most of the custom roms have the themes option taken out and I just need help.. If anyone could lend any advice it would be greatly appreciated
Hi.
Looked around the forum for a while but didnt find anything I could use. I wanted to know wether its possible to dualboot a custom rom (like resurrection) and stock firmware.

Dear user,
I would like to see your advice whether should I flash a cutom rom like NOS_v2.0.0_X920E or to still run stock?
My device is HTC X920e with unlocked bootloader, S-ON rooted and TWRP installed.
Are there any advantages to go for custom rom? I know i'm running and there are some chines app installed even we delete it removed it using other advance apk or ultimate backup.etc, but after restart the phone, thos will be auto installed which is very annoying.
But maybe you can help bring some more reasons why we should still on stock or custom one.
Thank in advance and feel that in HTC butterfly's forum seem silent and not more developers like to pay much here.
Fell very lonely here
Edited: decided to flash right a way. running custom rom now...
phone's really not that famous to devs out there. so far I've used the NOS ROM and nothing else. not much to choose from, that is. but the ROM's running great for a daily driver.
Hello guys,
I am posting here just for a simple topic which I couldn't get help from anywhere. It might feel stupid but I want to add boot sound on my AOSP based kitkat ROM but couldn't find any clue about it as none came stock.
So can anyone guide me to accomplish this task ?
I found a lot of places citing how to change boot sound but nowhere to add one. And other Custom Roms for my device like MIUI and Galaxy S5 ROMs had bootsound on them. So I think there is support and I just need to activate it somehow. So please friend grant my wish and teach me how to do this..
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Guys I want to know what makes a certain Rom special/better than others ?
I'm kind of new in this, the roms I've built right now are all built upon the stock Rom of my phone.
The only differences between my roms and the stock are ringtones, fonts, apps, boot animation, themes, wallpapers, etc like all the basic things.
I'm not finding this interesting, I wanna make something of my own.
How should I do this ? By using the Google source as a base in the kitchen ?
If its possible from where should I download this source code?
You guys must have figured out by now that I'm a noob
I'm not sure but I could be lost, so any help will be greatly appreciated
PS is there any internship thing here on xda, to which one could to apply and learn how to build a Rom from scratch/Google source.
PPS I'm tired of flashing my own phone every time i wanna test my build, is there a virtual box for flashing ROMS ? Like Genymotion but its for apps....
Thanks
