Launch Bar ? - General Questions and Answers

Newbie here. Just rooted and using Myns 2.2 Rls5. I love the setup but looking for a minimalist dock with just text on glass. Go launcher Ex has the closest thing i could find with their CLEAN TEXT THEME. So i want to keep all the myns screen widgets but want to use Go launcher for my launcher. Is there a way to make that happen?
Btw if anyone has the link to Kanessa's text icon set can you post? Thanks.

[Q] customizations

I've done my research can't find the answer. I like how you can use custom icons with launcher pro. I like the text look for icons. I dont like the launcher pro setup. I like how the original 7 screens are set up with 2.2 ota. Using launcher pro you can't get the widgets like on the original screens. I have each page set up the way i like and have found no way to do it using lp.
I would like to know if there is a way to replace the icons with the text in the original 2.2 ota. Is there an icon changer program that allows this?
How do you make custom icons?
All help appreciated. Thanks, Eric
I've used ADW and launcher pro both and they both have a custom shortcut option. I used it to change my messaging icon recently.

The best quick and easy way is adw, better home, LP etc. other than that. Pull every apk from your phone and edit its icon and push back.

I use the custom short cut option works great for my needs.
Its much easier to use something like LauncherPro. Its a great app and is completely customizable.
If you go with the LauncherPro method... check out the customizations and icons and what not here

i believe those are morphs...gotta be rooted to use metamorph
You could do this with either ADW Launcher or LauncherPro with some text based icons and you could probably make the clock/date with Minimalistic Text Widget.

thats launcher pro. with a custom dock, and the text icons, all of which you can find over at the launcherpro forums. http://www.launcherpro.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=11&sid=b0cec58ec5af26bd7c5fc02540519fd7
i know that clock widget, but can't remember the name.

[Q] Warm 2.2 Rom with Launcher add on...

I have loaded the myn's warm 2.2 ROM with the themed launcher pro add on (link on site below), however, when I choose the launcher pro action, I lose the clock/weather widget you see on most ROMs. How can I use the launcher pro add on and still keep the clock/weather widget?
I REALLY like the toolbar look on the add on, so basically i want to combine the cool looking tool bar (bottom) with the clock/weather widget.
Thanks!!

How to change icons on Nexus S?

Hello,
I rooted my nexus s and was wondering how do I change the Icons on them? Do I have to download a ROM for a custom theme? Also I downloaded a icon package which I really like, was wondering if its possible to use them?
adw ex launcher lets you change your icons
or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389071
Use a launcher that allows you to change the icons. If you're on ICS, use Nova Launcher. If not, ADW, Launcher Pro and GO Launcher all let you customize icons.
Keep in mind though, that for apps the icons are only changed in the homescreen, but not in the drawer.
That is true for all except GO!Launcher. It changes app icons in App Drawer. Otherwise you're right those are all great options. You can however change the icon in a system folder somehow... I've seen a tutorial on the forums somewhere, but it takes work.

Icons

I recently downloaded ADW launcher using the flux theme. Not bad but I'm thinking of going back to stock launcher but would like to keep the fluxed icons. Is this possible?

i am not sure if it is possible with the regular ADW but i know in ADW EX that you if you go into the theme setting of ADW that you can set the theme to stock, and then you can just change the icons. If you need me to screen shot what i am talking about i can do that for you.
I think the OP wants the icon pack separate from ADW so they can use them in the stock launcher. In that case, I'm not aware of the icon pack's location. I've often wondered this myself. There are apps that will change any icon for any app on screen. Just need access to the icons.

Oh haha. I am sure that he could use an icon pack from the android section and use desktop visualizer to apply the icons. But that does take A LOT of time to do. But if you do use the icon packs from the android section, there are a lot of options too. Like a lot of options.
i think you can try to do it,maybe it sucess
I have adw ex but prefer go launcher. Can have certain themes with different icons, if that is what you are after.
