I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere else, but here are the Playstation live wallpapers from the Xperia Play. I currently have both working and running on my N1. Simply install them like usual.
If you have any problems please let me know.
[EDIT] These live wallpapers require android 2.3.1 or higher

I believe they require 2.2 or higher. Off the top of my head I don't remember I'll have to double check that.
[EDIT] after double checking looks 2.3 is required for these wallpapers.

It`s sad i actually can`t use them but I`m glad they probably will work on any 2.3 version (whenever i will get it)
Works fine with my G2 running cm7. Although lwps are basically incompatible with third party launchers which is what I'm using

Having the exact same issue, running a Nexus S with cm7rc2
For those having the issue of loading-black screen-loading; do they eventually load? Or are you stuck watching it trying to load forever? I don't have this issue and cannot replicate it.

Make sure unknown sources is checked in Settings - Applications, download the apps, use a file manager to find the apps on you SD card, select the app and choose install.

It never loads and if I apply it as my live background anyway, it pauses for 2-3 seconds and loads up the default Nexus live background

If its crashing on launch, try to move two fingers in circles during launch. For whatever reason, that works

Downloaded and working on Vanilla Skyraider
I believe its a Rom issue. It was working great on ruby. I flashed a vanilla mashup I'm working on of the new ota and it doesn't work now.

Weird. Works great for me and I'm also running CM6.0.2.

Downloaded the APK. Threw on the root of sdcard. Find with Astro. Open with AppManager. Install and it almost instantly changes to "Application Not Installed"

Also, please don't say things like "It looks unlikely SE will update to 2.2" They've already announced they will implement newer versions months ago.

You clearly havn't looked into it, with the leaked roadmap for x10 2.1 is as far as we go, although they have put 2.2 under review it dosn't mean we will get it.

A treat for all of you who want to use flashplayer.......
Here is the way you can get it to work
1. Download Flash Player from the above url or from the attachment below (Zip)
2. Install it and Restart the mobile
3. Download the file attached below (flashplayer.apk)
4. Restart the mobile again and here you go
My apologise as it is not working for me either after factory resetting...
I am not a developer but try different things to get work out.... It worked when I installed the way I mentioned but perhaps I had rooted 2.1 and washed out nearly all Sony Ericssion applications.

Sigh. The problem with using things like this as evidence is we never see the full picture. As far as everyone on the internet is concerned, that's their 2010 roadmap.
Also, 3.0 doesn't exist. Even if it did, all signs point to it being a tablet focused release, rather than a smartphone one.
this is the problem of "UPDATING" to an already obsolete OS

installation:
download Jbed.apk from attachment and install it.
if last section not working for you,
download Jbed.zip and flash it with CWM!
I created a signed flash-able package for easy install it!
Tested on my wildfire and 100% working!
you can press on Thanks button and download it from attachment.
you can flash this package on all clockworkmod recovery version (2 and 3 and 4)

If it's the same thing from Windows Mobile, then it's an app that will let you run java apps on your phone. The same kind of programs that basically ruled Nokia for years.

Jbed.apk is not valid, it says "Parse Error", I get the same error in froyo
I had problems flashing it but fixed it by installing it manually.

What do you know? It works. However there are some real major glitches. If you remember, almost all JAR games etc depended on left/ right soft keys. And in my SGS there is no such thing.
I tried all buttons and keys on this phone, but to no avail. Also the resolution of the games leave a lot to be desired (though for this you cannot do anything from your end).
Any suggestions on the key bug that I have highlighted above will be really appreciated. But once again thanks for making this - LONG TIME PENDING!

I tried this JBED package and other different JBED versions (from 2.1 to 2.3.1).
The previous versions to 2.3.1 show an FC right after trying to open. ROM details are at the signature.
JBED version 2.3.1, the one contained in this package as well on the LeeDrOiD v3.3.1 ROM for Desire HD / Inspire 4G and the add-on at Android Revolution HD thread for Desire HD / Inspire 4G, doesn't show FC but all of them display a "Maybe no sd card or sd card is busy, please check it" message. So it isn't possible to install any jar.
Any ideas how to make JBED (or other Java VM) work with this Virtuous Unity 1.31 ROM?
I do apologize for the stupid question, but: how do I install this?

Hi there,
I installed the zip through the stock recovery of gingerbread on my galaxy fit. It installed fine on my galaxy fit and I now have a java app in my app drawer. But when I run the app it searches the jar files on my sdcard (don't know why it also shows my framework.jar etc. system files). When I install and run the java app the screen becomes pixelated. I mean the app doesn't run correctly.. the screen is distorted.. I can't read or view anything. Please help me fix this !!

I know what you mean. I pulled the APK from my HTC Inspire 4G and sideloaded it on KF. It even works with-out rooting. You have to give it a zip code to make it work, but thats no big deal.
If you don't want to type a zip code in and want to use geolocation you could install a modaco custom rom. The rom has built in network location and play store. You should only do this if you have already rooted and installed twrp. What you have now is probably fine.

So it sounds like you got it working then. Would you mind uploading the apk you used? Are you using a stock ROM by chance or something else on the Fire?
If you have play store you could download it and get the version for the kindle fire

Thanks, I will grab it and try it out when I flash back to a stock type rom. I am trying out CM7 right now and it has the app installed. Hopefully this one will work with a stock rom.

Well I got it installed on the stock rooted rom I am running but it will not show up in the app drawer I can open it through titanium backup though. Seems weird it will not show in the app drawer. Unfortunately I have no way that I know of to get it to my favorites and not have to go through titanium backup to open it. Wiping dalvik and cache didn't work, nor did clearing the launcher data.

The new Viki forces ads in between the shows. Here's version 2.1.3 which has no ads. Just uninstall your current Viki app. Then erase the file .Viki located in your internal SD. Then install the attached apk here.

You have to allow installation of unknown sources in settings. You might also want to try to insert the apk in /data/data and set permissions to -rw -r -r.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. This works great, but since this is the older version how will it update for new shows? Like, if there's a new episode. Does it automatically add the new episode and subs from the newer version of Viki?

Hi, I was experiencing the same problem around a month ago and up to now it's still not working. I thought I was the only one, but apparently not. I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one but at the same time scared cuz that could mean something is wrong with the ver. (;_
