My ! key doesnt work nor does ( ). When I press the FN key when typing, the application leaves messaing and goes to calendar!!
This isnt a hardware fault I'm sure, rather some odd software setting somewhere. Can anyone help please?
With what little information you've provided.....
I would say you have a TP keyboard on your Fuze or Visa-Versa.

Hi. I have a Samsung S5600 phone with touchscreen and i'd like to install a java instant messaging program and use the OSK to type . But , it doesn't have a QWERTY type , but 2ABC , 3DEF, 4GHI etc... and you have to press multiple times . Can i install another keyboard somehow to have QWERTY ?
Also, anoyone knows , is it a finger only touchscreen like Iphone or can i use a stylus also ?
i couldnt figure out how to change the typing input method, and its true, its very uncomfy.
anyway, the screen is a capacitive one. this means you can only touch it with your fingers or any part of your body, but not stylus. however, it may work using some kind of metal stick or any metal stuff (though i tried it but didnt work).
I have a x10 mini and is hard to type in a qwert keyboard in this small screen but still I can type.
but the biggest problem is that when I pull my finger from the screen after press the correct key, it let swipe to other key.
what im trying to explain is that I, and I believe others, dont want swipe between the keys. When I pess the screen dont want swipe to other key then that I pressed
if this exist plix tell me
if not plix add in any keyboard
tnx if you understant me and google translate
Hello.
I'm interested in a Transformer Prime pad, but don't have one (yet…? ), so, please pardon the question… Anyway…
Is the keyboard from the KeyDock also usable (as a keyboard…), if the display isn't docked in?
Oh, and if the keyboard is used, does Android then also display the (in this case) useless on screen keyboard when text is entered? I hope not…
Lastly, I'm interested in the keyboard layout; how many keys does it have? Does it also have a <ctrl> key? It would be awesome, if somebody could please post a picture of the keyboard (or a link to one…).
I'm asking, because I'd like to figure out, how feasible it might be, to use the thing as a SSH client (using e.g. ConnectBot).
Thx,
Alexander
No, no, lots (could you not look at a picture?), yes. Connectbot works okay, but key combos don't always work. ConnnectBot needs to be updated for full support
Thx for the quick response!
I suppose connecting a Bluetooth keyboard to it would work, wouldn't it?
I know, I'm getting Off Topic, but… How about a USB and/or Bluetooth mouse? On YouTube, I found the video "How to Use a Bluetooth Mouse With the Acer Iconia A500", which shows that BT keyboard & mouse work with 3.1 — on the Acer device. How about Asus?
And, if mouse works, is copy/paste in ConnectBot as easy as it is on a "proper" Linux xterm or as in PuTTY?
Thanks again,
Alexander

I use a bluetooth keyboard with Connectbot, and yes the stupid on-screen keyboard appears, but pressing the Back softkey (or Esc on the keyboard, in my case,) hides it.
Key combos don't work for me, because Ctrl is not passed into the app, I think that's my S3 being dumb, but the Menu key on the keyboard brings up the menu with copy/paste and other options, so that at least is OK.
I think a mouse would technically work, but most apps are designed for touch-only, so I don't know if they would handle a mouse correctly. And it would probably be an app-by-app question.
Is there any way to get the function key to work with the keyboard dock ?
The function key are replaced with android functions. This is nice, but when i'm using a terminal emulation, or any other app, how can i use the Functions keys F1-F10 without the use of a software key ?
You would need a terminal or software that supports mapping the keys accordingly. If you know what it sends, BTEP allows customizing what the Back, Search, Volume +, Volume -, Camera, and Focus keys send but we don't have the last two but AFAIK no body supports our other buttons.
In practice it's not wise to use the function keys for a terminal based program, unless you are sure you will be using a terminal that has them!
AFAIK the VT100 and VT220 terminals that are commonly emulated didn't have true function keys but did have something vaguly like F1 to F4; what stuff like XTerm and Screen do to make F1-F12 work is sort of a lie that happens to works with the right stuff. So YMMV even on PCs.

I use ConnectBot and it works really well. The functions keys are returned corectly as well. My only problem is that when using the keyboard dock, i can't type the f keys, i need to unplug the keboard, then use the software keyboard (ESC Hackers keyboard) and then select the Function keys.
Is there any way to get the function key to work with the keyboard dock ?
The Function Keys
OK.. i found them
CTRL + number
so F1= CTRL+1, F2= CTRL+2 etc..
thanks
And can somebody tell, .. plz, ..
