I saw these on another website, can't remember which. They said that most of the apps install, but don't run. Can you confirm this?

If you delete the current versions (preferably making a backup first, the three that won't install/FC (Gallery, Desk Clock, Test Market) they should work.
Cubes live wallpaper works on cm7 rc4 nook color, but its nothing special at all. Just a rotating 3d cube. Reminds me of the 80s.
Actually the file installed 2 identical wallpapers. The second has settings but it force closes when I select settings.
The test version of Market is 2.2.11 that was released 2 months ago. It'll automatic update to v2.3.4 when you run the app.
nope, none of those work besides Music, idk about the market wont even try.
It was on AndroidCentral or something
Music works great, i love the new UI, but they ssaid none of the others will work right now
You need to move camera and gallery to system/app and give them all permissions on use root explorer to do this nothing knew about it except the camera records in 480p. Also the gallery loads faster.

And how might one learn when negative statements like this are posted? At some point you didn't know how to do this as well. I come to these forums to learn new things and I try my best to pass those lessons, tips and tricks on and teach as best as I can. Isn't that what every XDA member should aspire to?

Also, guys. Camera does work. I would not recommend trying the market because once you try to put your old market back, it will just FC when you try to install or update things.
Do I need to be on 2.3 to try the music app?
Gallery doesnt work on Desire HD MIUI
Can someone upload pictures of these apps? I have the music player, but I'm not too interested in a new market, camera or gallery(QuickPic is my favorite so far, so if the new Gallery opens up as fast as QuickPic, then I'll change). I'd still like to see what they look like though. Are they all Honeycomb-themed like the music player?
Camera not working Samsung galaxy 3 i5800
This new camera.apk is not working for me :-(

im pretty sure the implication was to use the many tools and walk thrus on other posts for installing system apps and not asking in this thread how to do it step by step, theres tons of useful tools on this forum just take the time to research it and understand how things work and teach yourself
I'd like to see the gallery too, never really understood the whole 3d gallery UI...
I tried most of them and they work but gallery doesnt open and asks for force close. I like the cube though....
Gallery and camera don't work on Nexus S or Archos 70IT. Shame, music app works on both.
On the music 3.0 app I can't sync/login to my Google account, whenever I select 'Google Account' I just get a screen that doesn't load anything, any ideas?

EDIT: Got the Live Cubes installed... awesome ****! - but whenever I want to change the cubes settings the Live Wallpaper Picker FC's...
EDIT2: Now I got the DeskClock widget working - had to install it to the phone - not on the sdcard - but hitting the app-icon in the drawer i get a FC... so no config possibilities
EDIT3: Found a possible reasing for the Gallery-app not working on x10mini - the manifest.xml doesn't allow LDPI :/ I can't get smali/baksmali working, so I can't do the fixing my self... If I provide a dev with LDPI png's would a they mind decompiling the app, editing the manifest.xml and recompiling it into to apps? On with LDPI png's and one without LDPI png's.

from jubeh:
Alright, here it is, my Legend/AOSP custom rom is still very much in the works (not a direct port, I'm building a lot of it by myself, the other parts I'm just adding, like the HTC IME or this music player), so I'll release the fixed app by itself. Hope this is somehow integrated into first post.
I fixed the rotation issue for two activities, the main activity, and the track browser activity (Now Playing).
There's still a bug where if you open your keyboard while at the track browser activity you'll lose the bottom bar, this doesn't happen at the main activity. I'll see if I can fix it later.
I added the eclair appwidget which IMHO looks a lot better than any other. I could have a look later and integrate additional widgets from other threads, but I'd have to get in contact with those devs to see if we could make it happen.
Also, I could change the other activities (the ones that have a scrolling tab) to be viewable in landscape mode with the sensor (without having to use the keyboard). If you guys want that, it's an easy change.
I changed the music app icon to match the new rom I'm making (legend themed), this includes the now-playing statusbar icon.
Install it by either flashing it through recovery (it's inside an update.zip already) or push it through adb (you have to extract it from the zip).
Hope somebody finds this useful.

Sorry, i don't think so, i just was able to do this one as it was an app inside the Fender ROM, so the only things nessecary to be changed were some SDK attributes in the AndroidManifest... maybe someone with more skill than me can do it with a bit of framework hackery
Whatever. i'm gonna take a look at that stuff, maybe it isn't as hard as everyone is saying? :s

But as it uses the same widget as the stock music app...
maybe it's possible to get the widgets running on this via apktool?

So I can across the system dump for the Acer Liquid and I was intrigued by the UI, it's truly one of a kind for android. I went ahead and pulled the main apks from the /system/app in the dump and installed them on my Epic, and what do you know they worked!
Getting It To Work
To get to work simply copy the attached apks to somewhere on your sdcard, and install them with your favorite file manager. Then click the home soft key and select the "Home" launcher (com.acer.android.breeze.launcher).
Note: I would recommend installing the launcher first, before installing Nemo Player, though it shouldn't mater. Just make sure you have both for increased performance.
What Works...
All functions of the launcher work to my knowledge, except for changing the background (long press on the "lock screen"), which force closes and reloads the launcher.
All soft keys also work as what they do normally.
A swipe to the left pulls up your recent app history, and a slide to the right pulls up your media.
Quick launch icons at the bottom work, and a swipe up brings up the launcher for all your apps, similar to the samsung launcher. (Slide right and left, not up and down.)

How do we get SMS, Email notifications?
Trying to download this from my phone but it keeps saying that the content is not supported.
Hey, this is pretty cool. Works on my Evo too. Download Sms pop up so you'll be able to see when your texts come in. Needs some work, but its still really cool. The UI was done very different but very well.
Its just a cool concept for a launcher I thought, and just excuse the name of the download it added another .apk for some reason but it works the same as any other install. You have to put these files onto the sdcard to install it, you cant do it directly from the phone, and also dont rename the files.

ya.... i want to see a screen of the launcher
not for sure but imma guess this?
-FOR THE SETTINGS AND WALLPAPERS TO WORK YOU HAVE TWO WAYS OF MAKING IT WORK
1) you have to push system/media/wallpaper and system/media/AcerDatabases into the system media folder.
which you can download it here both files http://www.4shared.com/file/X_tZG5Ms/Acer_Database_and_Wallpapers.html
2) you can manually download the original wallpapers from this phone from here,
http://www.4shared.com/file/X_tZG5Ms/Acer_Database_and_Wallpapers.html
and after you download the wallpapers you have to open it and drag it & save it to your SD Card.
When your done doing that you have to go back to your homescreen and open on your menu and open the "Gallery application" that came with your phone. after you open your "gallery app" go to folder or wallpapers that you saved on your sd card, (which the gallery app will read from your sd card when you open the application) , and open any wallpaper image and when you see the full image , just go to your options and SET IT AS A WALLPAPER, when your phone is done setting the wallpaper just go back to your homescreen and and go back to your application menu and look in your menu for a application call "HOME DECOR" , (this application automatic install when you download the home launcher), open it and it will no longer force close anymore, Now u can even go back to your homescreen and just long press the screen (like you would do to open a widget) and it will no longer force closes, now you can change your wallpapers and settings.
sorry but you have to manually set up each wallpaper from your gallery app, it wont let you do it from the "HOME DECOR" app cuz it wont recognize it, unless you do the FIRST STEP, But this is the only ways i got it to work.
hahaha came here trolling around cuz someone said the epic sms app is different from the tmo vibrant but found this. works awesome, thanks bud.
Is this from Acer's newest dump?I found ver 1.0 on Mobilism.org but it came from "Acer Liquid Stream" system dump,is that another version of Liquid or same as original?
Big Thanx, everything is working now even "long press" on lockscreen.I went to wallpapers and "set as wallpaper" set a wallpaper and now long press on lockscreen and acer settings no longer fc!Now if only acer smoothen this up a bit but im still gonna use it as my eveyday launcher.

Very clean but slow/laggy when I do things including something as simple as moving the notification bar up and down.
Really love the interface
So simple and smooth. Looks like a iOS app
I am loving the GUI.
does this app have a lockscreen widget?...or a widget at all?
So far it's a great start.
Requests:
Genre searching
Smart playlist (i.e. recently played, most played)
Lockscreen widget
More widget options (sizes)
Some simple themes (i.e. the default theme seems to be white, so I'd like to see how a dark theme looks)
The special/smart shuffle which plays similar songs is really good. Great job with that.
I really like the widget, but request that the instinctiv logo on the side be replaced with album art.
I like the UI a lot, but I feel the bottom bar of the now playing screen is taking up too much space. Personally I think it would look better if the bottom buttons were enlarged a bit and the whole bottom bar was smaller, both to give more album art space and better look in general imo.
And perhaps the songs/artists/albums text could be a bit bigger when scrolling. (but I may just not be used to it, so I don't know)
I'll add more suggestions/requests as I think of them.
All in all, a great start though. There's a lot of cool and useful stuff about this player and I look forward to seeing it advance.

Nice UI, and better with EQ plus be able to scan specific folder instead of the whole SD card.
Was looking for a 3.0 style lockscreen for stock 2.3.4 Incredible and am loving this app. Paid $1.43 for the full version and well worth it imo (would steer clear of downloading the 3 chinese apps to get it free as some of those apps have viruses but this app itself is clean). Still got a few minor bugs like the imbedded music controls don't work but thats about it. Able to put clickable widgets on the lockscreen and having the status bar open and running means I no longer have any reason to unlock the phone lol. Got a 4x1 5 day weather widget and a 4x1 default music player widget that all function properly.
If you like the vanilla agile lock, wait till you see my mods....I can only post the agilelock free, otherwise it is illegal. Those apps contain viruses? How did you find that out? I know they are all Chinese, and I can't read them. Will have the mods up in the theme section tonight....
Edit- Just tried googling the answer, and lookout doesn't seem to find anything. If you were to download the apps, and then flash a fresh install of cm7, or whatever, would the viruses still be there?

Theres also a thread under the general android section discussing this app and people who had downloaded some of the chinese apps found they contained viruses. So everyone knows what we are talking about theres a thing in the agile lock app that if you download 3 free chinese apps you will get agile lock for free. Not all of the free apps have viruses but people need to be aware of what possibly could happen. Just easier to pay the $1.43 and play it safe. Some people just quickly download the 3 apps to get the free version then uninstall them right away and have had no problems but its hit and miss. The viruses would be gone if you did a full wipe and then fresh install of cm7.
I'd like to see what you've done with it as its pretty cool as it is but could use a little work still. Dev responds to emails quickly and updates it fairly often from what I've seen.
Thanks guy, I have heard it both ways. In the process of uploading right now, but have a files, and pictures. should be up in an hour or so. Glad to know that a full flash would rectify the problem. I have the paid version, that i have themed for myself, but also tried the download method so I could tell people if it O.K. or not. I know it says not to share any of your info with the downloaded apps. Just download them, and open them. This is the one thing about a closed garden that I can appreciate. Other than that, Crapple can keep their itunes. This is my first attempt at theming, so right now it is just the ring. As I progress, I might change up the dock bar, and the other stuff. Will post you a update when they are here.
Wow this is old.
Well, i finally got them up for you to see. I think they are right above your topic in themes. Hey Toked up, thought you might like the tool one I made. I am a huge fan as well. Also have 2 happy leaves made with you in mind.
Hows the performance on this? I am using Nils Business Sense 2.1/3.0 right now, and i'm about to switch to stock+ As i would like faster speeds, Love the ROM, but... ugh. so much RAM used, So much slower..
sometimes you have to fiddle with the setting to make sure you don't have a double lockscreen, but other than that, it eats about 11 megs of RAM. If you are on stock, or even better, cm7, you will have plenty of Ram.

Yes its old but I spent days searching for info on 3.0 locksreens for stock sense before I found the old thread in apps and games. Thought I'd save others some time if they are interested in the same thing and post it here too. Plus the app was just updated the other day to work better with gingerbread 2.3.4 on the Inc. The old version, 1.7.1, you couldn't put widgets on the lockscreen it would force close and now thats fixed. Still get issues with double lockscreens occasionally, like at first boot and then at random times but nothing too major.

My settings says the app is using 888 KB. Haven't seen any noticeable excess draws on power or performance.
The free version shows that it is pulling 5.3 MB in RAM in running services. The full Version shows 7.2 MB in running services.

Really like Kzoodroid said, it doesn't effect much in power, or processing.
Okay didn't look in running services, mine is 8.2 MB, its slightly higher probably because I have 2 widgets running on it.
It's cool bro, just trying to help out. Did you check out my mods? What did you think?

They look cool dude, especially the Grateful Dead one. Just haven't had a chance to try them out yet.
You guys think that HTC will get this blocked for patent violation like they did the weather/clock apps that were out there on the market? Or is that a feature they don't have patented?
not sure if htc could sue, i thought apple held the patents for lockscreens and was suing htc? in any case even if it was blocked from the market you could still find it somewhere else especially since its a chinese app and they don't honor u.s. patents.

Hax Launcher is a new take on the conventional Android launcher.
The Android Launcher game is dull, only a few launchers out there really redefine the way the Android launcher works. We are one of those. Our goal is to provide something fresh, but familiar enough to fully utilize from the moment you pick it up. Hax Launcher is still early in development, and features are being added all the time. Let's highlight a few differences between Hax and other launchers out there.
Instead of having lots of information spread out across multiple screens, we try to provide you with a more focused layout, targeting whatever you want to access the moment you want to access it.

Hax Launcher uses a custom system of LivePanels. These are third party applications that provide a simple widget-like behavior in the launcher's Main Menu. This is a totally new open system that any developer can tap into. There are multiple examples on GitHub, and we provide instructions for developing on Hax's LivePanel API on thehax.org.
Instead of your choosing apps to place on the dock, Hax uses a more familiar approach of putting your recent apps along the bottom, similar to a taskbar on a PC. Also like a PC, open up the Main Menu by pressing the circular start button in the dock. And you still get your chosen apps in the Main Menu, now in a scrollable list of app panels. Just drop an app on the dock at the bottom of the homescreen. If you want to remove apps from the main menu, swipe them left or right, off the list.
You can kill any running apps in the dock by swiping the icon upward. (Root may be required for full functionality. See Advanced under Launcher Settings to enable.)
Push notifications are built in to facilitate instant updates (and maybe a chat channel in the future...).
Universal search is built in. Nevermind Google's crippled search (and thanks a heap for that, Apple). Search the web, contacts, and installed applications right from the Main Menu. (This is still a very early feature and will be expanded in the future.)
Check out SimpleWeatherPlugin, one of the currently available LivePanel plugins.

Play store says it is 4.0.3 and above. Bummer
I could not add a BeaWeather widget. I selected it but it never showed up in my screen. I was able to add a PhoneWeaver widget with no problem.

That just sucks. Oh well. Anyways, if the dev would possibility try and make it work on GB, i would install this in a heartbeat. I always wanted a desktop type launcher on android.
