Icons in VirusROM - Thunderbolt General

<rant>
New user here... apparently I can't post to the development forum since I have less than 10 posts (really irritating). So I am stuck posting my question here instead of the thread where this is actually taking place.
</rant>
On page 80 of the VirusROM thread, some dude says to download "Launcher Pro Icons and Docks" to get the icons from VirusROM... I bought it, and still can't find them. Did I waste my money on his recommendation? If so, where can I get them? I don't mind extracting them myself (if possible)... maybe take a SS and crop them? If someone could point me in the right direction...
Thanks.

It's called DreamLyfe.Original. You can down the demo version for free. It contains the dock and 5 icons. There's also a paid version which contains a lot. More details here: http://www.dreamlyfe.xtreemhost.com/original.html

You, sir, are the man. Much appreciated.

You can pull the images from launcher pro

Animated wallpapers.

I notice the Leo comes with three animated wallpapers, none of which I'm too fond of. Are there anymore available, either from HTC themselves or made by people on here/elsewhere?
Cheers.
So there are none?
Pagnell,
I have just done a quick search myself on XDA to find animated wallpapers. Took me all of 5 seconds to find several threads on this.

Yeah, did you bother looking at any of the search results? Looks like a bunch of stuff on S2U2 backgrounds, and a couple of other threads asking the same question.
He is not looking for animated wallpapers for s2u2, but for the stock htc sense.Has if any of you help with some.

Pity you didn't actually read what I was asking about and, more importantly, check the search results you say you received. You might have then realised your patronizing attitude is somewhat misplaced.
I'm doubting that wacky banana will bother responding to any of our comments at this point.

Yes....it's really sad when people use that kind of condescending attitude when they don't even bother to read the question properly in the first place.

So far I have only seen one with a christmassy snowflake animation, but that one replaces one of the default animated wallpapers.
So it looks like there aren't any for now.
Do us a favour guys. Wacky.banana made 1 comment, but you lot have contaminated this thread by slating him. I'm waiting for real input on this problem, but keep getting updates because one of you has slagged him off.
He made a mistake, and it's been pointed out.
Can we try and get this thread back on topic please?
Edit:
Apologies kenkiller - you posted as I was typing. Thanks mate
So, anyone found any animated wallpapers yet?
+1 here, would be really interested to know
Not really! I havent not found any, and I have been searching for a good one too...
Are the animated wallpapers special somehow? Or can we just throw together an old school animated gif?

Nope. you can't. Now that the bickering has stopped, i may have what you're looking for. Keep in mind that all I did was to collect these all in one place, i changed some of the names to reflect the name of the person who actually did it. I did find these here at xda, but it took a lot of hours and some serious thinking for new terms for the searches. Any time I find a new one I will add to this thread at ppcgeeks.

Hi Thanks for the link,
Is there any animated wallpaper which depends on the system time.
Wallpaper should change like shining sun in the day time and something like a moon with starts in the night time.....

Thanks a lot for the links, much appreciated!
Any pointers on how I'd go about making my own?
Has anyone tried them yet? I'm just about to.. Will post comments later.
OK, I'm with Leo and only one (CMYLXGOs.NRGXMas.M2.5.Animated.Wallpaper.cab) of the wallpapers worked for me. Now I have 2 cabs in my installed programs list that I can't remove, and one of my original wallpapers is screwed.

Just an announcement...

This is just a little announcement... I am feeling really fuzzy inside because this device now has it's own forum! Oh let the development commence!
I agree very exciting, I don't think anyone knows yet spread the word.

As you were the thread starter on the Mega thread, could add a link to the new section in your OP there for Newbies to find steering them over to this new section? Maybe update that thread title a bit to help redirect folks? It just got so big though some of us have followed and read all along, I think at this point it's not really worth it for New folks... also they may quickly get turned off as thread starts mostly finding the original problems

What about the LG UI is it you guys want? I haven't seen anything unique or special. Acer's Liquid? I see the interest. Certain aspects of Touchwiz 4.0? Ok I understand. The is kinda like asking people to port Motoblur though
Also, I don't want to be "Mr. wanna-be-mod", but there seems to be a general misunderstanding in the Themes and Apps section about this. Questions go in Q&A EVEN IF it's a question about a theme or app. Not attacking the OP personally, as I truely think its a misunderstanding of proper placement of threads. People just have a harder time finding themes or apps of interest when they all get pushed down by a lot of question threads.

She just likes how the ROM looks. She sees the screenshots and youtube videos of the O2x and wants it. Thinks it looks cute and girly. I keep telling her she's misguided but hey

I see, well just tell her it barely functions and she'll feel like throwing her phone at a wall if she installed it. Maybe that will help

I also think many avoid the QA section simply because the XDA app does not list it as a valid section. I only see the General, Themes, and Android sections on my XDA app which is why I posted my recent question under General so I can see the responses without having to be in front of my computer or jumping onto the browser and spending the next 5 mins cursing the screen not adjusting how I want it so I can see it.

Attitudes on forum sites

I recently had a problem finding a Rom on the site. I kept going to all the pages and nothing I did worked when I tried to bring up the Rom on my computer. I asked in the section Galaxy Nexus for Verizon. Is there an update to my Rom. Instead of getting an answer I got things like can't you read huh. I then asked a direct yes or no and got a Yes Man answer. I tried to click on the title Rom and it kept taking me to another forum page and nothing there showed the answer.
After several nasty you got be kidding stuff. I went to my phone and went on the site from my phone. When I clicked on the title Rom on the page it took me to the site where the download was. My browser on my computer was not working with the site.
If someone would have said that or said something like did you try clicking on the title using another browser it would have been nicer than all the nasty remarks I got.
I am new to this and I do not spend a lot of time reading the site as I am very busy working and raising a family. I love having the site and I love using the Rom's for my phones. I wish people would be nicer and not so arrogant.

Thank you for your post.
I believe one of the options here will help you properly report this:
http://www.xda-developers.com/contact/
Especially with the web issues you will want to report it.
Please also keep in mind if you are accessing behind a firewall that this too can affect your experience on the site.
Thank you!

Don't take this the wrong way. I honestly peruse as much as I can in the morning and then try to respond to what I can during the day. But 99% of the time I run out of time to reply so it's far more reading than typing.
If left on your own the other thing you can try to do is refine your search criteria. Try to get as specific as possible and include the device name or model. This may get you closer to the answer you're looking for as well.

Root lucid 1 was posted in the 'General' forum, not in Questions & Answers.
Lg lucid problems with fpse was posted correctly in the Q&A forum. However, there is no forum dedicated to this device, there is likely to be very little development for, or knowledge of, it as a result. Also, this post appears to be asking about ways to circumvent licence checks on a Playstation emulator - XDA does not exist to support any form of piracy, and you would be much better off asking these sort of questions somewhere else such as the emuparadise forums instead.
People aren't deliberately ignoring you but many, like me, will skim through the threads, click on anything that sounds unusual, and help if they can - if they can't that is another person who has viewed your thread, and with over 5 Million members that will happen quite frequently.
I think looking at the post and not replying isn't such a big deal, but i have been in the same situation where someone has time to type a condescending reply to try to make the person feel like crap, but not enough time to help with the answer except to say its in one or more of the 80 pages of the current thread.
so when I see a question that has been answered before and I know the answer I sometimes just takes the 30-45 seconds to quickly answer the question without bothering to point out that its been answered before.

And before saying the typical use the search function, have you guys actually tried it for specific answers? I really don't think you have.
It will take you to the right thread but not the right page. So its really pretty much useless.

It isn't perfect, but it's not that bad. Also, using Google to do the search and starting the search with
Code:
site:forum.xda-developers.com
will give a much more precise and accurate search result.
That info may come in very handy in the future. Thanks.

XDA is a Developers community, not a Tech Support Helpdesk. We are not here to teach you the basics of how to use your computer.
The suggestion of testing in another browser is something you should do by default if a website doesn't work properly.
We're happy to help newcomers, but there is a limit to every person's patience. This limit usually lies at the point where people show up on an advanced tech community and don't even know how to properly use bloody Google.com. And because this happens at least 40 times a day, that patience is stretched very thin for most.

The gear icon behind the search bar is Advanced Search. There you can select Posts for the result as opposed to threads. (bottom left.) This will list the individual posts.
And if you're in a thread, above the thread is another search bar: Search in this thread. This will show all the posts in that thread with the keywords you type in there.
It's not useless if you look for more than 3 seconds
I have used it lots if times, thanks.

You guys must remember,we all cant be jolly all the time, developers have jobs and families also, besides doing this for you guys for free, hours and hours and days, maybe weeks go by while trying to get the bugs out of a rom that everyone wants, while in the meantime, the guys boss or ole lady is yelling at them to get their ducks in a row and quit slacking, when all their trying to do is contribute to the community and make you happy, soo when a developer or some other forum contributor doesnt answer your question right away, its not you.Just be patient someone will eventually come along and answer it,also you need to remember alot of questions that are asked, can easily be google or searched here on the forum and you will find the answer yourself or figure it out on your own.Your right though at the same time,we shouldnt be grumpy towards people trying to fix something or learn.

The OnePlus 7T live wallpapers look absolutely beautiful from the YouTube review videos. Hope they get ported over to the 7 and 7 Pro!
People really need to stop making fishing threads like these.
If someone reads the title of your thread, IN the Themes, Apps and Mods forum, do you think they might, just maybe, think you're going to link to the wallpapers instead of just a pointless post saying you hope we MIGHT be able to get them?
