Im Posting Here Because I Need An App To Help Me Finalize My Theme. Something Like "7-Zip" But For Mac. I've Searched, Searched, And Searched.
So Basically Im Looking For An App For Mac OSX That Can Go Within An Archive And Change/Update Files Within It Without Extracting It.
I've Found "Better Zip" Which Claims I Can Edit/Update An Archive But I Have Not Been Able To Do So.
Thanks In Advance.

Nope. Sorry. Well doesn't it come with mac OS x? Just without Windows?
And the solution posted above won't work. The files should not be extracted. Unless there's an app that will let you package a bundle of files into an .apk within a .zip file. Which would work but I can't find a .apk compressor.
Thanks so far guys.
ooor you could make it into a zip and rename it to .apk...
Ive tried that.
extract the .apk, edit what i want, zip it up then rename it to myfile.zip to myfile.apk right?
thanks again for the help so far guys.

If you can extract the files, it seems like you dont need 7zip/WinRAR... Just drag the files you have edited overtop of the window of whatever program you used to extract. No?
im not exactly sure what you mean but from what i think your saying, no i cant just drag a file into the apk like i can on 7-zip
Ah yea, sorry, I used APK builder in the sdk :/
If you can, you could run windows/linux in a vm, then you should be able to pack em correctly.
Or ask a friend if he/she can do it for you

Well boot camp is free and included in Leopard/Snow Leopard but, you defenatelly have to buy Windows. I suggest going on ebay, buy a re-install dell disk for seven (they are around $20) and just temporaily use it for your needs until the 30 day trial expires. Or you can just buy it....

i have the disc. i came from windows about 7 mon. ago. horrible days but.....oh well.
I need these two files. If someone can put them on a filehost for me that would be really great. Cheers.
Are you not able to pull these from the OTA zip?
No they are just patch files. Once the OTA isntalls/patches the existing files then you can pull them with ADB or if you root the stock after OTA. I can only get the files from someone who has installed the OTA.
here
I don't have bootanimation.zip cause i used bsdiff to apply the srs_processing.cfg patch file and didn't actually update my tablet.
Thanks. That does indeed fix the balance issues. If anyone can supply bootanimation.zip as well I'll be sorted

You can apply the .p for bootanimation if you download and compile imgdiff2 on linux, don't seem to have a windows port unless you use cygwin or linux box.
bootanimation from 8.4.4.11

Hey all,
I recently had a mishap and ended up losing my wpa_supplicant file completely. I need one. I don't think it is device specific, so if someone has a rooted infuse and would be willing to share their's, I would be eternally grateful. I can't connect to wifi without it.
The file is in system/bin
Thank you so much.

All you have to do is unzip whichever ROM your using to your hard drive, then go into the system/bin folder on your hard drive and copy it from there.
I just can't find a way to extract what is in the .img files.
It's such a small file so shouldn't be hard to find.
Downloading it from the Play store does not resolve the issue
How can I re-acquire the needed .odex file and/or extract what I may need from the .img files?

Do you have a Backup of your system - if so restore your backup. If not google extract .img files and look for software.
No backup...I just need to find a way to extract the files from the .img files of which I did google but nothing useful came up

Why the hell is it impossible for someone to find a way to get such a small measly file to get this stupid update to go through!!
Which update are you trying to apply? You will need the pre-updated file. 4g updates were 3.2.4 and 3.2.6.

I'm on 3.2.4 and trying to update to whatever it's asking me to update it to.

you try flash the Stock 4G XOOM Firmware Download [4G|MZ602-HLK75D]
##PLEASE NOTE##
This file are from Motorola's Development site, I will not take liability with anything that happens with your device if something goes wrong.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH THIS FILE ON ANYTHING BUT THE VERIZON WIRELESS MOTOROLA XOOM Z602 (4G MODEL) OR YOU WILL HAVE A SHINEY PAPER WEIGHT!!!!
dungeondefenders.odex anyone?
Such a small file to find yet only option seems to flash...
Make a nandroid backup of your current setup...restore stock, pull file, restore backup. Or try just opening the img file with winrar.

Because that's the first thing you do when you are going to flash stuff. If you had done this the first time you wouldn't be in this situation.
