Question about titanium back up - Android Apps and Games

May be a stupid Q
How do i restore the account settings ( I mean my gmail and facebook )alone after a.new rom update.
I do not want to restore any other apps.

After TB loads goto the back/restore tab, click the app you want & restore (data only if the app is already installed). For Gmail you should have everything synced when you add your gmail acount to your phone.

[Q] How to migrate data to Nexus S

I need help
How I move my data in HTC Hero(GSM) such as SMS MMS Calendar to Nexus S
Calendar is synced in the cloud with google. but as far as SMS and MMS their are apps on the market that will do that for you.
App Data like game saves and app settings will be lost unless your hero is rooted and u can pull it off the /data/ portion

App Data = Titanium Backup (Recommend.. you get Pro if you don't have it already)

My Hero was rooted, but Nexus S didn't root, what best choice SMS+MMS backup app

There aren't really any good apps for restoring MMS from what I've searched. Most of the good ones say "MMS not supported" or "MMS restore not supported." Your best bet is using a root application such as Titanium Backup to restore all the MMS.
If you need to store sms in a safe place and don't need it on your phone you should hit the market and get sms backup. It wil take all your sms and store them to your gmail account in the event you need them.
Thank for SMS backup application name,I already backup&restore it.
I have one more question
which application that use for backup other data such as calendar, contact.
I want to use backup application, because I have some problem with calendar sync.
For this problem please look in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914930

Main account password - can't even access Market

I have the Nexus S and recently, I came under the suspicion that my Gmail was hacked. So I went on my computer and changed my Gmail password. But now, my phone has become a wreck. It cannot sync with my gmail, I can't even access the Market. I cannot seem to find a way to change the password on the phone to my current password for Gmail. Is there any way to do this without deleting the main account on the phone? I really do not want to reset my phone for simply needing to change my password...
Not to be a fun sponge but since its your primary device account you may be out of luck.

I would recommend using mybackup root to backup your call log, mms, sms (texts) and titanium backup root to backup your apps. Makes the reset hurt way less

I guess that's my only option. Can't believe Google has made it this much of a hassle for a simple password change. Thanks man.
No no dont hard reset for such an easy stuff!
Just pop in another sim card and for privacy the password will be removed, then insert the right one

If your phone is cdma and you cannot switch the sim card, you can just delete the gmail account settings from the application manager (i dont remember the english name), anyway, wiping for something like that, is like throwing an atomic bomb to kill mosquitoes

It won't let you delete the primary device account even if you have another gmail account attached. :-(

I am not sure in gingerbread, but in previous version was possible to let the system forget the account by just removing user data for something like "gmail archive" (not sure about english name)
And if you change the sim card, you have to reinsert the password, happened many times to me, annoying

Google talk only using default profile

I setup a Google account with a cc for the android Market and I think that was the first of a few accounts I added to my phone. That however isn't the account I want to use with the app "talk" (google chat). Is there any way to change the account talk uses?
I don't see an option
Thanks!

Factory wipe data ....then sign in the account u want to use talk with first then open talk. Then add the other accounts
Won't that erase everything?!

Yes but if u are rooted use titanium backup for all your apps beforehand then just restore them

Retreiving lost contacts on CM7.2

I recently followed all of the steps to flash cm7.2 from dragonzkiller and am having trouble restoring my contacts and basically any verizon services and/or apps. Also the only account that I can add is my Google account. I love the look and feel of this mod, however it's useless to me without being able to add all of my accounts and restore my contacts.

clone the N4 to n5?

any way to clone everything I have in Nexus4 to my brand new Nexus5 who supposedly will arrive tomorrow?
not only contacts and very few settings how can be duplicated using gmail, I think at everything: apps, calls, sms, settings, data, emails, ...
is Google providing any tools to, like other manufacturers do?
thanks for suggestions
Root N4 & N5. Backup everything on N4 using Titanium. Use Titanium Backup on N5 to restore/extract what you have backed up on the N4.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Use settings backup option
Then when you upgrade to N5 it will reinstall all your play apps after you put in your gmail account details
Use SMS Backup+ too
