Youtube on Mobile - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

Is there any 3rd party youtube app that can play videos that arent allowed on mobiles? ... this is really the most stupid thing ever ... i have to use my android-webbrowser in desktop mode to see them

did you try the browser skyfire (in desktop mode)?

Try JetVD
It's pretty simple to use. enter the name of the video and choose quality of video then tap play
So easy, so cool

thx a lot, totally what i was looking for!
now i just need an app that can download youtube videos as mp3 file (best would be to extract it from the flv file, so you dont have any quality loss and its very fast too - like flv extractor for pc did)

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.devian.tubemate.zinna&feature=search_result
or
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.aaa.tmdsb&feature=search_res
you mean something like that?

tubemate is crashing my music player .... and easytube doesnt crash my player but somehow the mp3 doesnt get shown in it ... i have to open the file via filemanager ...
any1 got this stuff working properly? i use this firmware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947613

here is the sibling of jetVD: jetConverter
I recommend to use this with video files downloaded by jetVD
OR
if you go to http://www.jetvd.com/ and you download the full (not lite) version for free, it'll support download directly in MP3 format
for a 6 min vid it downloaded a 11MB file, so I guess the bitrate could be around 128-196kbps

TCMP and youtube - flv plugin

i didn't see anyone posting this before - i just found out about this plugin, i tried it and it works! for all of you who are tired of converting flv to avi in order to watch it on your ppc, theres a solution. it also comes with utilities to ease the downloading of video from youtube.com, i tried, also works a charm. good luck, and thanks to the creators!
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=196939
I don't able to play the video:
I put the 3 files in the tcmp folder (in sd card)
I don't able to play the video on the you-tube page
and I don't able to play the video flv (downloaded by youtubedownload.exe) on the player
I run O.72 version with the plugin of 0.81
How you get it successfully?
thanks
Enough only to put the two files .flv in the root TCPMP.
With the others files you are able to download the tape directly on ppc, enough to launch YouTube Download on device..

you mean .plg files i assume. but right, that's what you should do. then also you can edit options>preferences>file associations in tcpmp so then you can launch tcpmp doubleclicking flv file (it is called flash video in options)
uvz: i don't know what's wrong - it works with tcpmp v. 0.71 - my plugin version is 0.2, have no idea how can i help :/
ok, I found the reason..
The 3 files I downloaded was all exe file (??)
I download the zip folder in other place and I found the correctly .plg files.
So now I can play the video on tcpmp, by downloading with the exe.
But I'm not able to stream video directly from you-tube page: it's normal?
I can only download the video and then play with tcpmp, or there are a possibility to open and play directly from the you-tube page by streaming with tcpmp?
Finnaly... I'm now able to play .flv files... horray!!!
I've copied the flv plugin to the TCMP folder and I think they're correctly installed. However when playing youtube vids, it connects to HTC Streaming Media which unfortunately doesn't run vids on my Kaisser.
Do I have to remove streaming Media so that youtube would connect to TCMP when vids are selected? How can I select streaming media into my TCMP?
Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
TCPMP streaming problems with WM6
I have an HTC touch cruise with wm6 and I am unable to stream flv files.
I have installed the TCPMP program and I think I installed tcpmp plugin 0.4.2.
When I install the plug in, do the files automatically install themselves in the TCPMP root file??? and how are they identified.
It shows in my settings/system/Remove programs , the TCPMP and TCPMP plugin are both installed Could some one please post step by step install instruction or direct me to one .
Thanks

FINALLY, YOUTUBE video for pocket pc

Theres a beta program to play youtube video on pocket pc. Theres two parts, a program to download youtube video by pocket pc or pc. A TCPMP plugin to play FLV files directly on pocket pc. Heres the link to the zip folder. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=196939
very nice i will try it
How do u use this do u put the link to the video in the video id spot and then it will download it?
Flv file, and splitter
what i did was copied the flv file and flv splitter file, put it in the folder with the tcpmp. Go to settings/file associations and check flash video.
Can anyone tell me why tcpmp won't install for me for some reason? lol.. it doesnt give me a reason .. it just says it was unsuccessful.
plugin files
the plugin files are only supported by the TCPMP player. The new one called " The Core Player " does'nt support the plugin files. For those of you who dont know there is a difference between the tcpmp and the core player. I dont know what the diffrence is, but this program is for the latest FREE tcpmp player, not the paid version which is called The Core Player. Hopes this helps.
Thanks Bro i really need it
I Confirm
This program works 100% on my MDA. Here is my tutoral: 1. go to www.youtube.com and pick a video. 2. find the url box, highlight and copy just the video id at the of the url. 3. Now go to the youtube for pocket pc program and paste the video id in the box provided. 4. select which folder you want to download the video to. ( I made a new folder and name it youtube videos.) 5. click the start button and voila, it starts to download. This took almost 10 minute
to download. 6. make sure you install the Flv plugin files in your TCPMP folder. 7. go to settings/ file association/ and check flash video. 8. when the video finish downloading, go to the folder you selected to have your videos and click the video to play. I have not tested this over wifi yet, and also the PDA youtube program downloaded the video to my main memory.
jus so u kno...theres already 2 (or more) other threads on this
great find anyway

Flash Video Bundle / Adobe flash Player

I have both these programs on my TC, but I can't see any videos! I know that IE has to be used to use adobe, but it switches to opera when I go to youtube, and it says I need the flash player. Then I read about this blueray high def mobile player on another thread so I put that on too. Didn't do a damn thing. Can anyone tell me the problem and if it will work how to make a cube button to open it??
You need the TCPMP player installed first. Then install the flash bundle in the same place where you installing the TCPMP player, that is storage card or the main memory for both.
Now go to the YouTube site using PIE and click on a video link. The TCPMP player should start playing. In fact for this procedure you really don't need the Adobe flash.

How to save youtube files?

Is there a legal and easy way to save youtube flv files?
In symbian I used the emtube player, is there a way to do this in windows mobile?
I use the Flash Video Bundle. When you install it, it directs all Youtube URLs to TCPMP. Before the player starts, you have the option to save the video, but it saves it as a file and you can't watch the video while it's downloading.
It's not elegant but it works. Ideally I'd like to use a program that records while streaming.
have you tried W.V.D. search for it on here its called Web Video Downloader.
youtubeplay

Movie player

Hi guys,
just got a HP touchpad. now is there a video player on here? and if its there what format do they have to be in to view it. have tried a couple of different ones and cant get them up.
Is there a player app i can download onto it at all ?
thanks
there is a photos & videos app built in, but it's pretty poor for video.
you need to add your video files to the root of the built in storage (the tablet installs onto your computer as a removable drive).
i still haven't got my head around the video file support just yet, but it doesn't seem to handle .avi, divx, xvid etc.
mp4 seems to be the main format.
there are a couple of apps for streaming videos from a upnp media server, but nothing free as far as i can tell.
kalemsoft media player seems to be the best of these as it lets you load video files from the local storage on your tablet as well as browse for remote stuff.
i have successfully played an avi file using this app.
i've only tried the demo version so far which requires internet access in order to assess the trial period.
i don't particularly want to purchase the paid version just yet.
I used Handbrake and followed the instructions here: http://forums.precentral.net/hp-tou...n-resources/287212-handbrake-preset-dvds.html I just tried a short 45 minute kids dvd to see if it would work okay. It was about a 400mb file. Placed it in a folder called Videos on the root of the usb partition and it shows up fine in the Photos and Videos app.

see i tried doing that as well. creating a folder called videos on the root and it wasn't detected.
only when i added the file direct to root could i access it.
are directory names case sensitive?
a video player that allows you to browse and/or add directories would be much better.
EDIT: looks like i had a folder called video. changed it to videos and it shows up.
strangely enough kalemsoft creates a folder recordings. when i added a video file to that, it also showed up.
I have put my videos in the download folder and they show up in the stock player fine. Also converted DIVX avi files to MP4 with Handbrake. Used the ipad HD settings for nice quality.
Kalemsoft Media Player wil read a lot of video formats , you can find it on app catalog.
The kalemsof that i downloaded isnt displaying in full screen and sometimes will hang on my TP. Guess its still not compatible to TP yet?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA

Thanx for the tip about Handbrake, nunja. I'll try it for conversions. I concur with the settings...
I'm on a Pre 2 and have no problems with mp4 playing (once you get the settings down it becomes rote). For my phone I use iPod settings...
For ripping from DVD I use DVDFab3 - I know there are way newer versions out there and I tried them but always go back to version 3. I just like the UI and it has never let me down. Point it at a DVD or ISO and under Mobile click Generic. You can configure it for generic mp4 and get a resolution up to 848x480 which should be alright on the TP screen. Your settings like Resolution, bitrate, volume level, subpicture - can all be saved as a profile.
DVDFab3 in a .rar file. Just extract and it will run out of the folder without install...
