How to save youtube files? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Is there a legal and easy way to save youtube flv files?
In symbian I used the emtube player, is there a way to do this in windows mobile?

I use the Flash Video Bundle. When you install it, it directs all Youtube URLs to TCPMP. Before the player starts, you have the option to save the video, but it saves it as a file and you can't watch the video while it's downloading.
It's not elegant but it works. Ideally I'd like to use a program that records while streaming.

have you tried W.V.D. search for it on here its called Web Video Downloader.

TCMP and youtube - flv plugin

i didn't see anyone posting this before - i just found out about this plugin, i tried it and it works! for all of you who are tired of converting flv to avi in order to watch it on your ppc, theres a solution. it also comes with utilities to ease the downloading of video from youtube.com, i tried, also works a charm. good luck, and thanks to the creators!
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=196939
I don't able to play the video:
I put the 3 files in the tcmp folder (in sd card)
I don't able to play the video on the you-tube page
and I don't able to play the video flv (downloaded by youtubedownload.exe) on the player
I run O.72 version with the plugin of 0.81
How you get it successfully?
thanks
Enough only to put the two files .flv in the root TCPMP.
With the others files you are able to download the tape directly on ppc, enough to launch YouTube Download on device..

you mean .plg files i assume. but right, that's what you should do. then also you can edit options>preferences>file associations in tcpmp so then you can launch tcpmp doubleclicking flv file (it is called flash video in options)
uvz: i don't know what's wrong - it works with tcpmp v. 0.71 - my plugin version is 0.2, have no idea how can i help :/
ok, I found the reason..
The 3 files I downloaded was all exe file (??)
I download the zip folder in other place and I found the correctly .plg files.
So now I can play the video on tcpmp, by downloading with the exe.
But I'm not able to stream video directly from you-tube page: it's normal?
I can only download the video and then play with tcpmp, or there are a possibility to open and play directly from the you-tube page by streaming with tcpmp?
Finnaly... I'm now able to play .flv files... horray!!!
I've copied the flv plugin to the TCMP folder and I think they're correctly installed. However when playing youtube vids, it connects to HTC Streaming Media which unfortunately doesn't run vids on my Kaisser.
Do I have to remove streaming Media so that youtube would connect to TCMP when vids are selected? How can I select streaming media into my TCMP?
Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
TCPMP streaming problems with WM6
I have an HTC touch cruise with wm6 and I am unable to stream flv files.
I have installed the TCPMP program and I think I installed tcpmp plugin 0.4.2.
When I install the plug in, do the files automatically install themselves in the TCPMP root file??? and how are they identified.
It shows in my settings/system/Remove programs , the TCPMP and TCPMP plugin are both installed Could some one please post step by step install instruction or direct me to one .
Thanks

Problems opening youtube videos

hello all,
i have the htc polaris(touch cruise) and i installed the flashvideobundle and the TCPMP player for playing youtube video's because the streaming media player isn't so good..the first time i opend a video it was played by the TCPMP player but now its opening with the streaming video player...i looked in the option etc.. but i can't see a way to open the videos with the TCPMP player..
reinstalled bundle and core player and still it opens with streaming video player.
Does anyone have an idea how to do this.
thanks
In TCPMP going to Options->Settings, Select page->File associations and marking Flash video checkbox might help..
Do you actually browse the full desktop version of youtube or do you use the mobile version?
Clips from the mobile version are NOT flv (=flash) files but 3GP video files which always open in streaming media. Use the "Video Sites" shortcut in your startmenu to navigate to youtube. If you still end up at the mobile version, see at the very bottom, there should be a link saying something like "take me to the desktop version." It should work that way.

i used to have the same problem than yours it was my provider sfr that blocks streaming in daylimotion and whan i connect with wifi all works.
I have the same problem. TCMP (with flash-video-bundle) doesnt start if I click a video at http://m.youtube.com. I tried several options, but it didnt help.

Because videos on m.youtube.com are NOT FLASH VIDEO FILES, they are re-encoded to 3gp format. Every cellphone with GPRS, even the most stupid Nokia and Motorola can play 3gp files off m.youtube.com.
Go to http://www.youtube.com/?nomobile=1 with Pocket Internet Explorer, Opera doesnt work.
If it still doesnt work: uninstall the FlashBundle, softreset, reinstall the FlashBundle (be sure to use the lastest version from their homepage) and it'll work.
Again:
m.youtube.com = stupid for all cellphones, NOT the same as regular youtube, almost no movies, re-encoded to 3gp by youtube
Opera doesnt work, it doesnt support the FlashBundle plugin
I suggest to unset Opera as default browser and then use the Video Sites shortcut in your Programs menu.

Youtube links

Is it possible that when a youtube link is posted that when clicking it in opera it doesn't just open the page in youtube but instead opens the video in the youtube app so you can actually watch the video since opera doesn't play embeded videos, unless I've missed an app for this.
im also looking for the same thing, does anyone know how?
This has been asked for time and time again, and there's never been a way to do it. I used to love the way that IE would open the YouTube app when you tried to play a YouTube video, but now I use Opera 10 and watch YouTube vids directly on the page they're on, in full screen. It's perfect. If you can get used to the click-to-zoom and back-to-zoom-out idea, Opera 10 is loads better than 9.7, and plays most flash files (once plugins are turned on).
Actually it is Possible.
I have been doing this for a long time in my hd2.
It doesnt work from a www.youtube.com link. The trick is to use the built in opera browser and open the youtube mobile site at m.youtube.com. just click on any of the thumbnail images of the video and the htc youtube app kicks in and plays it in the proper quality not in 3gp quality of the youtube mobile site !!!
you can also convert any normal youtube video link to mobile youtube link by changing the www into w in the link!
it works like a charm!!!

That's obviously only good for if you're on the YouTube site though. It doesn't help for video posted on other sites, as in links to YouTube. I'd still tell everyone who uses YouTube to get Opera 10. It's great!

yes. You are right. an alternative is tap and hold link in opera and open in new tab and edit "www" to "m".
The thing is with opera 10 direct youtube play the video quality is very blocky!
this gives a much cleaner playback.
I have an idea for any devs to develop a small program to translate the desktop youtube link to mobile youtube link on the fly. kind of an intermediate app which captures the link from opera 9.7 translate the link and pass that to the native youtube app! that would be cool!

CorePlayer 1.3.6 (7427) suddenly cannot play YouTube

Hi,
I have suddenly encountered the problem. I can search for videos but when I open the video to watch, at first I get the YouTube logo top bar in the player, and the "Loading" symbol, but these disappear after 3-4 seconds and nothing happens. I tried this on many videos. I haven't touched the settings on the player, and until a week ago I was watching YouTube videos without any problems.
Any ideas what can be wrong?
I have the same problem. At first i thought i did something wrong.I reinstalled application, then afterwards i even had a change of Rom and windows 6,5 reinstalled, then installed 1.3.6 version, nothing does not work on youtube.
Maybe youtube changed something?Should i send an email to the creators of the program?I am a registered user of it.
It is annoying as i would want to view youtube with my mobile.
Ya! My coreplayer cannot play the videos on youtube too. It displays sth like FFFFFFF(error code). Can sbd help us?
It's YouTube's fault. They are again changing something about the way their videos are encoded. No idea why.
The guy who created mVu Mobile Viewer - bik2000 - said so, when I asked him why I was unable to play YouTube videos from his program (which launches CorePlayer anyway).
I guess/hope that when the change YouTube are doing is final, CorePlayer will be released in a new version, which will once again be able to play the videos. Till then, the only option is to first download the video, then play it in CorePlayer or TCPMP.

Cool app thanks
Well, until the CorePlayer issue is resolved, I'm using YouTube application to watch youtube vids on my PPC. I'm finding it very neat and I love it even more than CorePlayer.
This is how you get it:
From PIE (not from NetFront Browser or Opera).
Go to: m.youtube.com/app
Wait a moment and the .CAB download will start.
Install and enjoy.
I tried going to the link using NetFront Browser 4.0 and Opera 10 and I was directed to a page that says my device is not supported. So it seems you only have to use pocket IE to download the application.

¿Working Youtube Downloader?

Hey Xda community,
I can not find a working YouTube downloader application. I've scoured the web. I've been through countless searches of 'best Youtube downloader app's for android' articles. Not one works.
There's got to be one that works out there somewhere and I figure Xda is the absolute best place to ask.
Has anyone found a working downloader app? Maybe a browser extension or add on? Would love to hear...
I'm using a cheaper Samsung with no root possibilities running android Q
Thank you
Yes, it is a little bit difficult to find a working youtube video downloader for a mobile phone. Maybe you can use your computer to download YouTube videos instead.
There are a couple online ones that work for free.
Here's one:
YouTube to Mp3 Music Converter - YTMP3
YTMP3 is free YouTube to mp3 converter. It helps you convert and download youtube videos to mp3 or mp4 files for free. YTMP3 is the best Youtube mp3 downloader.
ytmp3.cc
You can use arktube, download it from browser then buy lisence from play store or just use the free version
Here's another free one:
MPG to MP4 Converter: Convert MPG Video to MP4 Video (Free)
Convert your MPG files to MP4 video.
www.onlineconverter.com
I recommend MiniTool uTube Downloader in this regard. It's 100% free and easy to use.
In youtube app, i believe there is a button to download the video to play it locally on youtube app, unless you want to download it as mp4
