Just got the Gtablet from woot, and so ready to root it.
Any suggest on which rom is the best so far? Will Honeycomb sooner or later be put on this?

There are none yet, and you still need the recovery, but fear not, Koush just released the Droid 2 bootstrap on the Market and on his site.
Hey all,
I purchased a UK WiFi Only Xoom today, its running 3.0.1 im wondering what the best way is and what method I should use to go up to the most stable 3.2 ROM that is overclocked?
If you have a link to the best guide to follow or any suggestions please post them.
Thanks!
Well if it were me, I'd firsts change the region to US that way you'll always be up to date.
Here's the URL (copy into browser): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1166106
Looks like a decent guide and once you get done with this, you can start flashing up to date roms and whatnot.
Hope this helps
Well first off claim your free keyboard, best to do that now before you mess your xoom up changing regions. motorolaxoompromotion.co.uk . Then root and go with hammerhead from team tiamat, they really are the best for making one flashable update for everyone! If you are new to android search and read about all this first!
Excuse typos, I'm on my phone
Edit: and when I say mess your xoom up, I mean it has to be done from a stock UK zoom, I did it by changing user agents in Firefox, as outlined by another thread here, but to do it now would be easiest.
I recently got a XOOM (U.S. WIFI-only) in July. It came shipped with 3.0.1
Within a day, it got updated to 3.1
and within about a week it went to 3.2
I wish to root my XOOM and eventually put on TIAMAT 2.1
When I go to the XDA forum it seems I need to get to "stock" 3.1 first.
I am guessing that this means I need to do a factory reset on my XOOM
to get back to 3.0.1 then do the update to 3.1
Once I am able to do this I should be able to follow their instructions
and root my device. Is this correct?
On a related matter, if someone were to purchase a XOOM now and it came
with 3.2, would they be unable to root the device?
Thanks.

Hey there! No need to go to downgrade or anything any longer if you would like to root. Team Tiamat themselves have released a universal rooting tool that will root any Xoom regardless of the country it came from, model, or Honeycomb version. It can be found here.
Also: You might want to check out my Xoom Heaven thread after you are rooted. It would be perfect for a new Xoom rooter. You can find the link in my sig below, or by going here.
Good luck!
Can you get Tiamat 2.1 when you have stock 3.2? Or does the stock ROM not matter at all since it's getting replaced?

You cannot do that until you gain root access first. That's how you get there in the first place: a stock rooted Rom.
So, no.. the stock Rom does not matter. As long as you have root access on it, all is well.
diablo2224,
You are a life saver! Prior to my post I spent a couple of hours going through all
the posts of rooting the xoom in this article:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1170760
It was here I felt the need to understand what "stock" meant -- however, when I
registered I was told that I cannot post to that thread
So I posted here.
I checked out your Xoom Heaven and was blown away! Great Job!
After I submitted my post, I thought to myself that after I rooted my Xoom I would
put together something like what you have done -- looks like you beat me
to it. Bravo!
It looks like you put a lot of work into it ... so I feel extra lucky that somehow you
found the time to even read my question.
Thanks again.

Hey, no problem! It's what I do around here. Glad you got it all sorted out, and yes... Xoom Heaven is a lot of work indeed. I'm nowhere near finished, but as it stands I have made great progress.
Of course I read your question. When I'm not working on something I'm looking around for people to help out. Cheers!
Also: Since I am in charge of Xoom Heaven... feel free to ask me any root questions, or anything else Xoom related on my thread there. I'll be happy to do my best to assist you.
Got my Xoom tablet back after the whole Motorola LTE upgrade. Looking to root and put on a nice custom ROM. But I'm afraid that the current ROMs may not work with 4G, and keep me at 3G.
Do any of the current ROMs work? Or do I have to wait for one based off Android 3.2.2?
I know there's a stock 3.2.2 ROM, but I wanted to finally be able to use my OTG cable.
dont do it... i'm still trying to get my 3g/4g/wifi back right now... so many issues in doing so... wait for a stable release
That's what I wanted to know before doing this. Thanks a bunch. Hopefully the devs will have something good for us soon.

lol. more importantly, i hope the devs figure out how to fix my screw up... i dont wanna use up another warranty claim.
I have rooted my Xoom after received it back from Motorola but i have not find a nice custom rom yet, if anyone find one please report back.
Thanks a lot
I think a lot of the devs are holding off and waiting on ICS to be released, at least I know that's what they're doing with the Tiamat ROM.
Hi everyone
I got this nice tablet Efun Nextbook NX007HD8G that has Android 4.1.1 and I wanted to install a custom rom for it but I can't find anything here about this tablet, I have seen a very few threads about it and nothing about installing a custom rom into it.
I'm very beginner in these stuff so if you y'all can help me install a custom rom then I would really appreciate it.
I have this tablet (just got it yesterday. Have you had any feedback yet that hasn't been posted to this thread about the files you provided and the rooting process on this tablet? I'm hesitant to be the first one to try it. Is there a way to test this out prior to actually going through with it? Thank you.

Hey! sadly I'm still looking and still can't find any way to install a custom rom, I don't want to try anything so I won't break my tablet.
As for rooting, well I tried 360 Perm root which works on Samsung Galaxy J1 (2015) but it didn't work on this tablet however I found this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2564609
And I'm not sure if it works 100% or not because I haven' tried it yet.
