I accidentally installed the 2d gallery using liberty toolbox and now I can't get rid of it. EVERYWHERE that I've tried to uninstall, it just removes my 3d gallery. Once that one is gone, I can't find the 2d one in any of the lists to uninstall it. I'm trying to fix this without having to reflash my rom, just bc that's kind of a pain now that everything else is set up the way I want it.

just reflash without wiping should solve ur problems, and as ur not wiping data ur data wont be removed
or use root explorer, system/app mount as r/w delete the 2d gallery
also not to be mean but did you reboot sometimes you need to so stuff with show up right after deleting stuff

Well i have got this strange situation here...
Basically a few days back i've downloaded some download manager from the market and it doesn't work!!
so i go to the uninstall app and just uninstall it... next i want to change my home so inorder to clear the default Sense UI Home set on my HTC TATTOO I go to the manage applications and it force closes!! and when i go to market i'm not able to download any app...it says DOWNLOAD NOT SUCCESSFUL!!
this is really annoying and after that i find out that my browser is also not able to download anything... so i'm not able to do anything....please can anyone help me out???
Thanks in advance!!
Have you tried a battery pull?
yeah it doesn't work....

Sounds like the app had rights it shouldn't have. What was the name of the download manager?
If I were you I would backup all your the you've downloaded and then do a factory reset, maybe try wiping the cache first before you do it though.
I assume you're not rooted? Otherwise this would be an easy fix.
Name was...Download Service!
I did reset to factory defaults...now everything is working fine...and yeah I've rooted my phone...
Can you please tell me the best way to backup data

for some reason the last 3 apps i've installed all FC on me. at least 2 were from the market. prior to this i've installed a ton of apps from the market and TB.
open maps, movies, yelp.
i managed to install yelp after i uninstalled movies. not sure why that mattered. i actually got the FC message but then it went away. movies still didn't install correctly. i've completely removed open maps.
i've heard fixing permissions in cwr can work but i've screwed up my phone on a prior rom doing that so i'm really weary of using it. also, why would i need to fix permissions if it's a new install?
Update: fixing permissions did nothing. Does clearing dalvik do anything?

Clear cache and dalvik and try again. If you still have problems, then reflash your ROM on top of your existing ROM without wiping anything. If you still have problems after doing this, then backup your apps/app data with Titanium and then do a full wipe (system, data, cache; everything). Then reinstall your ROM, then install Titanium and restore your apps (do not restore system settings; only restore apps and app data).
Sorry didn't finish reading it but do what Henry said

Nope. I just flashed a different ROM which didn't have these issues.

That works too.
I got it to install after uninstalling the old then rebooting, but i get fc's when trying to play music. Anyone else have better luck than me? Im on prime 2.02 btw. Oh and to get it to sync you have to clear data once or twice until it asks you to sync your gmail acct.
Doesn't work... Apparently its honeycomb in general, I checked the Xoom and Galaxy Tab forums and they're having the same FC problems as we are.

I did, it's pretty nice...the layout of the playlist (if you have less that 5) is kind of weird...It looks a lot like the old one, but smaller icons and text...
latest Prime if that helps anybody...
i have the same problem, fc when trying to play music.....now the question : has someone get the original HC music apk to revert to the first one ? Just to avoid revert to nandroid or reinstall rom...thanks
Here it is. Pulled this out of Revolution rom. I think you will have to uninstall the ICS app and then reinstall the stock app with Titanium Backup in order for it to work.
Work around for the FC's, just hit shuffle all and profit
Wouldn't exactly call that a workaround... yes, you can shuffle, but anything else is still causing forced closes.

thanks a lot Getlaid, but i didn't manage to install it using titanium back up......(i'm using the free version), and a normal installation abort.....
Try deleting /system/app/Music2.apk with a root capable file explorer like ES File Explorer or Root Explorer, reboot, and then replace with the stock Music2.apk
Thanks! I think the power is in the reboot! Worked nicely afterwards.

I got it to install, but I don't see the login option in settings for music beta. (
Edit: fixed by clearing data, force stop, then launch.
Hello,
i have a small problem, i have HTC Desire running Reflex S and i remove some system apps using Root App Remover but the two apps are annoying me they are called Locations and the Wise Pilot. Locations are getting back after normal restart and the WisePilot i cant remove beacuse i cant find it. Any suggestions ?
Thx.
I would advise you to use Titanium Backup it has a lot more features then just removing apps and has a lot of work put into it but if the app is coming back upon rebooting the phone just freeze the app so it doesnt show up your apps list and is not visible or usable.
Hope this helps.
thx man, but where is the WisePilot stored or how i can freeze it, it does not show in TitaniumBackup
You might be able to remove it with root explorer go to /system/app and delete apk file and reboot

ok but the the question is what is the filename i sholuld know to find it, otherwise there is no problem with searching the file
edit //: solved aj freeze the apps that i do not need, system is now fast
please lock
So here's the case- I used the zero camera mod, and don't have a recovery backup before that point, although I have made a backup copy of the two files, which the mod replaces. Now I want to restore the original camera app, but I can't.
Here is what I have tried:
Manual replacement with root explorer, after setting the right permissions, and the app just disappeared from drawer. After that, tried wiping cache and dalvik-didn't help.
So next thing-replaced my original files with those from the zerocam zip and flashed them, again with wiping caches and fixing permissions, and again no luck....
Any ideas why the s##t isn't working, like it's supposed to, and how to get back the original camera app? I've done such things thousands of times on other phones, without any problems, and can't figure out what's the problem here....

Boot into recovery and replace the files through adb. You cant replace system apps while the system is running, in most cases.
Tried with the file manager of trwp - again, the app just disappeared... Fixing permissions and wiping caches didn't help either...
