Tap Tap Revenge 4 Premium Tracks Import - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

So since the new Tap Tap Revenge 4 came out recently. I would like to know how to import Premium Tracks onto the Android.
When I used my iPhone before, I went to this link (http://xsellize.com/topic/49557-official-tap-tap-revenge-premium-track-packs/) and basically downloaded the songs I want and installed the Themes in themes folders and the Songs in the song folder.
Anyways, I used that link and put the downloaded files into their respective folders; but I still can't get the songs to show up in TTR4. So I was wondering if anyone has a reason why or is there need to be someone who has to convert all the songs to be Android compatible?

Bump for the same question

Yes, I'd also like to know.

wrong.. sorry

Bump. Thanks for the support guys.

Not true. Pitbull's song Bon Bon, the free track I downloaded off the Internet has a .m4c. The only thing different is the XML files on Android TTR4 songs.

i guess i jumped to conclusion. i compared 1 song and assumed the others are all the same

So is there a way to convert plist to xml? seems that is all we might need to do

I am interested stay tuned. the problem is in the file .xml

Tried online plist to xml converters...all failed. And also i checked the formats of the 2 files, the plist has a completely different set of codes compared to the xml. i doubt any convertion wud be possible, myt aswell put up a thread for ttr4 for android.

Free Song .
Ok Than What W Going To Do ?

so i was able to convert the taptrack.ttr2_track to xml and add it to the track folder, but the track folder on my phone doesnt include the info.plist, i found where it should go..
the info.plist location is:
data/data/com.tapolous.taptaprevenge4/files/tracks/*track folder*
and for the taptrack.ttr2_track and artowork:
sdcard/android/data/com.tapolous.taptaprevenge4/files/tracks/*track folder*
but if you compare the info.plist you downloaded and the original from one of the song that came with the app, you'll see it is different and the one you downloaded looks corrupt. if anyone knows how to convert it to normal XML we will be able to play those songs for free

Then I suppose the only thing to do is to have a copy of every tracks a user downloaded in his Android then uploads it, just like people give those premium tracks when TTR hasn't got to Android, right?

It's no need to convert it in wav.Mp3 format is also fine: just copy it in windows folder.

G-Alarm
The application that i like to use on my TG01 is G-alarm. I think i got it off the marketplace.
anyway you pay £5 one time only and then its yours, ive also managed to re-install it onto other phones i have using my key.
this is by far the best alarm which you can set to ask you upto 16 questions to switch it off
just a good idea so you dont go back to sleep or forget
and just to add to this, referring back to your mp3s, G-alarm will be able to use them as long as they are saved onto your SD card!

[Q]Best free music download app on Android

I'm wondering what app ppl are using to download mp3's on theory android devices. I've been using gtunes but am starting to see it not finding mainstream music. Also not thrilled with its permissions.
What's the best app for downloading free music?

I doubt you will get too much help with that here, seeing as most of those apps are legally questionable... not sure that helps

Thanks, i used to use that too. I have been using gtunes but i think more often than not it doesnt find what im looking for, which is mainstream. I have since downloaded "Free Music Download" (orange icon white headphones as the icon) and it works better.
I've discovered a method of using the web browser xscope to download the music files via mediafire or megupload. In Google type, site:mediafire.com (artist name) (album name). Packages usually come in the form of .zip or .rar files but also as .Mp3 for single files. Pick the link of the files you want and allow it to finish downloading. You will need a .zip and/.rar expander to reveal the .Mp3 files in the album. I use the app, android zip.UnzipLite and unrar, both found in the market. You will need to navagate your SD card to find the files located in the xscope download folder with one of the two applications. Place files into the media/audio folder on your SD. I hope you guys try this out it works quite well for me and never really have to worry about syncing to get a new album on my phone.

Cracked Tap Tap revenge 4 song!!!

Successfully cracked the file Bruno Mars - Somewhere In Brooklyn
Note to users: I am not responsible if you wreck your device. If you do this properly, chances of breaking your device is ZERO!
Credits to: motsach89(he shared his tap tap song)
I have cracked this file to run on any android phone.
Tools needed :
1)Root access on phone
2)Root explorer or (any root level access file explorer)
Download this file: http://www.google.com
Then unzip the file into any location
Copy folder brunomars.ttrTheme into [sdcard/android/data/com.tapulous..../files/Themes]
Copy folder inside tracks into [sdcard/android/data/com.tapulous..../files/Tracks]
Lastly, using root explorer, copy the folder in [data/data/com.tapulous..../files/tracks]
This data/data/com.tapulous folder can only be found if you press the "..." in root explorer all the way untill it disappears.( Also known as the parent folder)
Open tap tap and play the song!
Thks to the person who bought and supplied the song. But without cracking, we cannot use it straightaway...
For generous people, please share your songs for others to use. Send me the data file, theme and track so that i can crack it and upload.
Status:
Done:
Song: Somewhere in Brooklyn by Bruno Mars
In Progress:
Song: Pon de Replay by Rihanna
Currently mising theme files
Song: Nobody by Wonder Girls

hello did any1 try it yet? ppl seem to miss this thread...
downloading try asap. XD
cant we use the version of TTR on iphone? they say that we just need to convert a file to xml. (>.<)
nope i think it is unconvertible, the format for the code is different. If you see, iphone has a info.plist but we have xml file, and our info.plist is inside the data/data... at root.
By the way both plist and xml can be renamed in to txt files and edited. I opened the android and the ios ver, i noticed a huge difference in the code. The IOS has a long continuous key while android has many sub keys.
well.. the TTR on android is different from iphone version. the tapping doesnt affect song.
oh yeah. the result.. its working! thanks a lot. hope too see more lists of songs.
actually it is the xml file that contains the taps.
And I would need people to share their songs with me
Enjoy.
Is there any other way without using root?
no warez.

2.3.4 ROMs and Music tags

Has anyone figured out the problem with AAC encoded mpa files and the tags. I'm seeing the same problem in all 2.3.4 ROMs. No music program (stock, Google Music, doubletwist, PowerAmp, etc...) will read the tags from any mpa file. MP3 files work fine. I've tried Apex 7.2, Continuum 6 RC1, and AtomicFusion 1.0. I've tried the Samsung 2.3.3 ROM and Cog 5 Beta 2, both of which work correctly. Is it because the 2.3.4 ROMs are I9000 and the 2.3.3 ROMs are Captivate specific? I don't think I'm the only one.

I had this same issue once upon a time (and whenever I reload my music files back to my phone) and what's happening here is there's a blank album artist tag in the file our something like that. I fixed the issue by loading all of the problem files into a program called mp3tag and going into extended tags and deleting the offending tag.after I did that my phone recognised all of my tags. I'm not near my computer now, but I can tell you more information later in the day, but you may be able to find the problem tag just by playing with the file

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I just find it weird that 2.3.4 ROMs as a whole will not read the tags from mpa files while the 2.3.3 ROMs work fine. MP3 files work fine with both versions of gingerbread.

I just tried using this program and I still couldn't get it to work. All my trouble is coming with my AAC/MP4 files which were encoded via itunes. The album artist fields are blank on all of them so using mp3tagger I created an "action" that would copy the artist info into the album artist field. This didn't solve the problem. There is nothing that I can delete where it would seem to change anything. I'm kinda lost here on what to try next.

I tried using Media Monkey to convert a few AAC files into mp3 files. The phone read the new files without error. I think there is a glitch with the base Android OS.

Sigh. I was hoping to avoid this. Thanks for testing and confirming.
Makes me wonder if the issue is android or samsung based (as in an issue with their code).

Take one of the problem files and right click on it and look at the extended tags, you should see a blank album artist tag, or band tag or something like that (may not even be blank as some were in my case!). Take note of all the extraneous tags, select all of the problem files and go back into extended tags and just delete all the tags you don't need to classify your music -- That should fix it
--I don't have much access to my computer from here but I just tried what I did before and I believe it has to do with the 'album artist' tag with a space. Just looking at one file you might not be able to see it, you have to select the entire range for it to show up under extended tags
sadly have the same problem. im trying media monkey now. i accidently made a whole bunch of songs he same album

That may work for the artist field but the title, track, genre, etc are all still screwy. The only field that is read correctly is album. I just find it so odd that these files were fine with Eclair, Froyo and Gingerbread 2.3.3

[Q] mp3 to ogg app and batch installer

Ok, I'm looking for an app that can convert mp3 to ogg format. I know I can get (and have) programs for windows which can do this but I want an app which does and it's be awesome if there's one which will insert it to the appropriate place, eg, to the ringtone folder on the phone. I doubt the latter part had been done (mostly out of cynicism) but it would be nice to have instead of having to use a file explorer and manually copying it.
The second is a batch app installer which doesn't bug me for confirmations with every app. It's annoying. I want a one-click batch installer. One click and install and only stops to bug me if there's a error.
For a one click batch installer buy the pro key for titanium backup. That lets you skip the confirm screens.

Also Rom Toolbox by jrummy. Batch backup / restore with a TON of other features. Everything from file manager with root permissions, build prop editor, performance tweaks, font and battery icon changer, CM7 theme downloader, and so on. Great tool and I think it's like 3 or 4 bucks, last I checked.

Thanks, I figured out that titanium can do it, I had never mucked much with it. I have the free version of ROM tool box, I'll have to look at it a little closer as well. So much to do, so little time and energy.
Good old double posting. Anyhow, so one down one to go. I would at least like an mp3 to ogg app. I tried to convert some on my own and the files when played with any normal audio player have sound but when I put them in the ringtone and notification directory and restarted the files actually didn't play.

Not an app but i know there's website you can go to, upload the mp3, and download the ogg. Could do that on your phone.

Yeah if they're not working altogether then it could be something else. I've used the sites to convert to ogg and then I copy over to the system folders audio with ES Explorer. Works just fine for me.
