How was your Costco Xoom Wifi Packaged? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I just bought the wifi xoom from costco. The lady came out of the warehouse with a box already open. The gelcase was on the bottom of everything in the box. I didn't have a quickstart guide or anything. I don't think my Xoom was used or anything but just wondering if others are experiencing the same? I don't like to be handed an opened box.

I would be sketched out..maybe an employee was eager or thought it was a display model. As long as there I'd no one hairline scratch on that bad boy

yeah I returned my first xoom due to dead pixels and got my new one today, both were open since costco had to manually put that case inside there. No where else gives you the free case.

My box was sealed with two round pieces of tape on either long side and a big piece of white tape with a barcode on the short side
The case was sealed in a bag in the bottom of the box. And the xoom had all paperwork etc. And plastic on the screen.
Mine also has a dead pixel or screen issue in the corner so i have to exchange too Its RIGHT under the "back" button placement, so its really easy to notice in normal use.
OP, seems like someone got fresh with your Xoom before they sold it to you. The least they coulda done is re-sealed it lol. If there's no problems I wouldn't be worried about it (there is a 90 day return/exchange anyways) but I personally woulda asked for a different one if mine was presented like yours was.
Here's the picture of the screen imperfection: (sorry kinda has to be a big picture to see the dot).

It looks like a pin-point white dot, right under the "back" button placement. It shows when the screen is off as well. I'm assuming the issue is on the glass, but based on the fact that u can see it on the panel under the glass too I cant tell which is causing which. Either way I'm gonna go snag an exchange soon.

My experience was uneventful. Box was sealed with same round tape. We opened it to make sure the case was there and it was there, in a bag. No dead pixels here so far. I think I was the only one waiting for xoom when they opened.

box had clear tape on each side. Inside the Xoom was fully covered with screen protector, and clear wrap on everything else. Insert said enjoy your free accessory under tray. 3 other square documents and the ac adapter was sealed in a bag. The free gel case was sealed in a clear bag with a white bar code sticker.

Actually as the guy that took them off the truck, they come sealed. They already have the case in them. We broke the seal on the display, two clear tape circles. Then there is a plastic bag on the outside but it is not sealed.

I returned my first xoom b/c it had 2 dead pixels, new one has 1 dead in the center. I wonder if I should just deal with it or return it again.. sticks out like a sore thumb while on a white background.
Is this just something I should expect to have?

Ina plastic bag, sealed on both sides with tape. Had some plastic covering on the front and back of the Xoom. A bunch of paperwork, and the case/accessories in seperate bags.
Sent from my Xoom.

Are you guys saying that your boxes were sealed? Both of my defective dead pixel ridden xooms both had their boxes seal broken when I bought it.

Thanks.. I can't stand dead pixels, I dont know if I'm crazy for wanting to exchange it again over a dead pixel. I hope they don't cut me off.

Don't accept an opened box from them.
Sent from my Xoom.

Mine was opened but the Xoom and all accessories are clearly untouched. I think I'm ok.
Plus I have no dead pixels. Everything working great including GPS. I'm still surprised motorola doesn't advertise STANDALONE GPS on the box. For me it's kind of a deal breaker if I were to get ipad or xoom.
Anyone knows if u buy xoom using amex at costco, do u get just 2 total years of warranty because costco add one year for u out do u get another extra year because amex also adds a year on top of manufacturer warranty for tech products, so makes it 3 total.

Got mine at Costco this last Sunday.
Brought the card up to the counter (first one I think, lol) and she came back with the box in a plastic bag (unsealed). The box itself had two pieces of tape on either side, and everything was inside the box. Cables and "gel" cover were in sealed packages along with all the note cards and disclaimers.
Nothing out of place, and not a single dead pixel (my condolences to those who got lemons ).
On a personal note, this gel cover bites. The one I got for my HTC Hero was actual rubbery, spongy feeling gel which could take an impact and gave a good grip. This one feels more like a plastic case, and it slips out of my hand quite a bit with such a smooth surface.

As others have said, I got mine from Costco on Monday. The box was sealed with 2 round stickers at each end, and all the items were in plastic wrap. The XOOM was in some sort of plastic skin that you had to peel off and the screen has the protective plastic skin. The rubber gel cover was also in plastic wrap with some sort of cardboard. I slipped that puppy on as fast as I could in order to keep it pristine.
On a side note.... yes, I am a gadget freak (teetering on being an obsession), but this was mainly for my wife. I need to get the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor), but it is lacking. I might return the XOOM, though. The browser keeps crashing. She visits her stock trading web site a lot, and the flash-based site seems to get stuck loading. A refresh doesn't help. So, I taught her how to close each tab and then start over. I'm getting **** for recommending this to her.

Bought mine today.. perfectly sealed on the bottom with a sticker that rips the boxart if you remove it. The free gel case was included inside with an official pamphlet that said :" look under the cover to see your reward" or something like that .. lol. Im loving it so far.

My desire case experience

Bought a case from Amazon for £1.79 and wanted to share what a great find it is.
Already bought a Krussel leather off the self from CPW which was fine for a while but now it has loosened a bit a couple of times the phone has almost flown out of the pouch. Luckily I never dropped it!
In some desperation I searched for a silicon/gel case to get me by till some official cases appear on the market. I knew others had some mixed reviews about the nexus one cases mobilefun were selling but I didn't want to spend that much on something that I was intending to be temporary. Instead I found this on amazon Accessory Village HTC Google Nexus One (Black) Super Hydro Gel Protective Armour/Case/Skin/Cover/Shellon.
It's really good! Power button and volume buttons are perfect with raised bits over them. All holes match up fine, only part that is not perfect is the speaker holes on the back and I'm sure I can modify them.
I've taken some pics and will upload them later when I get in front of my pc.
Great find!
Looking at it, it seems to be identical to the one that MobileFun are offering, albeit you save 9 of your Great British pounds
I ordered one the same as this from eBay earlier, I hope it does the job till something more permanent comes along!
I have this aswell.
It's a slightly tighter fit than one would expect, and i do fear it may start to damage the back of the phone if left on for a long period of time. When i say that i mean the rubber type material on the back of the phone may start to wear away? There's been reports of it already.
It is for the Nexus one and not Desire (like so many right now) but for the money it's a good temporary case.
Argh. Got side tracked last night and ran out of time to post pics. Will do that later this morning.
Forgot also to mention 2 important things.
1 the supplier doesn't charge delivery in the UK and it arrived next day.
2 the case pictured is totally different from the one I received. It's not black, its semi transparent with a nice dotted pattern. It doesn't have a hideous red stripe across the back and there is no nexus one logo on it. In fact as its semi transparent u can pretty clearly see the HTC logo through it.
Something else, the case is a perfect fit I think. Its just tight enough to make it just a little difficult to put on but not so tight you think it will damage the phone.
Pics now below. Ignore the screen protector its just a temporary one till a proper one arrives.

I bought the same case but paid 2.95 on ebay :-(
Agree it's a good fit, but still concerned it might mark the phone, which I can only see it doing if removing and inserting the phone from the case a lot, as it's a good fit and does not move around.
don't worry about it marking the phone, I have exactly the same silicon case but for htc hero (the same colour, looks and all) and it has never marked my phone for 9 months I've been using it.
Thank you zzleezz, your pics made me order this cover

Your very welcome
Thanks for the info Predo, nice to know it will be kind to my phone. How does your hero version look after 9 months in your pocket? Still have the shine?
Saquib - 2.95 still a very good price
Have now put a Vikuiti screen protector on mine, wow, silky smooth. Really easy to fit and worth the £9ish I paid for it. So glad it was on there as ive already managed to scratch it with something, no idea how just glad it wasnt the screen Also bought this from Amazon and was delivered from Germany in 2 days with free delivery. Very easy to fit too.
One other thing about the case, it fits so well that if your screen protector is also a perfect fit then the case tends to lift the edges of the screen protector. You can see that on the pics above. I had to trim a little off the corners a the top of my screen protector to stop this but its now perfect.
look just like new. i think that this case is awesome and will deffo be getting one for desire when i eventually buy it.

Good luck

I ordered one of those. But since its from HK it will probbably take a couple of weeks to arrive.
Just so you guys know - I ordered the case via the amazon link for the hybrid protective armor and didn't receive the same as the original poster. Mine is a hard 2 piece shell, rubberized on the outside but plastic in the inside - I haven't actually received my desire yet (stupid vodafone) but I'm not sure how good it would be. The back clips on to the front fascia. Seems pretty sturdy but not sure if the plastic would scratch the Desire at all? It's not a gel case anyway.
Anyway, just a warning - maybe they didn't have the one in stock for me.. or even for the original poster - my invoice said HTC google nexus one hybrid black. I can take photo's if anyones interested
I was afraid of this. Hope your case ends up being ok, but as was thinking when I originally ordered mine its not a great deal of money to risk

I have mine (which is the same as the pictures on the first page and cost £1.79 from Amazon). I think it looks pretty good to be honest, not sure about the feel, but the problem is I don't have my bloody Desire yet! T-mobile still haven't sent me one and I ordered it 16 days ago now. This wait is horrible!
I hate waiting for gadgets to arrive in the post, often end up paying over the odds just so I can pick things up from a shop..
Feel for you Tom, can reassure you that the case looks a whole lot better on the phone than off it. And as for the desire itself I'm just blown away. Came from a HTC touch hd, had almost made up my mind to go for a iclone when I saw techradars top 15 phones on the planet (iphone number 2 and desire number 1).
Now I've convinced my wife to upgrade to the legend ill be in tech heaven for the next year

Lower latch phone housing replacement

Hello XDA,
after possessing my beloved Desire HD for a little more than 3 days, I almost broke the lower phone housing latch that gives acces to the SIM-card and the Micro SD memory card.

I gave HTC Netherlands a call only to hear the lady say that the "escalation" department was really busy. She didn't know whether I will get sent a new latch or not, nor when I receive an e-mail regarding this issue.
Do you guys have any idea when we will be able to order seperate phone housing parts? I am sure many people will either damage or lose the lower or side latch when the availability of this phone gets better.
There are now two reported cases of broken (lower/side) latches, including mine. Other case reported on a Dutch board regarding the Desire HD.
These plastic covers are poor for a flagship phone. HTC really should have made them from metal. Mine doesn't quiet close fully, and i can see inside the phone through the small gap.
I hope some third party company sees a market for metal ones and makes them.
i got a phone today with a different fault and its being replaced but one thing i did notice, when i unboxed the phone i looked at the sim cover for the gap that had been reported and it wasn't there.Yet as soon as i removed the sim cover then tried to put it back on the gap was there no matter how i tried to fit it and the middle part of the sim cover wasnt flush with the rest of the device it was slighty raised.
may be people getting phones on monday could check this out, also think this thread will get more replies if moved to the general section

I had the same issue too but after removing and fiddling a bit it's now flush. You just have to make sure the notches along the top edge line up correclty with the case.
I do hope someone makes a 3rd party cover which fits better and feels more secure. I'm too scared to grip the phone as tight as I'd like around the bottom for fear of the cover popping off
A 3rd part covers for the battery and sim card covers would be nice in cool colours to customise the phone on the outside
Managed to bend mine while trying to get the sim card in. Now it has a little link by the headphone and usb sockets.
It's minor but a replacement would be nice.

Not a good design. If you break them, the phone will be useless as the plastic cover contains the gsm antenna.

Same here - damaged lower sim card/memory slot cover
Hi,
I partially slid mine into a case - the sim card/memory card cover popped off and looks almost exactly like the damaged one at the beginning of this thread.
Looks like any pinching pressure can cause this damage - and this wasn't a lot, either.
Very annoyed, as otherwise, I think this phone is perfect.
I did the exact same. Straight out of the box, removed the cover to put the sim in and crack, right down it.
Is this something that should be replaced by HTC as a part not fit for purpose or will it be a case of needing to buy a new cover?
I'm gutted as apart from that the phone has been great.
Managed to take a picture...
Managed to take a photo of it. Damage to top is clear, the bevelling inwards around the usb port isn't so clear. Very similar to the original poster's damage.
Damn!
Ditto. I feel like such a prat. I didn't want to go down the whole send it back to t-mobile route so I'be sent a mail to htc in the hope that they can sort something out.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
This is ridiculous, the pics here are identical to how my cover looks too, kinked and cracked!
Anyway Im not sending it back now, but if theres a replacement I'll buy one, even better would be an alloy replacement thats more ridged fit and stronger.
What the hell ??
This is a deal breaker !
Is there anyone here who DIDN'T break the damn thing ?
Those with the broken pieces - Please state your batch, first or second batch of DHD's ?

Mine is fine, it's definitely a tricky removal, but once the SIM card is in, there's really no reason to remove it, except of course if you're swapping SD cards, but as the hunter always says... "softly, softly catch the monkey" or something like that!
Well...
...I'd totally agree with you except my latch cover came off when putting it into a snug case -if you pinch the cover by seams on both sides, you'll see the middle flex upwards.
When I put mine in the case, the pressure was enough to cause the latch to detach and bend, resulting in the damage.
I'm pretty annoyed as otherwise the phone is great so far.

It's not so much about there being a reason to remove it the fact is you should be able to remove it without it splitting in half how ever many time you like. Mine isnt broke but I cant seem to get a snug fit there is a 1mm gap. I mean I have never had a phone which I couldnt take the cover off without it splitting in my life this seems like very poor build quality/design.
My feedback from htc UK so far has been to try and send it back to where I bought it from and get a new unit. Which is less than ideal as I bought it online from t-mobile, so won't be able to pop into store for a direct swap. Also, apparently putting a repair ticket in via htc themselves will void the rest of the warranty.

Otterbox Commuter - phone got run over by a car and survived!

So, long story short...
I was stupid enough to drive off from a parking lot with my phone on top of the roof of the car.
Returned some time later to circle the parking lot, looking for it with no luck. Figured it must have held on through some turns due to the rubber corners, so I left the lot and retraced my route, leading back to a main street. Crawling at 10 mph at 2 o'clock in the morning, I held on to the hope that I would spot it.
Seeing a black object on the side of the road, I pulled over thinking I'd finally found it... only to discover it was someone else's expensive smartphone! As you can see from the pictures below, I think it's a Motorola Droid X with the screen smashed to bits.

Disheartened, but still not giving up, I kept driving. A couple of blocks down, I saw another black object and stopped in the middle of the road. It was the Otterbox's soft inner case... a few feet away from it I found the naked Inspire, and its battery. As you can imagine, I was already quite happy at this point.. but I couldn't see if the phone worked or not without the battery cover. So I made a u-turn, circled around twice, and found my battery cover as well as the Otterbox's outer shell, which was squished on the sides, with some of them flattened.. obviously run over by a car.
Back in the car, I inspected my phone (no scratches on the screen, some scrapes at the corners and around the lens, but all cosmetic), popped the battery in, and it didn't boot. I realized that I'd put the battery in the wrong way, and tried again. White screen, HTC logo, and CM7 boot! My phone had just survived falling from the roof of my car and being run over by another one.
Moral of the story is.. HTC build quality rocks and the Commuter is an awesome case! If it could do this for my phone, the Defender would pretty much render it indestructible.
PS I salvaged the 16gb microsd card from the Motorola and upgraded my 8gb one! Lmao.
got any pictures of the inspire?
ditto, wanna see how the phone itself fared.

Damage Report:
As you can see, the scratched areas are the corners and the lens (only the rim, not the glass!).. which are the only areas the Commuter's hard shell doesn't fully cover.
It seems as if the phone had shed the silicone skin before the corner damage occurred, as the skin seems to be unharmed.. that might have prevented some or most of them.
Not bad! Thanks for sharing because I have been considering that case.
Glad to have gotten the same case and I really do like the case personally the first time I put it on. Thanks for sharing your story mate.

Just got my phone this past Friday and I'm looking into getting accessories for it. Thank you for this post as it helped me decide which case to get now.
It'll be nice if Otter actually have some in stock for people that are looking to buy it.
I think they get new stock every few days. I tried to order a new one the night of the incident with no luck. The next afternoon, they were back in stock and I got my order in.
Sent from a telegraph station somewhere in northern Russia.
Sorry to hear about your accident Pheno.menon but look at the brightside, you have your phone intact with little to no damage.
Wow, good to see the case I bought a week prior to buying my Inspire does its job.
Bite the bullet and buy the Otterbox Commuter everyone, looking at mine now and am more than satisfied by the protection as well & the styling it gives the already beautiful phone.
I'm always in an attempt to keep it that way.
Specs of the case:
I know this is not the streak thread but hey i read them all! I must say the commuter is for real i dropped my streak from over six feet it bounced a couple times then slid on the concrete all i could think was well there went that phone i was sick because some peoples have been broken from way less. Anyway to get to the point no damage at all otterbox commuter a+++++++++++ a must have.

This thing turns a thin sexi phone into a BEAST. I guess it's all about how you treat your phone... if you're one to drop the phone, yeah, you need this, and it's worth having it turned into a thick beast of a phone for the protection, but if you're careful and not 12 years old, a standard case or no case is just fine.
It never ceases to amaze me that people buy slim\sleek phones, then put a big ol case on it... total waste. If it breaks it breaks. If you're that prone to destroying phones, get insurance. Not worth ruining the aesthetics of the phone.
I'm also baffled as to what would cause a car to run over a phone. I guess the same pool of people as end up on Judge Judy and Jerry Springer.
I think this thread just helped me make my decision on cases!

Unusual wear using Body Glove case

So I've had the Body Glove case for about a week now. It's the one with the removable belt clip/kickstand. Anyway, around the rear speaker I now have some indentations caused by the case. They appear to be permanent scratches. Kind of bugging the **** out of me. Can anyone with this case, take theirs off and see if they have the same issue?

Oh man. thanks for posting this picture. My case is definitely going back the minute I get it.
Thanks for the info indeed! I just looked at my phone due to your pics and I do see some minor indentations as well around the speaker like you and also around the camera. Not too bad, I can hardly see them, but I know they are there. I'm getting some other back cases in to cover it up but if I wasn't I would have bought those replacement covers on ebay.
To all, please check your phones! I'm removing this blasted case now...argh...
A heads up to those who have and/or will read this and are affected. According to tmonews, on Monday TMo will be offering a 50% off accessories coupon via their facebook page. Just print and take to a tmo store. I have every intention of returning this case and then using the coupon to get a different case for half off. For those that prefer instant gratification in exchange for paying a couple extra bucks, this offer is a great deal.

Edit: I felt this info would be pertinent enough to start an individual thread for it. If anyone feels leaving this post here in this thread is inappropriate, let me know and I will remove it.
Hopefully this thread will help people avoid that case. I use the black gel that's sold in the tmobile stores and I actually really like this case. I hated the gel for the hd2, but I used it just because. This one I actually keep on it all the time. It's that nice imo.
I have the same problem on mine too. I'm gonna get the black gel case tomorrow.
There are 2 solutions...one invisishield your device or stop using the case...what a bummer. I really love this case. I'm gonna do an exchange here soon and I'll invisishield it first and see the difference.
Just saw this case at the store, but decided against it!
I've had similar indentation problems with the other two-tone Body Glove case (no kickstand) that T-Mobile sells but around the 3.5mm headphone jack on top instead. After a couple days with the case off the indentations have gone away. I haven't put the case back on.
Trying to figure out if I should keep it naked or look for a different case to replace the Body Glove.
I also have the Body Glove case w/kickstand - but haven't seen this problem. Had it for about 2 weeks. Just took it off to check.
I'm gonna try not to worry about it.
Kind of feel like any hard case that comes out especially the tight ones, or even some of the gel cases will end up leaving a mark on the device in some way.
Me too :-[

Hi all,
I stand corrected and noticed the blemish by the speaker today. Very slight but there.
Is everyone planning on returning the Body Glove case w/kick stand? I am on the fence about returning the case - doesn't seem to be in any other areas and I figure I've had it on for the past 2 1/2 weeks so any other blemishes probably would have shown up by now.
Not returning mine. I got mine from wirelessground.com and for the price I personally do not think it's worth returning the case. I have since removed the case and awaiting a few barely there type cases from china.
But I already have a universal clip pouch that I bought from ebay which works well in protecting the phone IMO. Its kind of bulky but I cannot complain whereas I dropped my phone (about 3 feet high) the other night in the case and held up excellent.
Hey guys I work at a t-mobile corp retail store and all t-mobile stores should havegotten an email to pull the bodyglove two tone cases off the shelves. There is a fitment issue as well as what you guys are pointing out. Just an fyi I guess! GL
For the case being pulled, are you talking about the body glove icon case without the kickstand? I think that was mentioned on the other body glove thread and has caused some confusion because body glove has 2 different cases for the sensation. 1 with kickstand and 1 without.
Thanks

No, I think it's just the two tone body glove cases, because they leave a gap when put on the phone between the two parts of the case.
good thing tmo recognized it, though!
manufacturing flaw i suppose.. ive had mine on for 2 weeks now and had no issue with that, compared cases and your plastic looks imbezzled pointing inside the case causing the cuts, mine doesnt have that.. guess im lucky @[email protected]

Mods merge my post if you deem necessary
i noticed that too, it took an act of God himself to put my case on the first time! but after a while of taking it off and putting it back on it became a little easier

Yeah the first email we all got was special instructions of how to put the case on. You are supposed to put the top left corner of the phone in first and then snap the other side in. I believe it has something to do with the curved glass. To be specific on which cases are being pulled from the shelves they are the two tone bodyglove cases that come in a pink or a grey.

I bought the ballistic BC case and I love it. Except for the screen protector. It got scratched and really blurry and it really ruined the amazing quality of the infuses screen. So I applied a regular screen protector (pack of three from Walmart for 10 bucks) and popped out the built in case protector easily by pushing on the edges and then put the case back on and now I must say that I am back to liking the case. And I am most likley going to dremel off the little Red bar behind the camera because it gives my pictures a red tint to it. I was skeptical at first but now its all good.
(Edit)Does anyone else get this when they take a picture with flash?

so why do you even want a screen protector? The glass is scratch resistant and off course the screen looks so much better without it.

Because scratch resistant doesn't mean it will never get scratched. Even with just light use there are ever so slight scratch marks near the top of my phone.
I have no scratches on my screen. Even after taking a key to it lol. Anyways what i came in here for was to say i had the ballistic case and the proximity sensor part was messing with my phone. Took it back and got a refund. Gonna go back to the otterbox just because of the quality and the ease of using the buttons

get the SC case ive had one for about 2 weeks now and it works perfect no problems with it messing with the sensor or anything its not as big as the HC case it like the perfect size and i think it looks better it dosent have a built in screen protector but no need for it anyway
heres a link where u can buy it for like half the price
http://www.thecellguru.com/Products/32675
I have the same case and I removed the built in protector not long after getting it. It just takes away from the beauty of the screen.
Are there any good ones that don't take away from the luxury of the nice screen?
I have that same case.. I love the belt clip holder. And no. I don't have that problem. And I take a good amount of pictures. I hope that dremel fixes your problems.
And as you said.. those Walmart screen protectors worked fine? There's not any give on the front part that clips in? It seems like there would be more than usual because it is a lot thinner of a protector? (for everyone that doesn't have one it's a fairly sheet thick of pllastic)
And if you are coming here thinking of getting one, I will share my experiences with you. The case is made up of a hard plastic that is a .... well let's just say it's really hard to take off. Not impossible but especially that first time. This makes battery pulls harder. Sometimes you can get around it by killing the phone by holding the power for 6 or so seconds and then hitting the volume keys at the right time but it doesn't always work. The outer layer that comes on the case is nice and bulky. If you think that you will be sticking it in your pocket with this layer you got another thing coming. It's a very sticky plastic which makes it very hard to pull out of a pocket. It works very well with the case holder though. A rather obnoxious thing is there is slits around the base layer that the case slides into. The top two and the bottom two tend to come undone very easily. They always seem to slide out which is annoying. It's doesn't exactly make it feel like the case is going to come off but annoying. The only way that you can keep it in your pocket is if you don't have that layer on which decreases the protection. It feels VERY solid when you have the extra layer on and rather secure when you don't. It's also a little rough on the hands around the edges so if you have soft girly hands then you might want to looks else wards towards a pretty smooth case. But if you are a man and work in something tough or just aren't sure where you will drop it, this is the case for you. (Have never used otterbox..). But that is NOT to say that this case is by any means perfect. I had this problem where it felt like the vibration inside the case was going to rattle the phone to pieces.. that was kind of unnerving but I got used to it after a while. Then when on vacation I hopped onto a hotel bed, my right hip landing on the bed and the hip belt holder BROKE! I wasn't very happy because I was busy and couldn't go to ATT but it would no longer hold my phone. After all these problems I took it back to ATT where they quickly traded out the case for a new one.. I had my receipt of course.. I THINK they used it? Not positive. I have had this new case for 2 or so month have jumped onto my own bed and haven't broken it. It's also worth mentioning that at ATT they mentioned something about a one-time exchange policy. one coworker to another which means I can't break it again within my one year time frame. D: This is a bummer because I went through 3 ipod touches in one year. Let's say I realized just how much water was in my life... And finally if you are still reading this thanks, I didn't mean to make it so lengthy. In conclusion, it's a good case, pricy but protects it well. It's dropped a few times and I haven't really thought twice, because it's "designed to survive life".. just don't jump on a hotel bed.
